Anyone have a pair of these? Really like the look and price as compared to beats. Would like some good overear headphones that have good sound and are not ridiculous in price.
Thanks

I heard of them but never really tried them. I got the beats instead paid close to $300 for them with insurance. I'd suggest going to a best buy to try it or read the the reviews about it. If there's more good reviews than bad reviews I'd go for it.

dont get anything buy beats or soul unless you only like bass. I have both the ath m50 (over ear) and vmoda m-80 (on ear) and both so much much better then the beats and cost 150 each.
the m50s are a great set to get for 150 and sound great with our phones.

if you like to get them with the detachable cable mode, those are on sale right now for 160

Soul is $69.99. That's about my max. Just wondering if anyone has them

Those are on ear. Not over ear. Anyway your best bet is to go to bestbuy and try them out yourself. They price match amazon.
re
i would suggest going to a headphone site to get some great information.
Head-fi.org
You will quickly find out that Beats and Soul type headphones are more about name then sound quality.
Knowledge is power.... unless all you care about is looks.. then by all means get the beats.
It's ludicrous that you think this is good.
Since you started off with you like the looks, go for it. We can suggest to your more worthwhile alternatives but deep down you'll know you prefer beats/soul.
You've reached the point of no return, best stay on your current path.
I'm not trying to diss you, just trying to give some advice on how you should make your decision. Unless you're very discerning about the quality of music you play etc etc, beats/soul would be the best for you. Especially since you really like the design. Prioritise. Do you require sound quality or "looks"

These three are important to me, in order:
1) price
2) sound quality
3) looks ( not as important but it does matter)
The soul seems to get good reviews on amazon, that's why I asked

My cousin has both beats and soul. I've tried both and I personally think the soul are slightly better.

I love my beats studio edition. I know these going to be better out there but besides the point your going to be paying an arm and a leg for that. $70 for the souls go to bestbuy try them out and get them to price match amazon like the above poster said.

Ha ha ha everytime i go to the best buy by my house all their headphones are shot. There was a pair of the soul's that sounded like death when you raised the volume. I don't know if going off that would be the best. It seems like they are all that way. I think they allow the volume to go too loud and kills them. The beats usually sound good but they are also hooked up to their own system which I'm sure has been perfectly callibrated so that they sound their best which in the end makes it not a fair comparison.
Good luck none the less. I bought some Sony over the ear only because the cushions were so soft. A little too bassy for me but they get the job done.
I had the souls. Theyre OK. Maybe if anything, slightly better than skull candy bit nothing compared to beats

One more question. In your opinion does more bass equals better?
I picked these up at radio shack a couple months ago on clearance for $50 and for the price they are great, personally I think they sound better than the dre beats
No, I like some bass, but not overpowering. I like to actually hear the lyrics lol.

Ok. I recommend the Creative Aurvana Live. It should be within your price range as well. Go check out some reviews. It is also identical to the more expensive DENON AH-D1001.
It used to retail for about USD200 from memory but I believe you can get them for 50-70 now.

I have looked everywhere for a replacement pair of the stock headphones that shipped with the phone. Instead I get a ton of headphones with D700 on it and a bunch of negative reviews.
So I ask you the community, a way for me to accuire a pair of said headphones. Or a good replacement pair that won't break the bank.

Surprisingly, I use a full size sony headphone with ear cushion and notice no decline in battery charge compared to the out of box ear buds. The sound is much better and not too cumbersome. Price? ,,,about $40 but usable on the home stereo also.
i use a pair of meelectronics m11+ that has an inline mic control, these can be picked up for around 30-40
I got a pair similar to the oem headphones, off of Monoprice for a few bucks. They have a half dozen to choose from.

I found the OEM headphones quite terrible sounding. Now I an using UE TripleFi 10vi. It's very natural sounding and it takes advantage of the wolfson WM8994 DAC with voodoo 6 control & audio kernel by supercurio.
Yeah amazon has the best deals for headphones. As long as the title says OEM your good to go. I was about to buy a pair but I'll just wait till my current ones die out on me from sweat or the plug in messing up like all my other headphones. They've lasted quite a while though.
I use the black berry premium that have the music controls on them. However the music controls only bring up your calls list and dial your last number called. Sound is great.

Yeah, the stock Epic 4G headphones are pretty dope on their on... With Voodoo Control. Funny that I ignored them for the first month and a half thinking they were crappy. Wasn't until I checked on forums like this did I see people post positive feedback on them.

Believe it or not I got a pair of skull candies from fred meyer on sale for only $8 and they re great. The stock headphones have a mic though for answering calls. If you just want to jam though, get some skull candies on sale. They are awesome

I have the skullcandy ink'd earbuds. They have awesome bass for earbuds if you listen to music and you can get the ones with the mic, which I have. They come in a variety of colors and are available at about any store for $20. I got mine on Amazon for like $7 though.

I have Altec Lansing BackBeat Titanium 326 which I bought a little over a year ago. Awesome sound, good fit! The only downside is the cord is cloth- covered but I am use to it now. At time of purchase I paid about $30, a quick search shows they went up in price. Good luck!
New earphones
I lost my earphones that were bundled with LG Optimus One P500 & I need new ones (with mic) that fit into the following parameters:
1. under INR 500.
2. durable
3. with button that can change tracks in music player & change radio stations alongwith facilitating picking up calls.
4. decent music quality
5. Will a earphone with volume buttons work with this phone?
Wiling to expand budget if the pair is really deserving
If a guarantee is not clear, but if not, just Ebay problem.
skullcandy are overpriced for the sound quality they product, imho.
Well i personaly think it is but i have a question.
Will the new iphone be able to take it off its highhorse?

The iPhone will create extreme hype and there will be TONS of buyers. IPhone always wins most sold phone. Always.
Generally people thinks that makes it the best phone but there is nothing apple can do to actually make an iOS device better than an ANdroid
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
I wouldn't say there's nothing they can do, but I don't think they will. It's about preference and what people buy more of doesn't equate to what the best device is. More Ford F150's have been sold than any other vehicle in America in many studies. That doesn't make the F150 better than many sport coupes at the same price point, just for meeting different needs.
The same logic can be applied to Android phones. So many people say Samsung has horrible build quality, because they use plastic. Plastic has many properties that are better for smartphones than metal. It's lighter, better for heat dissipation, more forgiving of drops, etc. That doesn't mean that some people might prefer how sturdy an HTC phone feels.
There is no best. It's about preference.
Love this phone, ppl say it's a cheap build cuz it's plastic,I put a case on it and feels so good.I've had many phones, this is by far my favorite phone.only complaint is bad radio signal in weak spots....everything else is kosher.this is my first Samsung galaxy phone.sorry just felt like sharing.

agreed! I have owned devices from every current manufacturer and samsung is my favorite! people argue, whats the point of having a device with a weaker radio? my response is better battery life. then i also follow up and say, whats the point of having a wireless device if its constantly connected to a charger?? I have yet to hear a good reply on that lol.
I agree, I love it. I have had 3 HTC phones and, while they seem more "solid", they didn't seem to be of any better quality. To me "solid" = heavier and my Rezound is a beast, hence why my GF now has it. She can carry it around in a big purse, lol
Besides Samsung is more fun to play with...
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Yeah I agree. I never felt that my gs3 felt cheap. Yes, its made of plastic, but I would much prefer a lighter phone made of plastic to a heavier phone made of anything. the iPhone 5s: now made completely out of Tungsten Carbide. Nonsense. It's a phone.
I love my GS3. Build quality is OK, I like HTC for quality a little better though.

I pulled the stock FM radio app from a non-verizon stock image .. You either need to have a writable system partition w/ root or need to push these with adb from TWRP or CWM recovery (after mounting the system partition from the mount section)
Here you go (de-odexed)!
put these both in /system/priv-app

The stock headphones are the worst. I can't figure out how such an amazing phone came with such crap headphones. Lose 'em and don't look back.
So is there a built in FM tuner in this phone or is it using the headphones themselves to tune radio stations?

Well, I wholeheartedly disagree with your disagreement
Seriously, there's no noise isolation between the buds and the cables, meaning that they pick up way too much friction and impact noise from contact with your body and clothing; the control button is very flakey, and they're difficult to pack neatly for travel. And they just don't sound that great to me. My (listen-only) 10 year-old Koss PortaPros are head and shoulders above the HTCs as far as fidelity, isolation and frequency response is concerned. And while they're not technically as portable as the HTCs, they're actually worth the effort of taking along.*
I'm sure they have their strong points for you, but mine are hanging around only as headphones-of-last-resort.
* Am I the only guy that actually travels with no less than three sets of headphones? Bose QC-2s for in-flight, the Koss PPs for exercise and casual listening, and Apple earbuds for when I need to be mobile yet still able to answer the phone . . . And sometimes I bring my Mee AF-32s when I'm going to be in one place for a while. It's nice to be cable-free when the activity demands it, like cooking or doing chores.
