I have an issue uninstalling apps. Sensation stock ics rom, not rooted, apps installed from market, everything regular. When I go to uninstall an app, it takes forever, the phone uninstalls it for 5-10 minutes and, if it comes to end, it says uninstall not successful although the app is actually uninstalled. Sometimes it is not uninstalled and I have to repeat the uninstalling. I consider it a bit strange, I also have an xperia that uninstalls the app in seconds...ana ideas or similar experiences?
clear data of play store (settings ->apps ) ...add your account again then see

I was removing and freezing the bloatware and started to get a fc when I would start the market. If it happens to you, what worked for me was going into settings/ applications/ manage applications.......... Clicked on market, and cleared the data. Worked fine after that. I did a search before I posted this and there was nothing about a fc of this nature.
Does this happen to anyone else? I find apps missing and not even in the applications setting. I go to market and it tells me "free" meaning it's not installed. Only later on the day to find out the app has suddenly reappeared! Wtf is going on?!
16GB, no 3G

I rooted it using method mentioned here
I installed "Uninstall Master" and "RootAppDelete" to get rid of some annoying system apps like Facebook, every time, does not matter which one I use, when it uninstalls an app, the machine would restart right after, sometimes even before the uninstallation finishes and I have to uninstall again with another restart followed.
anyone? I am really frustrated!
anyone? also, what is the best setcpu configuration for sony tablet z?
My phone is slow as hell and I need to hard reset. I remember before, all my apps auto-downloaded afterwards. The settings were gone, but that's fine. I have tried several times (restoring from nandroid backup) and each time, nothing seems to happen despite leaving the phone on overnight. I have searched other threads and found the following:
I need to have "back up my data" and "automatic restore" checked in Settings -> Privacy. Did that before hard reset.
Found this answer: "if you go to the Play app and tap the 3 icons top right there is a setting so auto update the apps." Auto update doesn't appear to work, all it does is update apps you already have installed. After hard reset I only have about 15 basic apps, none of my old ones.
Found this answer: "All your phone apps are collected together in your market library. Just go there ad push the apps once again to your phone (just half a minute job actually). Its a bit tricky because the install button for push is hidden." So where is the hidden button?
I don't want to use a third-party app like Titanium Backup. I'd prefer a clean re-install from Google, not apk. I think some of my apk files and settings were the problem in the first place.
I could just reinstall all of them manually, but I have a lot and Google Play mixes up the apps I had installed with all of the apps I uninstalled years ago. I can't tell the difference!
My phone is not rooted. Its only a week old so I'd like to avoid rooting for a while due to warranty.
I want to remove a few apps that came pre-installed on my phone like "Hangouts" but every time that I remove them, they reinstall automatically a while later.
How do I permanently uninstall the apps so that they remain uninstalled?

Click to collapse
Uninstall them, disable them, and turn off automatic updating for that app in the play store beforehand.
