Help with network settings - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

Hello all? I got the G920v, I'm not in the US, although phone came unlocked, but it's stock on H+ and I can't select 2g or 3g as I wish... Is it possible to obtain this with change of rom or by debrand long the phone? Thank you

You can't close between 2g and 3g in any phone, it automatically switches to the better network when available.

Hi. My phone is Samsung galaxy s6 verizon, im from Philippines
I cant send text messages. But i can make voice calls and i can receive text messages. Help me ASAP

Q- Desperate need of help Bell Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant

So I tried rooting and flashing my phone tonight. I messed up somewhere along the line and almost bricked my phone (phone--!--pc). I lucked into getting it into download mode and I flashed what I thought was a stock rom which is in the link here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=748131
I am on the Bell network in Canada with a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant by the way.
Now I got that rom to work eventually as in it doesn't boot loop and I have wi-fi working. Every now and then I get service through bell for text messages and voice calls but for the most part I only get "emergency calls only" or "no service."
I have no 3g connection whatsoever at any time.
I'm in desperate need for this to work properly even if it means losing the root I really don't care at this point. Just a working phone. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks for your time.
I did more research and finally found these APN settings: http://androidforums.com/optimus-one...500h-help.html
The 3g network seems to be working now and phone service and text messaging works more often than before but I still get a lot of emergency call only and no mobile network messages. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] Hero H9500 on O2 - no 3G connection

Hi, I hope somebody can help with this.
I have just received my new Hero H9500 Android phone. I am on O2 in the UK. I can connect to their network for calls & texts - I've even been able to make a video call. Internet is only achievable via WIFI. If I switch WIFI off and enable 3G, the phone just doesn't connect. I have tried downloading some apps to manage the 3G on/off, but this has made no difference. Having just got off the phone to O2, and them telling me that because it is not a phone that they sell they cannot help me, I'm now feeling a little hacked off!
The ROM is the stock ROM supplied, which I was intending to leave on, I'd rather not switch to the Zopo p900 ROM unless it is really necessary.
So if anybody has any useful advise, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!
****** I have resolved this problem...apologies if I wasted anybodies time! I manually changed the APN settings that O2 had automatically sent me when my SIM first registered on theor network and with a switch off and on of 3G it suddenly connected!

D850 (can't receive incoming calls) - tried countless things, need new suggestions!

After fiddling with countless different things and scouring the internet for help, I have decided to go to reddit & XDA to ask for suggestions.
I bought a AT&T LG G3 D850 of eBay to use in Europe, because it was pretty darn cheap. We have a good LTE network here, but no VoLTE support yet.
My carrier uses the following frequences:
GSM
900 (E-GSM) GSM
WCDMA
B1 (2100) UMTS
B8 (900 GSM) UMTS
LTE is not relevant for now, works fine data wise.
The D850 supports 900 (E-GSM)
The D850 supports the WCDMA B1 (2100), but not B8 (900 GSM)
I tried to figure out if my local WCDMA where I live is 2100Mhz B1 or 900Mhz B8, but couldn't for the life of me get my other android phone to tell me this information. I might ask my ISP for this info later.
I rooted and put TWRP on my D850 the moment I got it, and Installed Fulmics 6.5. I've also tried installing the latest modem/radio I could find. (I noticed that the baseband version didn't change though, so I assume I was already up to date.)
My issue:
I noticed 4G LTE worked absolutely fine, but never saw the phone on 3G. I noticed that option wasn't even avaliable in settings, so I couldn't force it on 3G. I later learned that AT&T brand their 3G as "4G".
Whatever, as long as I have LTE I'm happy, I thought.
Well the problem is, while the D850 is on LTE, it can't receive incoming calls. Outgoing calls work, they take a long time to go ringing however, and the D850 will switch from LTE to 2G/EDGE to start the call, it's this handover that takes a long wait I suppose.
I think the behaviour that should be happening, is that when an incoming call comes for the phone, it would normally switch to 3G to receive the call.
I assume, but I'm not sure, that the 3G in my area is 900MHz, which the D850 doesn't support, so it doesn't do the handover to 3G to receive the incoming call.
If the phone is locked on 2G/EDGE it can do incoming/outgoing calls without a hitch. Obviously I don't want to be stuck in 2G/Edge though, so I need to find a solution.
Either I need to find a way to get my D850 to do a quick handover to 2G/Edge for both outgoing & incoming calls, or I need to figure out if it should be running 3G on B1 2100Mhz.
I want to be able to stay on LTE and get it to handover to 2G GSM smoothly, I know I could be doing this manually, but it's way too inconvienient.
I'm out of ideas, can't find a solution to my problem by googling, so I have to put it to the brains of the internets and hope you guys come through for me. My last resort is to return the device and buy an international version or another phone entirely.
Sorry, that sounds like a pain in the behind. I have a work around for you though.
1) Get a Google voice phone number (you can do this online or through the app then uninstall it)
2) Install Google hangouts and hangouts dialer on your g3.
3) In Hangouts go to settings, click on your email address and be sure to check "receive incoming calls".
4) Set up call forwarding on your original number to your Google voice number. This can usually be done easily from your carriers voicemail setting, your carrier website or sometimes even as an option while setting up Google voice. It's carrier specific so you'll have to check which applies to you.
4a) (Optional) if your carrier supports it, set up Google voice as your voicemail. It transcribes you voicemail and let's you just play the recording from Hangouts. No dialing a system and going through all the annoying steps.
That's it! Then when someone calls you, Hangouts will ring when you're on LTE or your regular dialer if your on edge. *Drops mic*

Note Edge 915T Wont let me call while on LTE - Help needed :(

Hello all..
I have this issue with my Note Edge 915T (T-Mobile Variant). It is unlocked and I use it in Venezuela with Digitel (LTE BAND 3: 1800) and the phone DOES connect to LTE with no issues (I get the 4G/LTE icon), and I can browse with no problems, but no one can call me, nor can I make any calls or text. In other phones, when I call, data drops and I can call and when I finish, data comes back up. HEre, LTE stays up and my call does not get through. Then after some tries, it drops to EDGE and won't pick up LTE until I reboot or something.
If I try a different operator, it goes to HDSPA (3.5G) and I get voice and data (data drops while calling, but it ir normal), but I want to use my operator with LTE.
Im running MM and I deactivated VoLTE as my carrier does not support it, but is there something else I'm missing?
This may sound stupid, but have you set your APNs? You can also try resetting your network. Dial ##72786#. Also Does your carrier require any certain apps. Example FreedomPop requires a specific app for getting/making calls, as they are mainly VOIP MVNO...

Hi! thank you but yes, the APNs are perfect, I can use Data, the issue is that I cant call as the data signal stays in 4G/LTE and with my carrier, when calling, it drops data signal and it calls, here I can't. Im starting to think it has to do with CSC being with TMO, and I should use another one either from my country or a general One (BTU) for example. Will try to flash a rom from a different carrier to see if it works.
The only other option might be *#BAND# (2263),which could be dangerous, if you do not note original settings. Sometimes a complete ODIN can restore.
I normally use Nova Launcher - Widget- Activities- Somewhere under phone or settings. Shortcut Called PhoneInfo or DeviceInfo, which is much safer&consistently works! The app w/ same name no longer works. It took me forever & I always export my desktop, so I have that shortcut. The last option is an app called Samsung Phone Info+, but is paid or free if u know.... I really hate paid apps. It has under menu secret codes as well.

network issue?

Hi guys,
I recently purchased an unlocked Galaxy S6 (SM-G920R6) in the US and brought it with me to Ecuador as a gift for my dad. SIM card is "working" I can make phone calls and send SMS but when I try to call customer service or use the carrier services (USSD), I get connected to the Verizon Wireless Global Roaming hotline. Is there a way I can fix this?
I have changed the configuration to LTE/GSM (instead of global), selected the network manually, turned off roaming, etc...
Any suggestions?
Tried to contact Verizon but they claim it's not up to them.
Any input will be most welcomed!.
Thank you
Why not just add the number of the current network in the contacts? Saves you trouble of configuring. Just tell your dad to call that number instead.
