My English is not very good, so I apologize for any errors
I have Prestigio PMP7280C 3G.
I root'ed them and now I want to install CWM.
I do not know how to do it and that for this model it can be done.
Can I ask for help?
Thanks in help.
Install "Rom Manager" from google play store. It will let you install cwm for your device if it is available.

I try install CWM recovery using Rom Manager, but when I choose Recovery Setup, then Install and Uptade - Clocwork Mod Recovery in the next window program says Device not listed above and when I click it the new window says that the device is not supported by cwm.
Did I do something wrong?
Thx

i go into recovery from rom manager to flash a ROM or a kernel but i keep getting an error saying installation aborted with an open android and a red triangle.
Possibly a bad download. Try checking the MD5 Sum.

Can be also an incompatibility with CWM recovery. If you re-download and have problems again, try chaning your recovery.
I unrooted ,locked the boot loader and again rooted installed the twrp recovery still I get the same error .... Even when I download busybox form market it does not install it says I'm not rooted . But i am able to flash kernels but not roms ..
Are you sure that the rom is zipped well?

I was wondering if it was zipped well, cause CWM rom signature is disabled, so I tried zipping with WinRAR instead of 7zip but to no avail.
Does the fact that I had to OVERWRITE files in order to modify the updater script change something ? If I understand correctly from the thread you pointed to, META INF lists the files the zip should contain. Since I had to overwrite some, I guess it's normal that install fails, right ?
Damnit! All because I cant get the ray to self identify as ST18i or ST18a but instead I dont know why it says it's a ST18..
This happened to me once, because I wiped my sd card. To bypass this, I erased the first line of the build prop in the rom, so cwm (or twrp) will not check if the device is compatible with the rom.

what do I do now?
ps: when I clicked yes it asked me which version - 2x + or 3x + so didn't know wat to do ..

custom recoveries are the base for rooting and installing custom roms. I am quite surprised by how you managed to root successfully without installing a custom recovery.
My kind advice dont do anything without proper knowledge.
U can find clockworkmod recovery on the playstore
u can find all ur answers here in the xda forums
so read well before u flash
no dude , I got the cwm rom manage from the play store.. the trouble comes when I try to set up "custom recovery".. the thing is , cwm doesn't support my device and it requires me to manually install a cwm based recovery.. which I don't know how to do.. so any instructions on how to do that (or some alternative to cwm ) would be really helpful
thanks

then try installing the latest version suggested by the rom mangaer.
You could also try the twrp recovery. These recoveries support the rom manager
hope i helped

Good day all. I have a Lenovo A3300 (A7-30) tablet. I have downloaded and installed Online Nandroid Backup and have created a backup for restore. I have scoured the net for a custom recovery and have failed to find one.
1.Has anyone come across a custom recovery?
2.Is there any way to flash a nandroid backup without a custom recovery?
3. Is there a generic custom recovery for a MTK8382 device running 4.2.2?
Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Go in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/lenovo-tab-a7-30-a3300-development-t3346048
in this thread, you will find a lot of things for your A7-30 A3300 tablet, for G/GV, W/H/HV and T models.
the TWRP version is 3.0, material design, there, in that thread.
Good luck! Also, it's up to you to thank this post.
so guys i tried to install one of those KitKat roms but it always failed to install. Then i realised that my 4ext recovery version is 2.2.7 (latest is 2.4.6) so there are two ways to fix this problem, but i don't know how because i don't have any android on my device install
1) find a rom that is compatible with this old recovery
2) somehow update the recovery via recovery menu.
Thanks in advance and sorry that i'm noob with rooting lol

its easy....
go to google play store and download/install this
$ext recovery updater from
http://www.4ext.net/
once downloaded install it and run it, select update recovery and it will ask to connect network... click yes/ok and download latest recovery, this will itself install latest 4ext recovery on ur phone from android itself without even booting/computer assistance,
do say yes to enable smart recovery, when it ask .
