i recently bought a galaxy s3 verizon unlocked and a new metro pcs sim card for it..ive activated the sim card and the phone works for calls and outgoing texts but my incoming texts and internet wont work..ive messed with apn's to no avail...with certain apn's i can get internet to work but still no incoming texts..
i noticed there is a grayed out apn for verizon that i cant edit or remove. dont know if this will help anyone helping me..

Actually i bought a Motorola XOOM 2 ,MZ616 , every thing is ok, Android 4 already down but my question is how to active the phone conversation , It has sim card but i wanted to use the sim for telephone conversation if possible . who can help me?

You can't. The sim card is for 3G and GPRS data connections only. No SMS, MMS or dialing is possible.
I recently switched from my GS2 (AT&T) to an unlocked GS3 (Verizon), but I couldn't find an APN listing to match my service so I used HiAPN to backup the settings from the old phone and used the same app to apply them to the GS3. It is now not allowing me to make or recieve phone calls, or even access the 4G network on AT&T. It says I'm trying to make international phone calls when I dial out, when I answer calls no one can hear me, but I can still text. I have the phone set to GLOBAL, should I set it to GSM?
1st thing to do is set it to Global mode! 2nd if you google AT&T apn you will find one around that you can add and 3rd you should not save a received call(Edit it to put the 1 after the plus sign) or call back after receiving a call as it doesnt input the number 1 after + so it makes it +(zip code)
And this phone only gets EDGE on AT&T
Hello all? I got the G920v, I'm not in the US, although phone came unlocked, but it's stock on H+ and I can't select 2g or 3g as I wish... Is it possible to obtain this with change of rom or by debrand long the phone? Thank you
You can't close between 2g and 3g in any phone, it automatically switches to the better network when available.

I purchased this J3 Emerge from Sprint and later carrier unlocked it and ported to T-Mobile. The phone can make and receive calls and data works but MMS fails both for media and for group texts. I have updated the APN based on T-mobiles recommendations but no luck. The T-Mobile tech support guy (who actually seemed very knowledgeable) said that some unlocked sprint phones basically get locked to using Sprint's servers to download and upload MMS. I asked him if rooting the phone would allow better access to this and he was unsure, so that is my question:
Is there a custom ROM or root app that will fix this phone's ability to send and receive MMS?

I have TMobile and Verizon sim set up. TMO is set as primary sim. Verizon sim can send texts but I am unable to receive texts on that sim. Any help would be great
I reached out to the MVNO and they refreshed the sim settings and after a restart all is well.
