Does SuperOneClick actually work? - General Questions and Answers

I have rooting experience when it comes to rooting methods that are specially designed for a model like Desire Z or S II (Both which I have rooted successfully).
However, my sister has a Samsung Galaxy Q, and seeing that it does not have any dev support at all, I wanted to root it, but there are no special roots just for it, so I think I am forced to use a generic one.
I have read that SuperOneClick might work, but I don't konw if it will work with the galaxy Q.
Any ideas?

well superoneclick does work, it rooted my LG vortex and the OG droid. only way to know if it works on your phone is to try it.

hell yea it works! ive rooted like 5 phones with it!

Rooted my MyTouch 3G perfectly with Super One Click

[Q] Root Evo Shift Like Evo

I am wondering if you can root the shift like the evo. I recently rooted my evo to the cm7 v2. My wife has the shift and wants her phone to be like mine. I don't want to brick her phone without knowing if the mod will work with her phone.
can u root the evo shift running gingerbread
Hi I have a HTC EVO shift 4G running 2.3.3 I did not perform the OTA update. I have tried gingerbreak and it did not work. I'm through sprint. I used to be through at&t and used to have 3 sgs captivated all 3 rooted and running phoenix unleashed. I rooted em using GST tweaker. I tell u this cause I'm no noob when it comes to rooting, unlocking, jailbreaking idevices etc. I've been doing this for 3 years. However I have no way to get to a pc. Is there a apk I can get from 4shared to root my shift running gingerbread other than gingerbreak. I tried gingerbreak like 5 times I followed the posts and still nothing. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks. Oh and on another note is their anyway of running sega cd games or emulators on Android? I ask because sega will not be porting sonic 4 episode 1 to Android so I've read any help on any of these again please let me know

[Q] CWM for Lg Viper?

I currently have an LG Viper Running on Official LG 4.0.4 ICS package and i'm rooted. I'm looking at ROM Manager right now and there seems to be no CWM Recovery for my phone. This spurs two questions in my mind:
1. Is it safe to flash a CWM built for a different phone but same make?
-The options i'm given made by LG are: LG Connect 4g MS840, LG Lucid VS840, LGE Esteem 4g, LGE Optimus M+, LGE Revolution 4g, LGE Spectrum 4g
2. If not, is there a workable CWM for the phone? If there isn't, can I expect one anytime soon?
Simple answer is no unless someone decides to port it.

I know this is an old thread but flashing any sister device recovery will bootloop the viper. We do finally have custom recovery abs basic roms if you downgrade back to gingerbread...but as of now ics dev is on halt, major locked boot loader. I already had my viper replaced six times and had terrible customer service experiences , so I found a number for a sprint corporate executive, mailed me a Samsung galaxy nexus 4g lte the next day. I'm pleased, although it's a year old phone, none of these issues, bigger screen, much better resolution, 32 gig internal sd, :/ 4.1.2 vanilla, and more mods roms and kernels then I can try :/. A lot of us purchased this viper based on specs, which seem great, unfortunately the phone isn't...

Tokio 2.0

Hey guys.
A friend of mine won a Sega Tokio 2.0 tablet which is running ICS 4.0.4
Just wondering is it possible to root this device? Like a general root program maybe for ICS?
Also if it could be done then what kind of roms would I install? Again is there general tabet roms?
I know a fair bit about the basics but only ever used an galaxy S2 and S3 so there's always been plenty of specific info for these devices. Where as this tokio seems rare to get info.
Thanks

Tokio Smartphone
Similar problem , Tokio Smartphone won from Sega-prize , incompatible with Three network , wondering if there was a way of flashing rom to make it compatible with three
+1 for Tokia Smartphone.
It's actually a nice phone but I would like root.
Used driver from superoneclick and win 8 seemed to accept it.
Tried rooting it using SOC and Root by restore by binary but neither worked

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Note II - SGH-I317M

Hey all, Im new here and have my first Android Phone
I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II SGH-I317M from Bell but had it unlocked and am using Koodo now!
I rooted the phone last nite using Odin 307.zip & CF-Auto-Root-xxxxx-etc.zip
All went well
Question are there any better mods I can use on this phone, can any one suggest some good ones along with instructions on changing the ROM and restoring my setting, and apps afterwords?
A friend of mine is using a ROM that makes the phone act like a tablet, I would like the same for my phone if available, I think it is called Paranoid android
I found a ROM I want to use Called Jedi-X 6.1.2, but cannot figure out how to apply this to my phone, can anyone please give me detailed instructions,
Thanks
Post Jedi install process

Root the device with custom rom before you can do anything on that... There is lot of risky process involved with that...
