Hey guys, can anybody tell me if somebody is working on bugfree S-OFF for our One minis? I just wonder why there so less action in this forum. The mini is a great phone and so I hope there will be some action soon!
Yeah that would be great. I also hope that there will be more roms for our minis...

hi guys, i'm happy and glad that i got the almost perfect hero rom for my 32A magic. but i thing i really don't understand is that why when i use the tether while i charge my phone, its like boiling in hot water. can anyone pls help me with this... and when is HTC really gonna release the hero updates to the BT problem eh... its like killing me waiting for the updates.
Okay Fam,
I am new to forum, not really new to reverse engineering but new to the forum. Now, I am in no way a developer, more of a user. I follow instructions very well, and I read a lot. Since I joined here I have spent several cumulative hours reading and trying to get the understanding of Roms and Kernels and stuff. I pretty much got the jist of it now. I successfully perm-rooted and unlocked my MYT4G with the gfree method. This was done to my stock rom. I am also very satisfied using SetCPU to manage clocking speeds. Since using it I know it works as I do see a difference in Batt life. Now for the POLL.
Which custom rom are you guys using on the MYT4G? Please list why, and describe stability and speed(clock) and bulk. Those are my top concerns!!! I downloaded some of the newly leaked roms, so any feedback on those would be great as well. And please let me know if you are using SetCPU on the rom you explain, as I would love to continue using it.
(Some roms are saying not to use SetCPU on it for whatever reason. If you know that's the case with the rom you are using, please post!!!)
I know there are other threads asking about the best rom, but couldn't find one specifically for the MYT4G. Thanxx in advance my new smart family.
ANYONE?!!!
To early to tell
Well I'm a FNG so it is to early to tell which is my favorite.
I am happy to report that I successfully rooted last night to CyanogenMod 7 with the help of 1Andrew on mIRC last night (or should I say early this morning). THANKS A LOT Andrew!!! I have the HTC Inspire 4G. Do get me wrong now, I like all the different options that Cyanogen has, but I miss the HTC widgets, Sense, etc now that I'm on CyanogenMod. I'm searching around for something else now to get the HTC stuff back. I can definitely tell that I'm going to be a flashaholic LOL.

Sorry if I'm a novice with the lingo but what is "FNG"? And I was asking about roms for the MyTouch4G. Thanks for the input though Maverick.

I must have asked a taboo question, no replies!!!
New to forums, new to the Sensation 4G.
So far I've had this phone for less than 48 hours. What I've noticed about it thus far is it is fast, and it seems like I'm using maybe 1/16th of it's potential. The only apps I've installed thus far are the Tesla LED flashlight, and Facebook. I've also got a 32GB micro SD card in the mail which should be here Monday, and I've already got a Jawbone Icon for it as well.
What are the worthwhile apps to have on this phone, and are there any other mods that I should be looking into? Is there anything else I should know? Thanks for the help ahead of time.
Edit: Good cases, screen protectors, etc?
Welcome aboard!
Have you S-Off'd or rooted yet?
If not, get to it!
It's a blast and the phone will fly!
No, I haven't done anything to it yet as far as rooting or s-off'd (<-whatever that last one is).
Any chance you can point me to some good threads on both of those subjects? I'm really new to this whole modifying phones thing. I've been building computers for years, but this is obviously different.
Start here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
And then look thru the Development section and choose a rom.
The Apps and Themes section also has a lot of goodies.
A lot of things in that section need at least a rooted phone.
To install roms you will need to be S-Off'd.
S-Off = Security Off (Unlocked Bootloader)
Oh yeah...
Remember do a lot of reading.

You can root from a Macbook. There are a few threads in the development section on it.
But if you want to s-off , you will need a windows or Linux machine.
Or you can install windows on your MAC.

I flashed my sensataion with RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.1 and tried updating it to OTA_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_India_1.35.720.1-1.28.720.2_release to get Asia India language, but its not working. Can anyone uploade the RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_India_1.35.720.1 Stock ROM. It will be great.

Which model case mate do you recommend?
Also, can you point me to a good thread or something on the insertcoin? I have no idea what that is or even does and I'd want to of course compare to other programs/mods that do the same thing.
Thanks.
So I only had my htc sensation for about a week now , haven't had a chance to S-off or root yet ..... Updated to 2.3.4 and now I'm getting WiFi dropping every minute or two ?!? Anyone ran into this problem

Can someone point me to the thread that has the best software mod info? I know there is more than one, I'm just not sure which one exactly is the best if that makes sense. Thank you.
Hi,
i'm thinking of buying the cha cha but i want to know if the phone is getting a update to ICS (ice cream sandwich)
what do you think?
I personally wouldn't count on it tbh, due to the tiny amount of memory that HTC put into the Chacha :/
It's really too soon to say if it's going to get ICS or not. If we can get ChaCha to have cyanogenMod 7, which is becoming true, then I would say we have high chances.
Didn't they say that ICS can run even on low end devices?

yes they did - they also said that if the device runs gingerbread then it will be able to run ICS
Chacha = gingerbread
The only issue would be the willingness of HTC to modify ICS to work with keyboard and landscape screen. It maybe a liitle too much work for a device that isnt as popular as others.
Fingers crossed though cos the keyboard on my chacha still makes me drool!
Our main problem is the silly HTC Sense which is starting to annoy me a lot. If HTC will release ICS for ChaCha with Sense over it then it will be worse than any 3-days left-over pizza.
don't think HTC will help you, guys... I don't believe HTC will bring ICS to ChaCha. but I do believe cyanogenMod is going to update to ICS, and if we got cyanogenMod... well, you already know.
let's keep the guys in the development section motivated, ok?
I would be really glad to have a working ICS port, AOKP, CM9, stock, whatever. As long as I get the awesome browser, the interface and the task manager..
I used to have an HD2 ant guys managed to fit the rom it 85megs. So low memory is not the issue here. The issues probably going to in the porting of drivers for our weird 800mhz processor.
I would try any alpha-slow-jiggidy-jaggidy ICS rom, therefore I encourage developers to try and port a little ice-cream-sandwich love to our beloved chacha's!
Develoers got it running on LG Optimus GT540, which is an armv6 processor with 600mhz (even lower then ours) + they've got 80mb of ram free most of the time.
I see no reasons why it won't run on chacha's. So please, developers, try to port it!

Hmmmm, intriguing and interesting.. *evilgrin*
ChaCha no ICS
Hi, I just read on a HTC page that ChaCha will not get ICS from them officially.
But CM9 would be an option. I'm hoping for it.
Maybe the trick here is that ICS was thought as a smartphone / tablet OS, instead of gingerbread, made for phones only.
So, maybe the landscape orientation of our ChaCha could be no problem...
Top Secret
Nice found
Awww and there I was keeping it secret.. Oh well..

You guys don't really know how to keep a secret, do you?
What if he didn't want to make it public or share it on XDA?

Dude, what is your problem? Like seriously? Is it something with me?
The guy uploaded the video publicly on YouTube. He's even put in the description follow his twitter and website. I simply googled 'HTC ChaCha ics' as I've been doing for the last 3 months and it came up on the search results. I'm considering messaging the guy as I've done plenty of dev work with the Hannspad tablet ROMs, some kernel side stuff and various other works and thought I could lend a hand.
I don't see why you have to respond to my posts with such a militant attitude?

Don't worry, it's not just your posts. You're not that special.
Hey guys I would ask the Dev but the forums rules won't let me even PM them by the looks of it. I've searched for the answer in the HTC Sensation Main index and the DEVs thread to no avail.
The question has been asked in the Devs thread but it got no reply.

Anyway, I after many weeks of loving my HTC Sensation, I decided it was time to install a custom ROM, so I came to XDA because this is where I got the ROM for my HTC Magic years ago.
I found the right index read through all the ROM Dev threads and Pick Android Revolution HD 5.0.2.
rooted Suped CID's and all that flashed the ROM, all a piece of cake with this phone.
the only problem I have now is that with this new ROM my phone goes to sleep every 20seconds when idle regardless of the setting in "Settings->Display->Sleep"
And it also does it for apps which have the ability to stop the screen going into sleep mode such as Google Navigation and many games.
Anyone, else have had this problem with ARHd 5.0.x or any other ROMs could help out please.
Kieran.
yeah this is a known issue. Had the same ...let's call it bug with InsertCoin 4.0.5. It was fixed for me with 4.0.6. So i would suppose u should wait for an update which will come in the near future.
