Hello, i have downloaded and flashed my I9001 with [ROM][ICS][IMM76L] CyanogenMod 9 by ivendor - beta 2. I have a question about that rom. Can other kernels be installed using that Rom so that it can be overclocked and thus resulting in more performance. Im asking that because that Rom is quite perfect( ignoring the camera problem which after 5 pic gets jammed!). It would be nice if other kernels could be used. Im looking foward to know about it. Thanks in advance and cheers
Hi.!! 4.0.4 roms with aokp or cm9 sources used Vitality kernel before cm9 build 5 and Arco's new kernel.. So try if u can flash and use Vitality kernel

I've tried the vitality kernel and its just awesome. Tweeked my S plus to 1800mhz

You shouldn't use that kernel, it's very outdated. The only ICS kernel that is updated frequently is the CastagnaIT Kernel. I would recommend to use that one if you want OC/UV support

I was Using CM9 Alpha 14 and i flashed vurrut's kernel i faced video playback problem
and when i used adiram's kernel problem still persists but dhiru,'s kernel doesnt have any problem??

don't give anyone wrong advise if you don't know about the topic how can you tell him to flash revolution kernel on CM9 its only made for CM10 it can even brick his device
so guyzz finally which kernel should be used for OC on CM9 Alpha 14
There stil no updated kernel yet for cm9.
Ask Ooi see he willing to build one for it.

Cm tweak is for cm based ROMs, all others is for, well, all others. Flash kernel after flashing ROM.

How i will find which roms are CM based?
Read the thread about the ROM you are interested in. If I'm not familiar with a ROM, i generally read the first page and the last few pages. That way I see what the dev says about it, and see more recent reviews/comments about the current version

U can go to setting-->about rom and read the information of your rom

i have a nexus s i9023 the normal version not 4g and it is rooted ...
very long time i used cyanogenmod 9/10/10.1 but after cyanogenmod 9 the other roms are very slowly ..
yesterday i was very angry because them .. so i flashed my nexus s to 2.3.3 gingerbread ...
now it is very fast the different is amazing
now i will flash the kernel with matr1x but i dont find matr1x kernels for 2.3.3
the video for this kernel i see at youtube ...
pleas help me
o yes ... if you can say me how cyanogenmod 10.1 works very fast like 2.3.3 on my phone then i will flash again my phone to cyanogenmod 10

The Matr1x gingerbread kernels have been taken down, however there may still be someone who has one archived. In the meantime, Franco developed one of the best ever. As for CM 10.1, it will be slower than gingerbread. CM 10 is quicker than 10.1.
I have 11.5 which is the latest that I have so you can give it a try and if it doesn't work I'll upload v10.

Cody Kernel v3.1 work for me(767 MHz OC cpu with RC1),it's support upto 878MHz.

lol i have seen that already but i need one built from galaxyfreak's kernel source
I get FC's with all previous oc kernel for cm11 so maybe we need a new updated oc kernel of 1 and 2 and 3 partitions can anyone make and provide it

Yes we need a OC kernel for our little Pico. based on CM 11 RC1.
BTW, for dark kernel how many partitions are needed on SD card can some one lead me to a thread so that I can try OCing!
