Diamond - what's in the box??

Hey all,
I've got mine on pre-order and have been looking around for ideas about what comes in the box. I found this: http://www.slashphone.com/htc-touch-diamond-unboxing-16485 and various other links to the same sourse.
It appears you get a charger, headphones, USB lead. However, there is no case?
There were rumours around that the special self-cleaning case might be included: http://www.phonemag.com/htc-touch-diamond-handset-cleaning-case-photos-video-052706.php but this is not present in the unboxing pics. For a phone to come from HTC without a case is a little strange...
Anyone found anything more about this???

[Q] Case with stand and access to USB?

Hello guys. I'm wondering if any of you know of a case with a stand capability for watching movies but one that allows the 8.9 tab to sit upside down so I can shove a flash drive in it.. It would also be great if it had a lower angle for typing but this isn't really necessary.
I know it's a stretch but maybe one of you has been lucky and found one of these.
Thanks!
I have this case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006OBKDFQ/ref=oh_o03_s00_i03_details and believe it can do that just fine.
If I have to I can take pictures of it tomorrow with a usb dongle and thumb drive.

I personally just ordered this one Executive Roocase I had one for my iPad 2 I just sold and loved it. The tablet is put into a sleeve which has Velcro on the back so when you put it into the case to watch it you can move it to what orientation you prefer.
Thanks guys but I didn't realize that by turning the tablet up side down, the audio jack would be inaccessible
Well, anyway, I ordered the keyboard dock which will solve all my issues. I was looking for anything other than a keyboard dock, but I guess I could live with that too.
You do know they have a media dock that might would better suit your needs, right?
Yes, I do. But I thought I would benefit from the keyboard also, when I actually needed it. Kind of like all-in-one solution. Thanks for the advices guys!

Making a Desktop Dock for myself, you want in?

Alright, First of all Hello Everyone.
I play around a tinker with hardware all the time. I thought to myself. I want a desktop dock to the Triumph.
What I have in mind is something that looks like the droid desk dock, with the flush dock to the screen.
Now our ports are on the bottom so there will be a small arm that swing up that has the HDMI and Micro USB plugs on it. It will be hinged and I was thinking you connect it to the arm and then swing it down into the doc itself. It will take me a while to make it and I plan on posting my progress as soon as I get started. My final version will be resin cast with the cables in place. I may need a broken phone to do the casting with.
Anyone think they may be interested?

cable to connect dock and tablet

I searched for similar threads and came up empty, so forgive me if the idea is not new.
Wouldn't it simplify matters if there were a cable to connect the tablet and dock, just like it was mounted? Then, the protective case or screen protector wouldn't matter or cause issues with docking. We could enjoy both worlds, and still use great cases like the upcoming Gumdrop.
I figure the tablet side could come from a usb data cable, but where could we source the male connector found in the dock?
Thoughts?
Just a thought,
A lot folks who bought the cheapster charging cables from Amazon had complaints about the male end coming apart easily.
I bought the 2 pack of the KHOMO brand cables and mine are solid.
I was wondering if maybe some of the really crappy ones might be easier to pull apart?
It would be cool to find a molex crimp type connector that would work.
Other than this I haven't a clue as to where to find the frigging Asus plug.
Have a look at this thread on tf101 connectors: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056615&page=4
I read elsewhere that tf101, tf201, tf300 and tf700 40 pin connectors are compatible. Can someone else confirm?

Good find link wise (guess I could've searched a little harder)
I imagine the 40 pin connector is the same for all models, at least for 201 300 and 700 not sure about the tf101.
I know if you get the Asus USB adapter thing or the SDcard reader it works with all tablets.

tf700 not locking securely to dock

hello fellow tf700 users! I was wondering if anyone has come across their tablet not locking to the keyboard dock properly and if there is a way to fix it? When I put my tablet into the dock I can hear the locking mechanism clicks but I can easily move my tablet out of the dock without having to unlock it from the dock with the actual switch. It's is quite annoying. Is it because My digitizer is cracked so its not fitting snuggly? I used the tf300 keyboard for a while before getting the tf700 one and although it worked the dock opening was slightly wider than the actual tablet so my screen cracked after a lot of closing and opening the dock/tablet. could t be my tablet isn't fitting snugly into the dock?

I have seen several posts of people saying that the little plastic thing that actually keeps the lock tight break easily. Maybe that's what happened to yours?
Man, you do seem to have gotten a serious lemon! You complain about everything, and everything has broken spontaneously or with some help from you. LOL!
Is there any part of your tablet that isn't broken?

loool, my tablet is actually running really smooth now, I just ask a lot of questions. Yea I read about the keyboard dock and apparently it is quite common for the tablet not to lock correctly. also only my keyboard lock and digitzer is broken > lol my digitzer is coming in from hongkong this week though and im excited to replace it cause I figured out how to install it myself!

I do hope it works out for you! Godspeed!
My dock won't lock at all. In fact even when its closed I think its going to come apart. I am on my second unit and it happened again. I have no idea why. I am not hard on it at all and it barely leaves my couch. Has Asus commented on this problem at all. In my opinion this is a major problem. Otherwise, I love the unit.
