Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has tried xposed modules yet. I don't know how well they work with kit Kat yet...

probably better to check out the main xposed thread for that answer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
"Android 4.4 changed several things and it's therefore not compatible with Xposed yet. Thanks to many donations, I have ordered a Nexus 5, which is supposed to leave the warehouse by November 22. Once I received it, I will start adjusting Xposed for Android 4.4."

Is anyone else totally unable to watch any video in this app? I thought originally it was my installation of Adaway but upon confirming it works with Adaway enabled on my Nexus 10 running 4.3 I am surmising that its a 4.4 problem but wanted to check here first.

Same here with motox kitkat and nexus 7 kikat.
i doubt it a 4.4 problem, most likely its an app problem. was the app updated to be compatible with 4.4? did you send an email to the developer letting them know that they have to update?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if Xposed framework can break/fail OTA system updates (currently running stock rom on Nexus 5).
If so, how can I get pass that and actually apply OTA updates in the future?
Thanks!
Tom

No it can't, you can update, but will have to re-enable the Xposed framework after you install the OTA
Just curious, why do OTAs? When it's safer and secure to just use USB to update.

Yea, trying it right now. The installer zip is for 5.1.1. I can't get it to work so I think we're SOL for now.
Ok~ thanks

Maybe one of our devs can figure it out...it may just have something to do with Flashfire. Fingers crossed for getting it to work on the Verizon S6!
Not even the latest version of xposed working on this model? Geesh... Does TWRP even exist yet for the G920V? If I could back up I'd try it.

No, since we don't have root for 5.1.1. And no twrp either

Thanks for catching me up to speed. I recently got an s6 I'm on 5.0.2 with pong root. Wondering if this still won't work?
This is for TW 5.1.1. and will not work on 5.02. We need to pray someone comes up with a root method for 5.1.1 or they get exposed working on 5.0.x. The later seems unlikely and we can holy hope they figure out root on 5.1.1 for Verizon. Love this phone but the development limitations are a real bummer.

Ya, I posted this thread right after he released the first beta...he hadn't put the requirement of 5.1.1 in the OP at that point so I was bummed once I realized that.
Let's cross our fingers for root on 5.1.1 I'm really surprised about the lack of developing options for this model. Must be locked down pretty good

Ummmm what do you expect with a locked bootloader?
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
We've had locked bootloaders since the S3. We've managed to get root and Xposed on many devices. The S6 is a beast of a device, I'm surprised there isn't more work put into it. Because honestly, root is virtually useless right now. I am on rooted oc3, running Rick's ROM, and have a battery booster. That's bout all you can do. Root explorers are nice, if you have a reason. I am hoping for a break through. Patience is a virtue.
considering buying an S7 but my question is
are there many apps with root detection these days? i heard that rootcloak cant hide root from all apps
i love root but i still want to be able to use all my apps
I'm pretty sure rootcloak simply doesn't work ever since Lollipop (unless they've now figured out how to do that in a recent update).

so you cant hide root anymore?
Not that I know of - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though

pretty sure it does work in lolipop and above.

I have it running on my gf phone which is currently on cm12.1
Though i wouldn't say it's working on all apps, it does work fine for most.

I personally have never had any problems with apps that should have root detection ( like snapchat). There are some workarounds for these kinda problems, but if you don't want to through the hassle of doing them, then there is an xposed module called "XTouchWiz" that can fake your phone status to official so some apps might believe it's official not rooted.

Good to know. It was a while since I checked it, and back then there was no mention of Lollipop or Marshmallow support.

Hey mates,
Please hold your horses and hear me out!
Until we get a working Xposed, I would prefer to rock marshmallow for a few modules that I like.
Is there an available ROM or stock image that I can use for that purpose? I know I may have to wait for stable TWRP as well.
Planning to install that on a Verizon pixel, although will likely use it on T-Mobile network.
Thanks!

Pixel came with Android N. I *very* much doubt if anyone will invest time to bring to Android M on it
There will never be Marshmallow for this phone.

This is a true statement. I've never seen a rom for a phone that pre-dates the OS that the phone was released for.

Won't happen there is no source.

Fair enough, thanks for your replies. I guess will have to do without xposed for now.
