Have they fixed the format data glitch? That was the one thing keeping me from using TWRP since 2.6.0.0

Sorry, you'll have to check with goo. All I'm doing is packaging their recovery image into a flashable zip.

2.6.3.0 < 2.6.3.1.
2.6.3.1 is newer and thus contains changes like bug fixes but may also present new issues

Thanks 2.6.3.1 was causing my phone to hang on Samsung splash screen on reboot so I went back to 2.5 didn't want any problems causing me to have to get a new phone since this one is on MDL. I'll give 2.6.3.0 a whirl

Id stay away from 2.6.3.0 it'll give you issues as well. 2.5 based on works best. I find cwm 3.0.3.2 very stable as well

I know with the last cwm update there was a problem where once you were in recovery you couldn't get out of it, it just kept booting recovery. Do you know if that was fixed in the latest version?
I don't know what you mean; with every version of CWM I have used, including this one, when you say reboot system, it reboots regularly.
Re: [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.3.0
No chocolate is right. There was a version of cwm that did what he stated. I believe it was the latest version or one of them.

Sorry, I must not have used the last one. But no, when you tell this one to reboot, it does.

thanks, yeah it was 6.0.2.9. It was a big pain, I'm just trying to make sure this one is kosher before I go through that whole thing again
I just flashed it and it seems to be running just fine. It appears you can now sideload zips to flash, but as far as the TrueDualBoot, I can't seem to find anything that seems remotely close to that. Too bad. I'd love to be able to set up a dual boot on this phone, that sounds like it would be really cool.

I had this with TWRP once. The way around it is boot into download and press the volume button for "cancel" or reboot.
Battery removed didn't help at all. Well, only to get into download mode.

v6.0.2.9 is the bad one. I know, because I flashed that one and was stuck in Recovery loop. CWM Touch v6.0.3.0 works just fine. I know, because I'm using this one right now.

To be honest, many people have reported problems with TWRP 2.5.0.0. I too have reverted to 2.3.3.0 to avoid possible problems. Maybe you can give it a try.

can i replace TWRP with CWM recovery?

accordinf with many feedback CMW seems more stable...thank you.
From what I know with d2vzw: Either TWRP or CWM can be used. However, the backups are not interchangeable. And some flash zips may not work with one or the other; hench require one to work. The Dev will state as such.
From GalS3xy-I535 via Tapatalk²
As many times as you want.
The backups are not interchangeable and that part about CWM being more stable is bull...
Cheers.

I am using now TWRP recovery, never had a single problem.
It works as good as CWM, it's just a matter of taste, I like TWRP's design more.

It's more stable IMO, so far... The other one had issues with re booting back to the main menu for me, especially when trying to make a backup to the external sd card.

This is the most up To date twrp you can get. Rolling release. Versions do not matter
Can someone confirm that backup to exfat works?

I've read reports of flashify working. Don't quote me on it though. I'm at home with my comp. Used adb. Also, it was other versions of recoveries.

Honestly, I have never used flashify. I am in the process of making a backup so that I can verify it will restore correctly. Individuals in the other twrp thread used flashify to flash that version though.
Flashify works fine. I flashed this over top of the other TWRP using flashify. Works great when you are not by a computer!

I flash via fastboot as well. I was trying to say that if he is concerned about compatibility is because he maybe uses goo im instead of fastboot method.
So, if he used fastboot instead of apps, he wouldn't have that confusion.
