Hi guyz, since i don't like the default parameters of stock JB (4.3) kernel,
i'm trying to use my own one witch i could have little less power usage
with hight tasks like web browsing or gaming.
Click to collapse
HOW IT WORKS?
Simply, it decrease the cpu ramping up to maxfreq to preserve
a lower voltages of the SoC, it means, less power usage.
HOW TO FLASH?
REALLY?!? :silly:
Flash it as a normal ROM.

You couldhave issues and choppynesses
Enjoy and, if you like, rate 5 stars
and sure, FEEDBACKS me!!
It's an order!
It should works with all 4.3 JB original samsungs rom.
BTW, it's only a script, not invasive as should.
YOU NEED ROM ROOTED TO USE THIS!

There is also a way to overclock maybe?

nope.. simply it only changes some values of the original pegasusQ governor, overclock is a feature of the modded kernel witch has the correct code in its modules
so, no modules no oc
btw, 4 cores at 1.6ghz is not a common situation, so, an overclock could only increase the consuption since 1 core goes to an OC value witch is to high..
you have to know, more is the freq, more and more is the power consuption
a simply ex, 1 dualcore at X freq absorbs less energy than 1 core at 2X freq.. but, the real teorical computation power is the same..
multithreading is to prevent high battery drain caused by too high freqs

Any feedback?

there is any way to allow unstable power charger in 4.3??

Allow?
I never saw unstable power while charging.. maybe you have some issues with cable..
anyway only kernel mod can change modules, so, only kernel mod could do what you would
It's only a setting

i have a problem with my note 2... extremly slow charging...
i try a lot of solution....
the only that work probly is to use moded kernel and use stweak or any other control kernel app for ignore unstable power

Without source code is impossible to change the code of the system

trying your script on hurricane v3 and I hit for the first time 22.000 points in antutu benchmark..considering there's no overclock it is a great result...the wall was always 21.700-21.900 more or less.

Lagging when playing music
i faced problem lagging when playing music.. with tried stock music player and music player.. is that due to this mod? i cant confirm it because i am flashing rom recently.. or anyone face this also??

Stock kernel that can go with N7100ZSUEML1 ?
Dear @iba21,
I have tried searching and asking around on multiple forums to no avail. Therefore trying here as a final attempt.
Would you happen to have a link to somewhere I can download a stock kernel that can go with N7100ZSUEML1 ? My custom counter is resetting to 1 even after Triangle away, as I don't have stock kernel.
Thanks very much in advance.

@iba21, stock kernel- will this work on custom roms kernel like phoenix, dn3 etc.?
Regards.

@iba21, testing on Phoenix stock kernel with pegasusq governor. Think you've done a great job.

You need it to go even higher with the MHz or, and that is really important, to adjust the maximum voltage. I don't like the feelin of not knowing how high the voltage is set ;-) Download the beta and set it to 1000MHz and 56 vsel. That worked fine for me...
Edit: Btw... thanks for the beta

The highest I've gotten mine was 1250 with 80 vsel. Any frequency after that only makes the device completely slow and unusable. So I think it may be a hardware limitation - which would explain the variance in maximum clocks from device to device.

battery drain is heavy. after 13 hours is the battery at 15%. (fb, whatsapp, browser,...)

And post the CPU bin for see how much it affects the voltages.

Also, what frequency are you stable at 1.4V? Based on this table you should be able to break 3GHz!

If you are on Kitkat navigate to /sys/devices/system/soc/soc0/soc_pvs with root explorer and open that with the text viewer.
If you are on JB still it is located at /d/acpuclk/pvs_bin

I haven't really modified the kernel yet. Because I'm on vacation. And it takes 8 hours to compile. But in 2 days I will be back home. So I will do much more . Graphics in games are working pretty good. Even on "extreme battery saving mode". So if You want to have great battery life just follow instructions in q/a.
And I don't really know if it contains codecs. It's pure cm 11 kernel.
Just wonder what features u had add in?

@ProtoDeVNan0,
I noticed that there is an HTC Weather under Accounts in Settings? I'd there a widget we could use with that? If so...I can't seen to find it.
BTW, Excellent ROM... fast and very light.
Thx in Advanced!

Thanks! . Yes There is actually HTC launcher. But I will have to fix it. Because doesn't seem to work properly. Also my flight got delayed. So I will have to build next version on my laptop. (It takes 8 hours). And now I will look what Can I do with the kernel etc.

Cyanogenmod is now a general os. For all hlte versions. And It seems like it does support N900T version.(When You check updater script.)
Edit:I have checked that model online. And it has 800 CPU. So it should be supported pretty much.

For now Only couple of apps. To make it look like L version etc. I could really do much more if it wouldn't take 8 hours to compile . But I have couple of cool ideas what could I add in the next version Also I'm sorry But I can't really make my rom on the first build to look like SlimRom or CRom. Guys making such advanced roms are incredibly smart and have a lot of time. Good workstation. And some of them doesn't work alone. Like me. But I can promise to make my rom as good as I can.

Please Help - Shutdowns

My G930FD is shutting down randomly... And I mean very randomly.
To explain, my issue is that once in a while, when receiving a call, my phone will begin to ring and then completely shut down before it even finishes the first ring. What's more is that I cannot start it back up unless I plug it in and then it does its little charging animation.
I have been stuck in situations where I need my phone, but didn't have a charger when this freak occurrence takes place... I've tried every combination of buttons but I cannot start the device unless I plug it in first.
My current setup:
Superman ROM, with Jesse kernel.
Clean flash.
This has happened with many super kernel versions, as well as the current version of Jesse kernel. I have also used many versions of Superman ROM, but I've only experienced this problem for the past couple weeks... I've tried everything. What is going on?

Dont worry you should change kernel , use supermans 1.5.2 beta. Join his telegram chanel you will find link in his kernel thread. You can also use the default kernel from his aroma installer.with his beta kernel you can use synapse to set your values.

I have been using the super kernel, all the way up to 1.5.1 and I've had this issue on each and every kernel that I've used. the only reason I'm using Jesse kernel right now is because of battery life.

I also had the same issues like you with superkernel 1.31,1.4.....
with latest beta and synapse i had not this issue.
the default samsungs kernel is the most stable. But if you want to experiment wth oc undervolting etc then use other kernels
in synapse when you go to the menu i show you in the screenshot first change the 2 governors at the bottom and leave the top one to interactive and at the end change the top one. I think if you do this wrong this is the reason for the freezes black screens revoots etc.
