Anyone else having problems with the Facebook up? For the past 2 days I get constant loading errors on WiFi and LTE. I know both are good cuz checked browser and speed test.
no errors here. are you getting connection errors? occasionally on 5GHZ N i get weird drops, but not sure if that's my router/device, etc.
try clearing cache/data on FB and try again.

I had the same issue along with others.
Get rid of the Facebook app altogether. I was getting above average battery life when i first got my Moto X but noticed that Facebook has a ton of wakelock issues so I used Greenify to let it do its thing and my battery life has improved even more. If you can, I would suggest using Greenify and let it do its magic on the Facebook app or just uninstall it and use the mobile version.
I use tinfoil for facebook ..a lot less invasive permission and always working !!

The application Facebook was ever too slow and I do not using it. I was login from browsers and everything was okay. Few days ago in all browsers I have, was impossible to see any image content on site of Facebook. So I download thems application but there was same problem. It loading pretty fast but it skip to load the photos. Even after selecting a thumbnail and open the photo I get only the black background of the image viewer of Facebook. But today I discover a very strange case. This problem with Facebook images is existing only on wifi networks. All other sites loading images without any bugs. When I am connected with my mobile data Facebook works perfect. I tryed too many times with switching to wifi and mobile data this morning. It load the photos only over mobile data. The net on my home router is much faster for sure but Facebook works better on the slower mobile data. 90 % of my surfing is browsing photos with huge resolution in hundred sites. The problem is only on Facebook site. At least is working over the mobile data and I can still use it. On my laptop everything is okay all the story of the post is about my android phone. Any ideas what stoppes Facebook working normal over wifi?

Well ayydin, your not alone. This is a huge problem for them at the moment and there is seemingly little known as to what is suddenly causing this, and when a fix might appear. Just be reassured that there are a million + other prople out there with the same problems. FYI, I tried many fixes, nothing solved the problem in the long run.
Whenever I launch Facebook while on Wifi, it tries to go to the mobile connection. But since Mobile Data is off, it doesn't work.
I go into LogCat and see something about "ipv6dns current tech is 14" message.
I've tried using SetDNS to bind IPv6 to IPv4, but no go... Facebook is the primary problem, but it seems like other apps (browser, twitter) tries the mobile network first instead of the Wifi... and every time it's due to IPv6 in Logcat... Still don't have an answer though.
I sometimes experience the same problem. It's so irritating that I practically stopped using FB on my phone...
Hi looking for abit of help and a fix for what is quite an annoying problem.
Push notifications and wifi is causing me many issues on my nexus 5 when the screen is off for over 8 mins my push notifications for all apps just seem to stop. This is an issue with wifi only as 3g is totally fine.
The keep wifi on when screen off setting is set to always already and power saver is disabled.
Booted into safe mode and it seems that the problem doesn't actually exist when am in safe mode from my testing so far. Iv sent a message on whatsapp told a contact to reply in exactly 11 minutes which they did and i received it with no issue.
App list:
Whatsapp Messenger
Greenify
Facebook
Twitter
Dropbox
Snapchat
Ebay
My Vodafone
Met office app
Franco Kernel updater
Which app could be causing a conflict here?
What is the best way to find out in none safe mode?
edit: corrected some info
Hi guys, I just done resetting my OPO to everything stock 44S, but when I tried downloading and install back my apps, it was ridiculously slow while downloading the apps. I checked my net is performing perfectly at 20Mbps, but Playstore download apps at 50-100Kbps I was like WTF??? I tried change DNS doesn't work either, but on mobile data is super fast, just like normal just WiFi. I tried my second phone WiFi also slow like hell but watch youtube etc is smooth. Is it possible Google side problem or my ISP problem?
If everything else works fine I would guess it's a Google problem. Or the routing to your place isn't that good? Are you using a VPN?

I was thinking the same thing. I got my OPO last Friday and I've been flashing roms all weekend. I also noticed that the Play Store download speed was ridiculously slow on wifi and LTE. I have AT&T and I also flashed Ark kernel. After about 2-3 hours, no matter what rom I was on, the Play Store apps sped up. I thought my issue had something to do with me going from 11S to 11 to 12 all weekend. (I had to find what worked for me) But it seems that irrespective of the kernel, cm version, and gapps I was using, the dl speed just popped back in gear after time.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance but my only solution was time. How long have you let your phone idle?

I think idle time doesn't matter, okay.... I tried with my friend's phone, it's also same, very very slow download speed, so must be Google side...
Like what others have said. If you had another device and play store downloads was also slow. Your home isp probably bad poor routing to the servers causing it to lag.
Some other tips. Disable wifi optimization if you haven't. Toggle wifi on and off and then try a download again. Restart your modem and router.

You can test the speed with a normal dl from a fast Server, bunt i think it was a Google Problem

Since updating to the OTA Lollipop the "T-Mobile My Account" app is killing my battery. I'm getting fast battery drain with that app being the highest consumer of power. I've been hesitant to root this phone - but that may be the only way to solve this. Are others seeing this? What options are there besides rooting and freezing/uninstalling?
If you know how to use adb, you can remove/block a lot of the bloatware apps including t-mobile my account app from running, without having to root your phone. i used this method while on kitkat and when i upgraded to lollipop, the apps i blocked stayed blocked. good luck!

I was reading fot rhe same problem, and found this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294/page78
I use it to stop the service T-Mobile My Account, is really easy to use and one you check the box in the program, go to APPS you see that the app is still there but force stop it, and then reboot the phone, the app wont start again. Im trying to see if my phone drain the battery again whitout it, kk give about 29 hours of use, hard use skype and phone calls and whatsapp and wifi all the time, i want to see how much juice i get now with lollipop... hope this is useful for you.
Hi folks,
I scoured through all the battery related discussions and wasn't able to find an issue similar to mine, so I hope it's okay to post a new thread on this topic. I have an AT&T (Snapdragon) Galaxy S7 with stock software and about a month and a half ago I started experiencing horrible battery life. I have been desperately trying to figure out what the issue is. At first I thought it was AT&T WiFi calling because it was forcing my WiFi and data connections to toggle back and forth and disabling that did help. However my battery life was still poor and I could never get more than about 10.5 hours of moderate use (see pictures below). Also the phone gets hot randomly (Above 95 Fahrenheit) even when doing minor tasks like browsing through Chrome. Since then I have made the following changes with no noticeable improvement:
Disabled advanced LTE services
Disabled Always on Display
Disabled WiFi and Bluetooth location scanning
Disabled nearby device scanning
Wiped cache multiple times
Temporarily disabled Bluetooth and WiFi to monitor the difference
Used Greenify Aggressive Dose
Disabled all diagnostic reporting
Uninstalled Oculus when that battery issue came up
Side note: I disabled a bunch of bloatware right when I got the phone, not through Package Disabler but through the standard Android disable method
I kept digging and found that my phone doesn't enter dose unless I use Greenify, and even then I don't notice a difference. I then decided to do a hard reset but no luck. Afterwards I used Safe Mode to see if any 3rd party apps were misbehaving, but again the drain was consistent both while idle and while using the phone. Today I installed Wakelock Detector Lite and found that PowerManagerService is keeping my phone from dosing, but from what I've read online it seems that info doesn't really point to a specific app, and it's hard to identify unless I root the phone which I don't want to do.
I am going crazy trying to figure out if this is a software/settings issue or if I should just replace the phone through AT&T and risk getting a defective refurb. Any help would be much appreciated.

Many people have similar problems. One reason was the buggy oculus app (you might wanna disable that when it came pre installed, depending on your CSC).
However the main reason behind the high "android-system" usage is still unclear. Some people experience it, some dont. Some people have better battery results with the firmware from March.
Personally, I believe that it is firmware related. I tried the N7 rom port and did not have a problem at all.
You might wanna wait for the October update that will hit soon and see if this fixes anything.
I notice you have 'media server' showing in your battery stats. My wife had that showing too and also had terrible battery life. Her fix was disabling the auto streaming in her Facebook app which plays videos while you scroll through posts. Now she has great battery life!
I have the Facebook app disabled on my phone altogether. I've also used safe mode where 3rd party apps are disabled but the battery still drains at around 5% an hour while idle.
WiFi calling was draining one members battery, disabled that and everything returned to normal

I had that issue too but have since disabled WiFi calling
most likely a software issue. my version is G930FXXU1APEQ and i'm been getting 11 hour on batty with around 6- 7 hour of screen on.
Try disabling Google backup. It's a huge battery drainer

Nothing has helped so far so I decided to uninstall my apps in batches until battery life improves. I'll then slowly reinstall them one by one until I find the culprit. I'll report back with my findings. Thanks for all the suggestions.
