Re: [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.3.0
I know with the last cwm update there was a problem where once you were in recovery you couldn't get out of it, it just kept booting recovery. Do you know if that was fixed in the latest version?

I don't know what you mean; with every version of CWM I have used, including this one, when you say reboot system, it reboots regularly.

Re: [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 6.0.3.0
No chocolate is right. There was a version of cwm that did what he stated. I believe it was the latest version or one of them.

Sorry, I must not have used the last one. But no, when you tell this one to reboot, it does.

thanks, yeah it was 6.0.2.9. It was a big pain, I'm just trying to make sure this one is kosher before I go through that whole thing again

I just flashed it and it seems to be running just fine. It appears you can now sideload zips to flash, but as far as the TrueDualBoot, I can't seem to find anything that seems remotely close to that. Too bad. I'd love to be able to set up a dual boot on this phone, that sounds like it would be really cool.

I had this with TWRP once. The way around it is boot into download and press the volume button for "cancel" or reboot.
Battery removed didn't help at all. Well, only to get into download mode.

v6.0.2.9 is the bad one. I know, because I flashed that one and was stuck in Recovery loop. CWM Touch v6.0.3.0 works just fine. I know, because I'm using this one right now.

could you add exflat support please

[Q] What is the most stable CWM version for the LG P500/P509?

Hey everyone, I've been having my second brick dilemma over the past 24 hours. It seems that the latest version available via ROM Manager hasn't been installing correctly for Optimus One users (I've seen multiple cases). I'm very weary in trying to install CWM through RM again, and I want to know what the latest stable version you guys have is. Either that, or a recovery similar to CWM and can install CM10 again for me.
CWM 5.0.2.0, I have been using it for ten months without a single issue.

Alright. Do you know where I can find the recovery image? I don't trust ROM Manager to install it, as that's the one that was being installed when my phone bricked.

There's a list of flashable recovery zips in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523050
To install, just flash them using your current recovery.

Seeing as how I have the Optimus T (Basically the One with the old BB, new one doesn't allow networking as far as I can tell), would Touch work with it? I updated via ROM this time and now have 5.0.2.0 installed. :highfive:
Stable recovery
TOUCH RECOVERY of CWM 5.0.2.7 by vivekalady is the most stable . you can get it in the forum.or u may try twrp recovery.

Thanks. As I'm using the Optimus T with an upgraded Base Band, I'll hold off on the Touch version for now, but I'll definitely keep it in mind and try it later. There's really no part of this forum dedicated to the T, because it has a weird resemblance to the One but isn't like it in all ways.

cwm 6.0.1.5 touch?
First off.. thanks for creating this, so cool since official aint even out.. I'm a little bit confused, did you need the 6.0.1.4 touch file? In case, I have it in an .img and .tar.. it works perfect and easy install through Odin.. but I wasn't sure if you were asking for it, to use and help you make a cwm 6.01.5 touch version... is it possible though? Since it does exist for other phones and you already made a non-touch, could you please make a touch!? I like 6.0.1.5 but I'm always flashing and in cwm.. and I tried 6.0.1.5 the day it came out... but hours later I ran back to 6.0.1.4 touch..

[Q] CWM Touch Recovery in XOOM

I am a noob and have been reading the XOOM Android development recently.
I am thinking of installing CWM touch recovery in my XOOM (602)
Currently it is rooted with CWM recovery 4.0.0.4 version flashed. Also, using JB 4.2 Rom with EOS 4 (nightly 163)
Question:
Can I just boot into recovery and flash the zip file and reboot and it will work? I have read many posts but currently am not confident to try.
Secondly, which version would be recommended? (Any thread or link)
Thank you in advance.
Yes you can do that, however, I I recommend using TWRP as opposed to CWM. Check the development section for the most current TWRP zip.

And how do you get them to "stick" in the list in EZ Recovery? Thanks

well.
asking what the advantage of updating the recovery is like asking would you like to live in this old n cold no window house, or this new huge warm house? the new house will be picked, for obvious reasons. same thing when it comes to ANYTHING android related. when there is an update.. the person making the recovery updated it for a reason, he didn't just spend his free time to put out a new product for it to be worse..
He updated something within the code, maybe found a bug and fixed that.. there's sooo many different variables as to why one would want to update. You don't have to, no one is forcing you to, and if it's working for you then don't change it I guess..
but like when Android 4.2.2 came out you needed to update to the new recovery version because it wasn't working right with the new Android 4.2.2..
as for the .apk.. that's not mine, I only install it when I need to update recovery, I don't keep it installed so I wouldn't know, sorry.

There are many options. Use this one and flash in odin. I assume you know what that is since you're rooted. You could also use twrp recovery but I think cwm is easier to use for someone newer to custom recovery

Not a big deal. The point is its the easiest one to get started. Once installed CWM will ask to update to a newer version that will support it. Install with odin.

Pretty close to the same thing but Philz touch is gonna have more advanced options included that most dont use. Also going to have touch also which means instead of using the volume keys to navigate and power button to slect it is simply touch based.
