[ROM][DEV][10/7] - Stock Rooted - F320K11a (Loki'ed for AT&T) - No CIQ! - AT&T LG G2

First off please read this entire OP before you download!
Ok,
Here is the Korean F320K11a. Its lokied for AT&T.
I took out as much as the Korean stuff as I could find.
At the end of the setup it warns about "V3" as it seems to be some sort of government enforced antivirus. However I have removed all traces of it (I think).
The keyboard defaults to Korean (at times) so you will need to change it to English (sometimes) or just install your favorite keyboard.
There is NO CIQ at all!
I cleaned up as much as I could of the Korean stuff but when you send a text message the telephone number looks like it is formatted like an international number but it still sends and receives fine.
This has a couple extra features that our US xxxx10 builds dont...
I also changed the install method so it installs much faster now!
I am calling this a Dev build because I want to see if it is feasible to build a complete AT&T ROM off from. I also need all radio functions tested.
I need your feedback on that please!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the testing. I only tested basic functionality... Ran out of time and head to got work, lol

Scott, I'll test when I get off work. BTW, what are some of the differences you were seeing that the F320 variant has that the ATT models don't?

A couple things off the top of my head...
1. Can change theme
2. Can change network prefences (cellular)
3. Has the ability to hide the soft buttons.
4. Newer build by a month.
5. No CIQ which is the real reason I want this build to work. If not I got Candaian build I can work wiht too but buts the same revision of the current AT&T build. So not much woudl be gained (well, I cant say not much because I havent got home to play with it)

Cool, thanks. I'll be home in about 3 hours. I'm on PST, so when I get off I'll install right away and post feed back after going through the paces. then.

Very cool. I dont get LTE at home and dont know how to pair a bluetooth device to save my life (ironic?) so I cant test those things.
Plus an over all function test would be good.

Ok I flashed this as well Scott, testing LTE as we speak.
UPDATE: So it looks like I can't use any data at all. Definitely need that Bell backup.

Question should I just run factory reset or dies system need to be wiped as well before flashing?

Scott,
LTE data is working fine for me "outta the box". (can post screenshot if needed)
Bluetooth works exactly the same as with ATT firmware.
Tested play store by downloading myAT&T with no issue.
Fine work.
Only noticed that by default, keyboard was in Korean.
All Media fines are named in korean
Thanks

(EDIT)
There is a lot of Korean left, mostly in the dialer app it seems. For example, sending a message from the dial pad brings the keyboard up in Korean.

Yeah, I'm in the Los Angeles area with strong LTE, and I so happen to live and die by my bluetooth connection for my car and an occasional ear piece so I'll be able to test it through multiple bluetooth devices.

So I read the thread...no clear answer on if this actually works on the US art varient

Okay guys,
ROM is nice, a little rough around the edges here and there. Simply download another keyboard to get away from any Korean issues on keyboard, or uncheck it in the keyboard settings.
A big nono, is trying to flash any at&t Mods, equates to boot loop for the navbar recent mod. Make sure you have a nandroid(backup for the newer crowd) If CIQ is a big deal for you, then this can be a daily as far as I can tell. I am accustomed to the recent key, so it makes a bit of an issue for now staying with it. There were definitely some cool new features :hide navbar in specific app, allow install from unsigned apps with the option to make it ask you each time) Icons in notification shade were different, more squarish, settings key in pull down was different, located around the middle to the left as opposed to the right, WiFi tether enabled it appeared, did not test. A few more, but I don't remember off of the top of my head. All in all, I would guess this is a good base for Scott to go with if the Canadian variant is not loaded with CIQ. Any questions, shoot away. Ill do my best.
I feel you could definitely use this a daily, but like I stated before, I have used Scotts Roms since .. maybe the One X, maybe s2? who knows, but definitely for a while and he simply doesn't release or even test a ROM in public unless its a daily for 90% of the people.

My guess is that people who use these roms like IOS, but because of their carriers limited phone selection, or their economic status, cannot afford to buy a crapple device, therefore get a cheaper android phone and do their best to make it look like IOS, but yeah, to each their own.

RadioShack Clearance iPod Cable.

Hey guys, YMMV but my local radioshack is selling these for $2.99.
http://www.dhgate.com/hot-selling-g...track/p-ff80808134d4ebee0134d503542b1337.html
It's keycode 256, adjust your kl (root required) and you've got a button that'll do whatever you want. I set mine to
key 256 MEDIA_NEXT WAKE
Verified on 4.2.2 that it'll skip to the next song in Apollo and Pandora. I've found my car's headunit BT audio quality is subpar, This is a perfect add-on to allow me to skip tracks without looking at the phone and/or waking it up.
This information/post is regarding the use of this cable on the Photon Q LTE on Android.

You need to be careful about permissions. If you yank it to a windows box and put it back without fixed perms you won't be able to use any buttons (think: power). I used root browser, navigated to the folder, tapped the .kl, open as text, make your change and then save it.

Yeah, forgot to mention it takes a reboot to kick in. Also, this may not be the end-all solution for all inline buttons. 256 triggers when you ground the extra ring on the headphone jack.

Don't have an iPhone to pair it with, so I can't test this right now unfortunately.
Couple of screens showing new features!
The Digital watch face now allows custom photos as backgrounds straight from the watch (previously this was only possible on the phone). Clicking on the cog takes you to the gallery:
Flight mode toggle is in the dropdown shade now:
And it's in settings, alongside with an Alerts option (not sure if it was there before):
Finally, new firmware code:
Adaptive brightness is there, but there's no option to turn it off so no screens. It kicks in automatically, and is irrespective of the brightness setting. For example, setting the watch on 6 brightness inside will be dimmer than a 6 brightness outside.

This is what the big fuss was about.

MM, oh how we've all longed for you. Really, I've had it out with almost the whole XDA community over you, but without further ado we finally have a taste of MM baked on our beloved T-Mobile Note 5.

I can say that I can see, feel, and touch, why it took T-Mobile so long to bake MM on our Notes. Let's start out by saying...WOW!!! The smoothness is amazingly improved, as well as the speed of things throughout the entire OS.
The fingerprint scanner has been vastly improved, not even a millisecond and I am in with a simple touch of my finger.
Transitions are lovely! Smooth scrolling and navigating were pleasantly a thrill to have seen improved.
Clean, sleek, and refreshing overall look of things.
The notification bar has been refreshed with a new look and feel, with welcoming new animations and color. I took a slight peek at leaked images of MM's rabid beta builds and was slow to judge, but happily stayed faithful until the OTA was released, and BOY! Was I right because I didn't like what I saw. But with an overall hands on, I've warmed up to the slightly new notification center.
Battery life.
Battery life has been dramatically improved. I haven't done any technical testing, but could tell in a day, and a half, the magic of MM is real.
Features.
I've bumped into many minor, but strongly welcomed changes throughout MM, and would love to share one that I thought was worth telling.
After taking a screenshot, I notice instructions pop up, and I was pleased to see a new addiction to the screenshot feature...
Now! This is how I've expected the Note 5 to come out of the box, and had high hope that MM would bring the improvements. Boy, was I right! The MM update did just that.
I'm sure you have a story or have found some new features that you would like to share. Feel free to add helpful tips and new findings here. Thanks for reading and enjoy your long awaited sweetness of MM.

touchwhiz slowness is still a big issue for me
i love my note 5 and i bought a nexus 6p i was blown away. i've always been into clean android so when i learned cm was almost impossible that's when i realized the phone wasn't for me. hopefully the note 6 isn't locked down like the s7.
You know, I like everything about Marshmallow except the finger print sensor seems to fail more often, probably as a result of the speed boost it got. That and having to have a password when I boot up my phone (passwords are nowhere near as secure as fingerprints so I was faced with the decision to either use my extremely long backup password I had with Lollipop or reduce the complexity and I opted for the latter) are the only real issues I have with it.
Did you know you can long press the Marshmallow after triple tapping android version in about device and play a little game?

Yes, it's kinda neat, but even the KitKat and Lollipop firmwares had the same
feature in them, it's nothing new it's only a different game and better graphics.
Have a great day!

Every android version has had an easter egg. Havent been a "game" since they started doing their version of flappy birds

You know what the best security is? Physical security.
Also in regards to finger print security

Yeah it was a pain in the ace though. I'm a pretty patient guy but that was ridiculous. Whatever, either way it's good to have it now finally and mostly because of doze. I was about to jump to Project Fi but that is a different story. Really wish this device could utilize Sprint towers as well.

It sure was. I'm so pleased with MM that I don't even care about N on the Note 5; personally, I think N will destroy or brick the Note 5...I think.
I own a 6p, I also wanted to try Fi, but I'm too lazy to try...whatever that means.
MM for me is what LP was for you guys, I don't want N to brick it. It's that good.

Did you guys clean install??? Like, started fresh??? Pretty big update. If you guys are having issues, I strongly advise you all to backup and factory reset.

It's cool. You should leave this one up since I didn't post this only a picture of it cancelled on my phone. Lol

I'm surprised that Verizon has put out over 3 updates since I've had this phone because they were not known for being fast with their updating but this time around they pretty much beat every other carrier and even AT&T doesn't have MM 6 out yet.

That's what I'm saying! I was hoping for a better update. More towards battery enhancements is what I was looking for! But beggars can't be choosers! [emoji16]

Did you take the update? Is it any good performance and battery wise?
I did take the update. I don't notice anything performance wise. Battery doesn't seem to be draining "as fast". My battery is bad to.
I'm lucky to get 2 and a half hours of on screen time.
Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
LG G5 users also got the same update.

Yikes @ 2 hours on screen time!! That's extremely wrong and you should get Samsung to send you another one since all of our 5s have a 1 year warranty through Samsung... I'm getting 7 to 13 hours screen time with the brightness set all the way up so something is not right with yours! I even downgraded back to Lollipop because of MM 6s bad battery life drain!

Why don't you just downgrade back to Lollipop until they manage to get all the kinks figured out with MM 6... I have successfully proved you can downgrade on Verizon when we were all told it's impossible!! If that doesn't fix it, Samsung will send you another phone and you'll have to send yours back to them... That's how you do that.. Caall them an explain but don't make it sound like YOU did something because then they won't do it.
I am using mine on t-mobile and when ever I check for a system update it always says it's unaviable. Do I have to have a Verizon Sim in to check for the update.

If it's a Verizon phone no just download the firmware from sammobile or wherever you find it and flash via Odin but don't flash t-mobile on it.

Funny how you assume something such as that.. I'm a dev working gaining root for Verizon and you come along with less than 10 post and you're acting like a tough guy! If I was a "fool" I wouldn't be working on anything with the phones but you know something? It's people like you who come along and treat us devs on here like crap when if it wasn't for a lot of us no one would have anything! You should just disappear with that type of attitude because I can just stop all the work I'm doing and keep my Verizon kernel I built for myself and just leave xda altogether and maybe you can take over tough guy!
