[Q] Pacman ROM & USB issues - HTC Inspire 4G

Hey all. Due to low post count I am unable to post this query to development forum.
I'm trying this ROM but find the following issues:
With Android debugging enabled, I cannot mount phone storage to PC (unlike other ROMs I'm trying). I have to turn debugging off in order to mount phone
Also, I cannot sync to PC at all; my preferred app for this is MyPhoneExplorer, but with client installed on phone, phone is never detected as connected.
What am I overlooking?

For anyone with same issue, only way I found was via System Settings/Storage[MENU] USB Computer
Connection. Selecting MTP allows syncing. I like this ROM, but find it irksome having to go somewhat deep into system settings just to choose sync or storage.

Thank you. You have saved me the headache of having to deal with constant freezes again. :-\ (The reason I changed from KitKat back to JellyBean is the KitKat ROM kept freezing up my phone.)

USB connection problem, connection type screen does not appear

When i'm connecting my phone via usb, choose a connection type screen does not appear and i cant select the "disk drive" or "charge only" options. When i tap to change usb settings, it sends me to "portable hotspot & tethering"
Windows recognizes usb device
Phone is stock, some days ago updated to android 4.1
Try disabling usb debugging. On my Blade I have to do that if I want to mount it as usb storage.
My S and tablets doesnt need that though, but might be worth a shot.
Hmm interesting my phone turns usb debugging automaticaly on when i connect my device, tried hard reset, problem still remains
I see. I read about someone else having the same issue on JB. I guess its a bug or something.
I guess you either have to flash a custom rom or wait for an official update.
In the mean time, you could always use quick adb pusher. Much better than mounted usb storage (requires a working adb connection, which you should have if you have installed htc sync)

[SOLVED]TF700 Sync issues/computer reporting storage as full

I develop mobile applications using Adobe Flash/AIR for Mobile. Since the 4.2 update, I have been experiencing increasing difficulties synching my Infinity to any computer. When I launched Asus Sync, my Infinity would tend to disconnect after a few minutes. It would often disconnect while publishing directly to the device from the Flash IDE, wasting a lot of time.
The connection problems have gotten steadily worse. Today I have found that I am completely unable to publish applications from my work computer to my Infinity, either from Flash or from Asus Sync. Both report slightly differently worded errors saying that publishing/installation was unsuccessful and the device storage may be full. The tablet will never connect to Asus Sync on my computer unless I enable USB tethering, and even then will tend to drop the connection after a minute or two. However, that might be a problem with my workstation, as I can connect to Asus Sync (but still not install apps) from another computer at work. I can successfully publish AIR 3.5 apps from my coworker's computer but AIR 3.7 apps always give the error.
I have 10 gigabytes of internal storage left, so it's certainly not full. I can access the Infinity as an MTP device through Windows Explorer and I can transfer files onto it from there. I have USB debugging and installation of non-market apps enabled. I tried cold-booting the tablet but that didn't change anything.
Some help would be greatly appreciated. We are supposed to launch an app in the next few days and I suddenly can't test it from my computer.
OP solved issue. Was an Adobe Air issue.

[Q] [HELP] NEXUS 4 - Cracked Screen\Digitizer - Android KitKat? Access Files

Hi,
I realize that there might be an answer to this already, however I have been searching for a while and no such answer has presented itself. I have come across other threads on this forum that explain how to get in. However my concern is that these are really old posts and perhaps point to an older version of Android?!? The reason I didn't follow those tutorials is I am afraid of wiping off any data that might exist on the phone (which is not something I would like to do!!!)
So it is as follows:
LG NEXUS 4 - 02 NETWORK UK
NOT ROOTED
STOCK EVERYTHING
USB DEBUGGING DISABLED
CRACKED SCREEN\DIGITZER - NO TOUCH RESPONSES ACCEPTED
So my question is this, can I access the files on here including all music/photos/contacts/messages etc and back up to a WINDOWS PC. Please forgive me if my responses sound noobish to you, as I am not familiar with Android, so might ask some daft questions.
Thanks in Advance
Anybody? I fear for trying anything as I do not wish to loose pictures etc.
Stock Everything
Not Rooted
No USB Debugging Enabled
Can I enable usb debugging through adb?
you do not need usb debugging enabled to transfer data from device to pc, my question is, when you plug your device into your pc, does your computer recognize it as a mass storage device and can you see your phone in the list of devices with removable storage ?

Nexus 5 charges slowly, no more MTP/PTP/USB tethering post 6.0.1

Hi all, I noticed that in Marshmallow Google moved the options for MTP/PTP into developer options, which is kind of odd. One explanation I saw online is that it's because of adoptable storage making it not possible to access the SD card files over USB and and on the phone, which makes no sense because a) that's why we switched to MTP in the first place and b) Nexuses don't have SD card slots. But OK, fine, they moved the setting for some reason, probably just a mistake making it into the release build. But now after flashing stock 6.0.1 and rooting via SuperSU, USB connectivity to a PC does not work at all, no adb, no MTP, nothing. Tested on two different laptops, Linux and Windows. Even charging is slower (it literally says "charging slowly" on the lock screen) and I can't access files or use USB tethering. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know of a fix?
Posting here because while I no longer use ROMs, I feel like people here tend to know about random issues like this more.
Thanks!

Disconnecting during PC USB file transfer

I am trying to move my music files over to my SD card. However, shortly after I begin the transfer, my 6X disconnects from my PC. I have USB debugging mode enabled. No matter how small or large the file transfer, this always seems to happen after a minute or two. I have tried multiple USB ports on my computer and nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to resolve it?
Thx
Seems banal, but... Have you tried another USB cable? How do you transfer files, while on MTP mode right?
I've tried multiple cables all with the same results, including the cable that came with the phone. BTW my phone is not rooted or anything. I do use MTP mode as I select "Allow Access" instead of "Charge Only" on my phone when it is first connected to the PC. The connection seems fine when browsing the phone's storage using Windows Explorer, even when copying files to my PC. This problem only seems to happen when transferring files to the phone. The transfer will proceed normally for a short time and then the phone disconnects and disappears from Explorer, and has to be reconnected before I can see it again.
Ok. The transfers are interrupted while the screen is off, or also when it's on?
I have tried with "Stay Awake" both enabled and disabled and unfortunately the problem is still happening. I think maybe just using an SD reader would be easier lol
That's really weird. Are you on stock or on custom rom? Because if you're on custom, or at least you have unlocked your bootloader and flashed TWRP, you could try to check if the issue persists when you transfer files to the phone using MTP through custom recovery also.
Unfortunately I'm using the stock rom
