[Q] Why does my xperia tablet Z restart after the removal of a system app? - General Questions and Answers

16GB, no 3G
SGP311,Android 4.1.2
10.1.c.0.370
I rooted it using method mentioned here
I installed "Uninstall Master" and "RootAppDelete" to get rid of some annoying system apps like Facebook, every time, does not matter which one I use, when it uninstalls an app, the machine would restart right after, sometimes even before the uninstallation finishes and I have to uninstall again with another restart followed.

anyone? I am really frustrated!

anyone? also, what is the best setcpu configuration for sony tablet z?

ics won't uninstall market apps

I have an issue uninstalling apps. Sensation stock ics rom, not rooted, apps installed from market, everything regular. When I go to uninstall an app, it takes forever, the phone uninstalls it for 5-10 minutes and, if it comes to end, it says uninstall not successful although the app is actually uninstalled. Sometimes it is not uninstalled and I have to repeat the uninstalling. I consider it a bit strange, I also have an xperia that uninstalls the app in seconds...ana ideas or similar experiences?
clear data of play store (settings ->apps ) ...add your account again then see

Apps are FCing more and more - known problem apps?

So I have an Acer Iconia A500 running 4.0.3 non-rooted.
Its got to the point where I'm at my wits end and need to take action. Over the last couple months I suspect it just hadn't been running right and has been getting progressively worse. Apps FC a lot more than ever. I've installed a lot over the months so doing process of elimination by uninstalling one at a time would be a pain.
This is why I'm wondering if there's any particular apps that are known to bog the system down. Here's a screenshot of what's running/URL]per Advanced Task Killer. I've killed tasks but they obviously start right back up and really its no use - nor is the built in task killer with Astro File Manager. Also I have no idea why some of those are running as I just rebooted my device before taking that screenshot. The only thing I've physically opened was the browser and Google Play music.
Also, is there any kind of app out there that can diagnose or sniff out the problem apps or a log that will tell me what's going haywire?
Any help is appreciated, really trying to avoid wiping the device.
Android has the autostart option for apps. The apps can use the onBoot service/ after boot completed to start, this explains the started apps after the reboot.
You can use the logcat to see why there are fc's of some apps.
Not every app is without errors and warnings, it could be a developer related problem. And btw android needs no task manager/ killer.

Anybody heard of root methods yet?

Last I heard autoprime managed to root the xt1028, but I haven't seen any news as of yet.
As far as I know, the only root method that works on 4.4.4 is kingoroot apk, which only grants temp root and may cause the launchers to close unexpectedly.
Anyone seen anything in the wild?
Edit-
Nova launcher and home launcher crashed
android.process.acore crashed
android.process.media crashed
Their version of superuser also crashes

Everything crashes with the apk. I installed a different launcher and fixed that problem, but Titanium Backup, all the google apps (Play Store, Hangouts, Gmail, etc.), and even the phone app crash, basically all I can do is power off.
I'm using the 1.3.8 version of the Windows software, and that works fine. I'd like to find a standalone way to temp root, then I'd be comfortable installing busybox, xposed, an app to soft reboot, etc. Bonus if it'd use supersu instead of some custom solution.
Of course, what I REALLY want is a permanent root.
Hrm, I wonder if there would be a way to do a soft root on bootup. You'd need to be able to cancel just in case it messed things up.

I mean, obviously it's possible somehow or another because autoprime did it
I can't figure it out myself though

How to optimize RAM usage for Xperia Z5 without root ?

Hello,
I just changed my phone, the xperia Z2 to Z5. I then reinstalled much of my app, and I must admit it already lag.
There is not an app that blocks the app auto start, and shut them truly when i closed? (without rooting the phone, I'd avoid gun down right away my warranty ^^)
Thank you !

There's functionality to disable selected apps,
disabling Autostart unfortunately isn't possible on the stock ROM
You could try out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rs.autorun&hl=en , https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.startupmanager
but in the most cases the phone needs to be rooted for these kind of tools to be efficient
Thanks for your quick response, do you know a method to root the phone without loosing the warranty ?
How the hell did you manage to make a 3GB RAM device lag?
Do you use any of those boosters, battery savers, AV's or any other crapware like this?
Yes, I use this kind of tools... Apus, Clean Master, app like that. Do you think they are bull**** ?
I don't know of it exist an app or a option to export all my ram consuming to show you.
There you go. They are all bull$hit. You do not need any of this crap. Uninstall them, give clean master and those other boosters 1 star rating and the device magically becomes faster.
Also be sure to uninstall that AVG as well that came with Z5 (mine did come with it) you honestly don't need that either.
Android can handle it's RAM itself.
Here's a quick and easy guide..
1. Navigate to Settings>Apps
2. Force Stop and disable ALL bloatware and unnecessary Apps..
(just keep in mind, when disabling an App, you MUST also disable the app.. Force stopping it alone won't stop it from restarting).
3. Navigate to Settings>Storage and Clear cache..
4. Reboot device and enjoy a more stable and lag free device, and better battery life.
Oh I almost forgot...
Don't install any of those bulls*** useless battery saving apps, or virus scanners etc.. They do absolutely nothing for your device except take up space, ram and cause the device to lag because of constantly running in the background.. I have trialed many of those apps on previous devices and they did nothing but waste space and ram and cause the device to heat up faster than normal. Since then I've had many android devices and never installed any of those crap apps and haven't had any problems with battery, malware, performance etc..

The Z5 has KSM Enabled by default meaning that it will clean up duplicate info aswell as fairly agressive OOM
You shouldent easily run out of ram but just to keep performance up keep away from the following apps, e.g disable or uninstall
Google search
Google maps
Google photos
Facebook
Any performance boosters or ram cleaners

Xperia Z 5 running super slow and unknown ads/virus

Previously owned z3 and Z, this new z5 is running so slow.
Even the most basic tasks ate taking forever and phone is so leggy.
I've also now got some ads coming up on the lock screen. I've managed to disable it on the options as it pops up but can not see what app is causing it.
Please can you advise on removing it and anything else causing this poor running.
I've tried various antivirus and ad removal apps with no joy

U can use adaway for scanning adware.
For best results, perform full factory reset and do not install such doubtful apps anymore to prevent further issues.
