R732XXU2CPB7 update - Samsung Gear S2

Any information about this update ?

You will see the change log once it downloads. The most important change that I noticed is adaptive brightness.

What country is this happening?
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

Don't have an iPhone to pair it with, so I can't test this right now unfortunately.
Couple of screens showing new features!
The Digital watch face now allows custom photos as backgrounds straight from the watch (previously this was only possible on the phone). Clicking on the cog takes you to the gallery:
Flight mode toggle is in the dropdown shade now:
And it's in settings, alongside with an Alerts option (not sure if it was there before):
Finally, new firmware code:
Adaptive brightness is there, but there's no option to turn it off so no screens. It kicks in automatically, and is irrespective of the brightness setting. For example, setting the watch on 6 brightness inside will be dimmer than a 6 brightness outside.

pair it to an Android phone of somebody you know - then perform the update through Gear Manager - then pair it with the iphone again (if it then still works...)

I'm pretty sure that Samsung will say this already clearly and loudly. As this is not the case here, I assume that there is still no iPhone compatibility. But March is not over yet ...

I mean the problem of the screen getting blank after a while (multiple of 30 mins) even if it is always on.
Like the below thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/gear-s2-classic-screen-off-mode-t3261093

I update my watch yesterday but have the impression that the battery runs out faster (2 days iso 3 days battery time). Anybody else any feedback ?

Anyone in the UK got this update yet? I'm in the UK but haven't received this update at all yet!

[ROM][DEV][10/7] - Stock Rooted - F320K11a (Loki'ed for AT&T) - No CIQ!

First off please read this entire OP before you download!
Ok,
Here is the Korean F320K11a. Its lokied for AT&T.
I took out as much as the Korean stuff as I could find.
At the end of the setup it warns about "V3" as it seems to be some sort of government enforced antivirus. However I have removed all traces of it (I think).
The keyboard defaults to Korean (at times) so you will need to change it to English (sometimes) or just install your favorite keyboard.
There is NO CIQ at all!
I cleaned up as much as I could of the Korean stuff but when you send a text message the telephone number looks like it is formatted like an international number but it still sends and receives fine.
This has a couple extra features that our US xxxx10 builds dont...
I also changed the install method so it installs much faster now!
I am calling this a Dev build because I want to see if it is feasible to build a complete AT&T ROM off from. I also need all radio functions tested.
I need your feedback on that please!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the testing. I only tested basic functionality... Ran out of time and head to got work, lol
Scott, I'll test when I get off work. BTW, what are some of the differences you were seeing that the F320 variant has that the ATT models don't?

A couple things off the top of my head...
1. Can change theme
2. Can change network prefences (cellular)
3. Has the ability to hide the soft buttons.
4. Newer build by a month.
5. No CIQ which is the real reason I want this build to work. If not I got Candaian build I can work wiht too but buts the same revision of the current AT&T build. So not much woudl be gained (well, I cant say not much because I havent got home to play with it)
Cool, thanks. I'll be home in about 3 hours. I'm on PST, so when I get off I'll install right away and post feed back after going through the paces. then.

Very cool. I dont get LTE at home and dont know how to pair a bluetooth device to save my life (ironic?) so I cant test those things.
Plus an over all function test would be good.

Ok I flashed this as well Scott, testing LTE as we speak.
UPDATE: So it looks like I can't use any data at all. Definitely need that Bell backup.
Question should I just run factory reset or dies system need to be wiped as well before flashing?

Scott,
LTE data is working fine for me "outta the box". (can post screenshot if needed)
Bluetooth works exactly the same as with ATT firmware.
Tested play store by downloading myAT&T with no issue.
Fine work.
Only noticed that by default, keyboard was in Korean.
All Media fines are named in korean
Thanks

(EDIT)
There is a lot of Korean left, mostly in the dialer app it seems. For example, sending a message from the dial pad brings the keyboard up in Korean.

Yeah, I'm in the Los Angeles area with strong LTE, and I so happen to live and die by my bluetooth connection for my car and an occasional ear piece so I'll be able to test it through multiple bluetooth devices.
So I read the thread...no clear answer on if this actually works on the US art varient

Okay guys,
ROM is nice, a little rough around the edges here and there. Simply download another keyboard to get away from any Korean issues on keyboard, or uncheck it in the keyboard settings.
A big nono, is trying to flash any at&t Mods, equates to boot loop for the navbar recent mod. Make sure you have a nandroid(backup for the newer crowd) If CIQ is a big deal for you, then this can be a daily as far as I can tell. I am accustomed to the recent key, so it makes a bit of an issue for now staying with it. There were definitely some cool new features :hide navbar in specific app, allow install from unsigned apps with the option to make it ask you each time) Icons in notification shade were different, more squarish, settings key in pull down was different, located around the middle to the left as opposed to the right, WiFi tether enabled it appeared, did not test. A few more, but I don't remember off of the top of my head. All in all, I would guess this is a good base for Scott to go with if the Canadian variant is not loaded with CIQ. Any questions, shoot away. Ill do my best.
I feel you could definitely use this a daily, but like I stated before, I have used Scotts Roms since .. maybe the One X, maybe s2? who knows, but definitely for a while and he simply doesn't release or even test a ROM in public unless its a daily for 90% of the people.

Yep I read it on a couple of sites only available with tmobile at this point and no explanation to why they did it either
Sent from my SM-G925P using XDA Free mobile app
its easy
when wifi is available they dont want you congesting their network at the same time
i personally dont care
when i used the download booster on the s5 it wouldnt work too well
downloads would frequently be corrupted
and lte speeds would be slower than without dl booster
i live in an area where my sprint lte speeds are great so it doesnt mack much of a difference
i have gotten over 50mbps on the speedtest app on just lte
i rarely turned on my wifi function lol
If you want download booster then I would check out Super Download. If you get it here on XDA for free or if you want spur the development along at Google Play store
Super Down 1.5 thread
During a recent test I was getting speeds of over 1Mbps
PS Requires root for the main feature to work
What currently affects the S6 having root. I know for the future it won't work for Samsung Pay. But if rooted now what would be the drawbacks?

-Mobile Galaxy note 5 receives new update to OH4 build number

T-Mobile Galaxy note is getting a new OTA, to build no.*OH4. We don’t have proper details about the OH4 update for T-Mobile Note 5 yet, but looks like Samsung*and T-Mobile noticed something that needed quick fixing. After all, it isn’t been long since Note 5*was launched by T-Mobile and Samsung.
The full version of the*software updateis*N920TUVU1BOH4, and it runs onAndroid 5.1.1*exactly.*
For now, pick up your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 and see if you have already received an OTA notification. If not, then it’s time to tap as many times as require/you can on ‘check for update’ button under Settings > About device > Software update.
Mine updated about an hour ago. I was hoping it would activate the Samsung pay app since i was accepted into the beta program but it did not. I wonder what's changed...
From what I can tell so far at least this update has fixed the wireless charging issue I was having when using the Samsung wireless pad that came with my S6. So far its been charging to full with no issues since this update. Before it would constantly pause and never charge fully.
This should be the video calling feature http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...oday-on-the-galaxy-note-5-and-galaxy-s6-edge/

I think I saw it in a similar thread when it was first reported yesterday. Wireless charging fix and auto brightness fix.
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
After installing the update I'm noticing that Wi-Fi performance is significantly worse than before. To the point where Wi-Fi Calling isn't a reliable way of making phone calls any more. Running a simple speedtest shows very spikey results, jitter is much higher. Tried it on multiple Wi-Fi locations.
When on LTE, service is excellent as usual. I'm stock.
Anyone else having this issue?
Anywhere in TMOs footprint using Carrier Aggregation (CA). I'm starting to see Band 12 as a default instead of Band 4.
This morning I received this notice of a new update. It doesn't say much, but is 112MB in size.

I'm guessing it's a Sprint thing since Enhanced Messaging is on the S6 and up but only for select carriers. Kind of similar to how only certain carriers have Reactivation Lock enabled on their Galaxy lines.
I'm hoping Sprint enables Enhanced Messaging in a later update like someone else said.

I have used the enhanced messaging with a friend on Verizon, and I am on Sprint. I believe it is only for the samsung phones, if you are using the enhanced messaging the other person has to have a samsung phone too. (I believe, but not positive.)

Around 200 countries are using Bixby voice...but why not be????
Plz fix it soon
I think Indians speak English Differently in a way too different accent and Bixby only understands U.S English that's why they are late to release it there.
If it wasn't like this why not have released on the same day when it was available in Pakistan.

What has Samsung to do with this? They have already released the bixby update from the backend. If it is on hold, it is due to the GOI circular that asks to submit a report on customer privacy and data sharing. Either Samsung is waiting for the clearance or busy setting up a secure setup / localized data server that can handle bixby data requests and can process them locally and rather sending the customer info out.
