ok thanks its working but do you know how to get a flahable :tar.md5 file too?
(the file i got like you said before is only flashable when you rename it to .tar)
i think a .md5 file does not increase the BIN-counter and your warranty will stay

I use heimdall u create flashable tar.md5 because u only have ubuntu on my pc. But the files created with heimdall are also flashable with odin.

Sent from my GT-I9105P using xda app-developers app

i think you can do this on cygwin but i never tested

Heimdall>odin

http://www.glassechidna.com.au/products/heimdall/ if odin isn't working use heimdall. All you do is unzip the odin file and place the individual files into the proper place. You have to use the drivers heimdall comes with.

Just a bit of friendly handy helpful information. There is no need to keep opening new threads for your questions. Use the thread you already have (only one) when you ask a new question it will get bumped to the top for everyone to see.

[Q] Unrooting n8013

Hi,
So I'm new interms of Andriod and rooting, but have had an account for sometime. I just recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (n8013). I rooted it with the second method seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831152
On the website that the OP listed to go to, it has a unrooting file that is named n8000_stockrecovery. My problem is that he said use the PDA part of Odin with that to unroot it. However, since I have a n8013 do I use that file or a different one to unroot it?
Thanks,
renn
Just download the tar file for your device from samfirmware. Com and use that with odin.

Even better just download the zip and use odin to locate that file and it should only see the tar file there if you use the pda spot in odin to search for it.

But before you unroot you may want to use chanfires triangle away first if your trying to send it in for repair or return it. That will get rid of the flash count.

Yea, just save the file somewhere youll be able to find it easily. I just move it from the browser and drag and drop it to my desktop andfrom there move it to a folder i have on my desktop i named rootnote10.1 then just open odin and go to the pda spot and browse for the file in that folder and you should see the tar file. Make sure only auto reboot is checked in odin, make your tablet go into download mode and plug it into your pc and hit start after it recognizes it. It'll take a while to boot up initially so be patient. But if it takes more than 10 minutes id just boot into recovery mode and do a full wipe. I had to do that and it was fine after that.
