It's normal, the cm team remove the lights.s5pc110.so from the rom so bln is broken. There is no fix yet but DerTeufel is working on a fix for devil kernel. Hopefully it will be working soon!

The latest devil kernel has fixed the issue with liblights and bln is now working. Plus it's an awesome kernel, you should give it a try!

Hello, i have downloaded and flashed my I9001 with [ROM][ICS][IMM76L] CyanogenMod 9 by ivendor - beta 2. I have a question about that rom. Can other kernels be installed using that Rom so that it can be overclocked and thus resulting in more performance. Im asking that because that Rom is quite perfect( ignoring the camera problem which after 5 pic gets jammed!). It would be nice if other kernels could be used. Im looking foward to know about it. Thanks in advance and cheers
Hi.!! 4.0.4 roms with aokp or cm9 sources used Vitality kernel before cm9 build 5 and Arco's new kernel.. So try if u can flash and use Vitality kernel

You shouldn't use that kernel, it's very outdated. The only ICS kernel that is updated frequently is the CastagnaIT Kernel. I would recommend to use that one if you want OC/UV support
I was Using CM9 Alpha 14 and i flashed vurrut's kernel i faced video playback problem

I think bryce09 can help you with this, either pm him or ask here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2092968 . I'm not expert with cm10.
are there any new kernels or older kernels that will work with the 4.2 bootlader and the latest .27 firmware? i just finally updated from 4.1 bootloader to 4.2 and latest firmware. did this so i could update cm10.1 from a old june version i had to the latest and greatest 10.2 . on my old setup i ran perf kernel. does anyone know of any kernels i can run on new setup?
Are you looking for a kernel for .27 firmware or a kernel for CM10.2?

more for cm10.2 does perf kenel still work?
No, perf kernel is not working anymore. Hasn't for a while.
I have been able to get some stock based kernels modified for CM10.1, one of them has overclocking abilities too. As for CM10.2, right now you are out of luck, as builds for it are still so new.
Sbdags has O/C kernels that work with CROMI, but those are all stock based.

Ya sucks I was happy with perfect and cm10.1 but of course cm force me to update as it wasn't supporting new 4.1 bootloader anymore. I figured if I was going to do it I'd go big. IL just wait it out. Cm 10.2 is running OK with exception of gas issue.

Whenever I try and flash Franco R32 to any recent CM11 nightlies or M3, I brick the phone. It boots and sits with the Google logo on the screen. I heard a rumor CM broke compatibility with Franco. Can we expect an update from Franco? it's been awhile since we have seen an updated kernal. Suggested Roms or Kernels to use?

Chaos kernel supports CM, always look for a kernel that says CAF for CM roms. Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551441.
