You may wish to have a look at the LG Optimus One FAQ. Depending on what version of Android was on your device before you rooted and installed CM, will dictate what your mobile network issue is. All ROMs starting with CM7 are new baseband. If your device had Android 2.2 prior to flashing, you are on old-baseband. There is a patch for that also in the LG Optimus One FAQ on the first page, not sure which post off the top of my head tho. If your device had Android 2.3 on it then you have a new baseband device which shouldn't require any patches.

My device was with CM7 before, so it was on Android 2.3.
When I check now for Baseband Version on About phone is "unknow" in there.
I really love this rom, anyone had this issue on LG P500 and have resolved?

Did you trim the ROM before flashing? Also did you wipe cache and dalvik cache? Without trimming the ROM there isn't enough free space left on the system partition to also install Gapps. Most times Gapps will break the ROM if it isn't trimmed. Please refer to the FAQ I mentioned previously.

Hi,
Can someboby help me? No matter what custom rom I flash, I get no network signal. I am from Delhi, India & I am using LG optimus 3D(P920).
I installed Lewa OS Rom, CM Nightly, King 3D. Everything else is fine, but I dont any any signal at all. In my Baseband Version section it says unknown Baseband. After this I tried installing Defy Broadband Switcher, But when i run the tool, It is closing down automatically, saying unexpected error has closed the application. Can someone explain why this is happening? What can I do to make custom rom get signal??
Thanks in Advance.
Are you on 21e baseband? If you aren't follow this guide http://p92x.acidhazardrom.com/guides/lg_flash_tool.html.
You will have to root and install cwm again

Hi,
Can you please let me know the baseband version from settings==> about phone==>baseband version
and the Software version.
best thing is to flash the 21E baseband, root and then install custom roms based on the 21E baseband versions. also, the kernels version needs to be matching with the kernel version in the settings ==> about phone ==> Kernel version.
the kernel version may be with + at the end or without the + at the end.
lets see what went wrong!

hi,
lzzar has given you the link http://p92x.acidhazardrom.com/guides/lg_flash_tool.html.
just follow the steps without deviation. your present baseband is V10d. you can flash 21E without worries.
download the V21E from the link. this is the best baseband. after you flash this baseband, you will have to root your phone, and then install clockwork mod recovery. Once this is done, you can flash any 21e based roms. your kernel does not have + in the end. after you falsh the baseband, check the kernel version again. all the roms have built in kernels. in case you want to try other kernels, try kernels without the + in the end and you will be fine.
all the best and keep posting!!

Thanks schubeir, Flashing 21e did the trick. Now when I install custom Rom, I am getting the signal. Thanks for your help. The only strange thing that is happening is with Lewa Rom, I cant seem to open Google play store & cant snchronize. With CyanogenMod 7.2+ v1.7.0 P920 Rom, my phone is getting rebotting a lot. But do you recommend a stable rom that dont have these problems.
Thanks Raj

With any CM based ROMS you will have to flash GAPPS (GoogleApps, you can search the forums for "gapps") separately.
also, CM based ROMS will not have proper 3D (you can take pics, but cannot view) and HDMI. without 3D, there is no point in having the O3D!
you can try ThiaZ, Promethius, Acura3D and other roms based on 21E and various Kernels, overclocked and non overclocked, retaining the 3D and HDMI features.

Hello. I would like to start this thread by saying that i'm a noob in phones and computers in general. So please talk with me like you are talking to a kid.
Now, lets get to the point.
I want to install a ROM on my LG p500 optimus one, any ''newer'' rom will do its job. Now i have rooted the phone(I think) and it was previously installed with 2.3.3 android, and I would like to have a link or a tutorial on precisely how to install it. I mean like 4.3.3 or any newer updates, but the condition is that the phone has to work, everything that works now has to work on the other ROM.
Also, I read somewhere, that some ROM's make your phone perform faster, do you think thats true? And can you show me a tutorial that meets the conditions in bold that i wrote previously?
Please read the following thread to install Kitkat android 4.4.2 which is a smooth ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303
But wifi tethering is not working

There is absolutely zero need to worry about lag or anything of such before trying a ROM, Kernel, etc. 'Swapper', 'Swapper 2', and other applications similar to these boost your phone's speed (and oh, not to mention, overall performance) to incredible amounts. They do so by literally increasing the phone's RAM be significant amounts (if you want them to). They use your SD card for the extra RAM. My phone currently has 321 applications installed on it, which should make it lag as GTA running on an under-clocked P500, but guess what? It works as smooth as it runs once you buy it (weird examples, but you're getting the point). My preferance: that should not be your worry. What your worry should be is installing a ROM/Firmware not compatible with your Kernel. Good luck!
The newest and smoothest ROM for me is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303 with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140930
If it doesn't work as smooth as you expected(that's not gonna happen), you can allways go back to your previous ROM. Try it

To the best of my knowledge there is no official 4.03 for the i896 (or the i897 that I have.) There are 4.x.x roms for both devices that run on the 2.3.3 (i896) and 2.3.5 (i897) bootloaders. In fact the devs have created/ported roms all the way to 5.1.1.
Are you on the stock 2.3.3 rom for the i896 or a custom rom?
Are your bootloader and modem at version 2.3.3 / KH2?
Is your device rooted?
Do you have a custom recovery installed?
Is there a specific rom you are wanting to flash?
Currently I am using a custom rom based on android 4.2.2. My Captivate is not being used as a phone, I use it as a media player and sports/activity tracker.

Since you are rooted but on stock recovery you can start at step 7 of the Odin method. That will give you a custom recovery which will allow you to flash the custom roms that come as zip files for flashing from a custom recovery. OR, you could start at the beginning of the Heimdall method.
After you get CWM recovery on your phone you will need to flash the ROM of your choice. Do you have a specific rom in mind? If not you can check through the Captivate Development sub-forum

Is there a particular reason you are seeking an ICS ROM and not something newer? (JB or KK)

I'm not sure how GApps affect wifi and sound.
You could try GApps from a different source: OpenGapps, Bank Gapps, CM GApps, Slim GApps, etc.
Make sure you use a GApps for Android 4.3. After installing it may take a while to update to newer Google Services Framework versions.

Is there any method we can change the build number on the cm13 zip file we download to be able to install it on a newer version?
or is there any method for us to build the cyanogenmod 13 rom on our own(since everything is available)? It should help many people. Also if possible I would like to build an aosp rom for our devices. I have another stupid question, please bear with me. Someone has created the cyanogenmod rom for us and it is official, but they did not make any posts in the xda forums .
Im curious about some of this stuff, too. Especially the reason why you can't flash on the newer firmware, and why no CM thread.

None of them for me.
Try pure nexus ROM,very few app come out of the build and install only what you need.Very stable for me
Stock... You need stock ROM for this situation, it is the most stable and battery friendly and the least confusing. At least they could ask someone who has general familiarity with Android questions without going into menus on Res Remix or AICP or something that would confuse them.
The situation calls for simplicity, stability, and functionality... stock is the best choice. If you don't have your backup, look around here, there are plenty of tutorials on how to go back to stock.
Go with stock rom
I was also looking for a stable ROM for Moto G3 XT1541. Interesting to see all the recommendations here to stay with the stock ROM. My reason for considering a custom ROM was that I've stopped getting system updates: last was around June with Android patch security level 1 April 2017 so I've assumed no more updates are being issued. I'm not comfortable using a system that isn't getting security updates, so is a custom ROM the way to go?
(Hope this isn't considered thread hijacking, happy to post as new thread if so.)
Stock or LineageOS, as they don't have unnecessary customizations.
