Generic tablet rooting - General Questions and Answers

Hi, does anybody know of a way to root this device?
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=400531479295
I haven't got it (them) yet, they will be Christmas presents for my kids and I want to be able to root them and install some 'parental control' apps on them......
Sent from either my S2 or my W via XDA developers app

Update.......
Well I don't know about the tablet in the link......but I just purchased it's bigger brother....the A20....
And it arrived pre rooted (checked with root checker) all I had to do was put a superuser app on it and I have full root access........
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM

Does SuperOneClick actually work?

I have rooting experience when it comes to rooting methods that are specially designed for a model like Desire Z or S II (Both which I have rooted successfully).
However, my sister has a Samsung Galaxy Q, and seeing that it does not have any dev support at all, I wanted to root it, but there are no special roots just for it, so I think I am forced to use a generic one.
I have read that SuperOneClick might work, but I don't konw if it will work with the galaxy Q.
Any ideas?
well superoneclick does work, it rooted my LG vortex and the OG droid. only way to know if it works on your phone is to try it.
hell yea it works! ive rooted like 5 phones with it!
Rooted my MyTouch 3G perfectly with Super One Click

Rooting help - TP10CD Generic Tablet

Hello,
I recently purchased this tablet.
Buy.com Sku: 230139362
Its model in the system is a DFP7005.
I attempted to use several softwares that require root access, i tried to use r4root and it said that it was rooted but i still do not have root access.
Is there any other generic root apps i can try or does anyone know how to root this device?
Thank you!

Tokio 2.0

Hey guys.
A friend of mine won a Sega Tokio 2.0 tablet which is running ICS 4.0.4
Just wondering is it possible to root this device? Like a general root program maybe for ICS?
Also if it could be done then what kind of roms would I install? Again is there general tabet roms?
I know a fair bit about the basics but only ever used an galaxy S2 and S3 so there's always been plenty of specific info for these devices. Where as this tokio seems rare to get info.
Thanks

Tokio Smartphone
Similar problem , Tokio Smartphone won from Sega-prize , incompatible with Three network , wondering if there was a way of flashing rom to make it compatible with three
+1 for Tokia Smartphone.
It's actually a nice phone but I would like root.
Used driver from superoneclick and win 8 seemed to accept it.
Tried rooting it using SOC and Root by restore by binary but neither worked

[Q] is there any one-tap rooting app??

Hey, i want to ask about one-tap root app.
i remembered that in 2010 there is oclf that had built-in rooting and unroot app,
and in 2012 there is exynos abuse
since i can't use them anymore to root, i want to ask : is there any app like them 2 ?
i mean that the app can be installed to handheld .apk so i need no computer , cause i don't know to use odin, cwm etc.
my hh is galaxy s2 in stock firmware , 4.1.1 jelly bean locked on bell canada
thanks

[Completed] How do I unroot my tablet, as well as replace the custom with stock?

Okay, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Wifi. I ROOTED it using Kingroot. I did unroot using the kingroot, yet even though RootChecker says it is not rooted, in my settings about phone, it still says custom, and I cant update firmware. So I re rooted it with Kingroot. How do I unroot this, and get the custom to the stock? And, furthermore, can I do this without a PC?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I see you've registered and posted this question in the best place to get help, http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/help/how-unroot-tablet-replace-custom-stock-t3186358. Good Job!
