Recently I found a special edition of n8010 called engerneering edition or something,
It differs from the general n8010,it has a exynos 4410 dual-core CPU and only 1g ram.
(general edition has exynos 4412,Quad-core CPU and 2g ram, else are the same)
Now it has a system of android 4.0.3,every ROM for general n8010 dosen't work on this one.(A poor guy has tried this, and, thanks th him~!)
so I wanna know if I'd use android 4.0.4 or higher version, how?
Is it easy for ROM modifing?
Well,plz ignore my poor English~~

Its Likely real.. Samsung created a version of the Note 10.1 with alot less power. There were huge issues with its speed. I think it might have been sold to one test market or maybe just there testers. Anyway samsung then decided to NOT sell the device. The upgraded the cpu ram and a used faster memory and that is the one that we all have .
I do not remember all of the details but the above could be somewhat incorrect. I DO know there was a dual core 1 gb version that never made it to mass production . So that note seems to be one of them

Well, one of them I know,is reselled electronic waste with a terrible shell. So I think it almost impossible to be a fake one.
The one with perfect shell is about 180 USD,or 1100 rmb.

Yes that's it.The seller told me the same thing. He said that They're exactly for test use,and he got them by some ways.
If ROM modifing for specified CPU is easy, maybe I'll consider to get one~
May this pic help you.

I read it as a bought product .
But yes there have always been test products floating around or Sales Demo models .
The kernel on this one suggests it is one of the test jobs .
Multiple users bought S3 demo model that had no network .

The Xiaomi Phone 2S is a $320 smartphone with a 4.3 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.
It has a 2000mAh battery and an 8MP camera. There’s also a 32GB model which sells for about $370. And those prices are without any subsidies from wireless carriers.
On paper, it sounds pretty competitive with the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S IV, both of which will ship with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor in the US (The international version of Samsung’s phone will feature an Exynos 5 Octa).
The Xiaomi Phone 2A is a cheaper model with a starting price of about $240. It has a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260A dual-core processor, a 4.5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, ad 16GB of storage.
Both phones feature MIUI v5 software. It’s based on Android, but it has a user interface that’s been redesigned to look a bit more iPhone-like. The latest update also includes call recording, support for walkie-talkie type messaging, and more.
Just like a Nexus 4! But cheaper.
Whos getting this?

You will be hard pressed to find many here. Let alone any support for it.

Yeah as long as you support a device that breaks the gpl laws. Not to mention a group that takes the hardwork of others and then makes it closed sourced so they can make money off of it.

Got one => benchs
hi there,
got my hands on a unit (16GB). Aspect is exactly like Mi2. You can't tell.
Miui software strictly co,patible, as I flashed it with a 3.4.12, works like a charm.
Here's a first bench, not bad ...
or link http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=834899IMG201304171427291.jpg
Got one too, not bad
Got one too, left my HTC Sensation in a cab and couldn't retrieve it (despite having lookout installed..worthless). Basically came down to deciding between Xiaomi 2S, SGSIII, or Note II. Ended up with the Xiaomi 2S 16GB due to price (USD400) and nice internal specs. Couldn't justify spending so much more for not that many more features that I personally use in the other devices. I'm not a fan of MIUI, I'm using APEX Launcher.
The camera is pretty amazing IMO even though I just have the 8MP version, seems 32GB 13MP version is sold out most everywhere.

Why there is no separated thread for Xiaomi MI2S ? There must be plenty of roms available or am i fooling myself ?

Your fooling your self. There will be no rom threads for this device here due to the OEM lack of GPL compliance.

That means they dont release the kernel source code which they are required to. As long as they dont there will be no roms/threads posted here.
Hi, anyone can tell me if HDC S4 EXYNOS (Galaxy S4 Clone) is true. It is to sold in FastCardTech
Quad Core Exynos and 2 Gb. RAM,
Does it true?
Anybody have one of this ?
Some Forum write that is Fake, that is Dual Core with 512Mb, that is flashed for show wrong values.
maybe.
Qualcomm will never provide chips to little or unknown manufacture.
but Nvida will..
some people say samsung will provide chips for them. so i think maybe it's true.

It is a fake. It has been shown a few times in the forums these device only have the hardware they say they do about 1% of the time and they all have modded apps to support the false readings.
Apparently this phone has a MTK quad core 1.2 with 1gb of ram.
Not sure why these people bother. Paypal will refund everyone who was mis sold. (Eventually!)
Haha I'd but such a phone for my self if it was sold for like 2$ just to showoff to my friends and prank them

I do lo the idea of a fake fake. If you see what I mean. To be honest I've order one on the basis that 200 dollars is good value even for a 1.2 quad with 1gb of ram.

Oh I know what what you mean. With electronics just remember, you get what you pay for. The 1.2 quadcore with 1gb or ram could very well run like it has specs at half of that. Most of those devices tend to only have like 512mb of ram. This is one of the huge problems with devices out of China. Due to their lack of enforcing Copyright laws and false advertising laws they can say what ever they want really.

Agree with you but if you buy with a credit card and or PayPal, if they advertise a products Innacurately ten you have insurance against it.
In the uk anyway.
I have seen on older videos on internet, that S820(HTC 10,LG G5) outclasses the Exynos 8890. But i have seen Exynos 8890 doing wonders on Vulkan.
And how about Future proof? When Samsung stop releasing softwares for S7 in 1-2years, is there any way to get tot the newer android, knowing that we dont have CM14?
So should i switch my S7 for a S820 Device for gaming and future proof?
Upp
Dont worry about it, you will just get a new phone.

Hi guys, I think it's time to update my xz1 compact, and the s10e seems like the perfect successor!
I've been reading online review and all seem to point to the Snapdragon version being better than exynos in almost everything. The only downside would be the lack of rooting as far as I can tell.
I'm currently in Dubai so the version sold here is the Exynos. It's pretty cheap here but I was thinking of ordering the Chinese version (SM-G9700) online even if it costs $100 more. Does that make sense??
no
Well I did it for 2 reasons:
Support for dual band GNSS
Better battery

Don't have the phone yet but Goggle it and you'll find some articles on the fact that the Snapdragon 855 has support for it but apparently it has been disabled on US versions of it but not on the Hongkong/Chinese variants.

Same , mainly for battery life. Did you get it ?
So the battery life of the snapdragon version of the G970 is better? Because of better CPU power consumption? What are the other differences?
I am about to upgrade from a Note 4 and am unsure if there will be custom ROMs for either of the versions. Note4 almost only Snapdragon has custom, here it´s stated that Exynos will be having better support. Am a little confused if and which version I should take.
Thanks for any clarification...

I don't know if the battery is better as you find different infos from different users. For me it lasts similar to the S9 I had before, may be 15% more.
But I'm very happy with the overall performance as you can see from the Antutu values...

no, running same firmware and last one
Taro is the codename for the Snapdragon Gen 1, you can just Google it and find numerous references.... It could be there were different versions of CPU-Z showing either codename or "official" name, not sure as I don't use CPU Z, though....
