Question for the users who have this phone with model number: PM23320 / C625e.
This device is produced in Taiwan as far as I know.
What languages are available in your devices? Only languages from Asia? Or from Europe as well?
I'm thinking of buying this phone, and I want the LTE version, but I live in Europe, and the version sold here, has no LTE.
So I have to buy C625e, but if it doesn't have my language Portuguese (Portugal), I'll have to pass :S
Thanks
I have the version C625e:

Your in a bit of a bind then since you have the international version! Your phone might not have the right frequency support to get T-mobile 3g/4g until they complete their move of 3g to the 1900 band.
This is an excerpt from Anandtech Review
The International and T-Mobile One S differ in what UMTS bands are supported, as the International One S targets both Asia and Europe, while the T-Mobile version goes for the Americas. I’ve made a table with the pertinent information.
HTC One S - Network Support
GSM/EDGE Support 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
WCDMA Support
One S - International 850 / 900 / 2100 MHz

You really need that 1700/1900 band for AWS 3g. However, t-mobile is currently moving 3g to the 1900 spectrum which should enable you to get 3g when it's done in your area.
Here is a map of current reported 1900 3g coverage. http://www.airportal.de/
Sorry to give you the bad news.
Hey guys!
Just wondering what Moto G versions will be available, specifically what antennas will each version have?

It looks like US GSM Model (sold on Motorola US site) WILL work with Wind Mobile in Canada!
While AWS transmits on ~1710-1755 MHz and receives on ~2110-2155 MHz, this band is known as 1700 or Band IV or AWS.
2100 refers to Band I (2100 IMT), a totally different band which is used in Asia and Europe, but not in North America.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands
The US version supports AWS because that is what T-Mobile uses in the US, and it's the same band that Wind uses.

Wow, the UK version actually supports more band, it should be the global version. There are many countries provide Uim card (CDMA sim card) on their CDMA2000 network.
The Brazilian Dual Chip Version has the same Bands of the UK version.

Hi

Motorola Brasil and the store they point you to (http://www.lojaoficialmotorola.com.br/product/celulares/116699802/moto-getrade%3B-dual)
doesn't list AWS 1700 band. Unlike the UK version.

Hello everyone, first post here!
I ordered a moto G from the us store since I have a connection in Washington state to ship it to. On their site they list 1700(aws) but not the 2100 needed for downloading.
I phoned motorola this morning and informed them of my uncertainty. The level 2 technician replied that the american phone will fully support 1700/2100 used by aws. I also informed the technician of my carrier, so it looks like the american gsm model will work with wind.
cheers :good:

Model: XT1032
Baseband: MSM8626BP_1032.3051.51.00R
I would love to know how to enable 1700/2100 bands on it!!!
Do we know if there are hardware differences? I would like to see if we can get a thread going for enabling AWS support on international GSM version. There is an extensive knowledge-base here on XDA when it comes to tinkering with the Galaxy S2 and S3 modems and NV parameters to enable Wind/TMO AWS. I remember at one point there was discussion of whether AWS was even possible on the S3 i747.
Any input would be appreciated!!

Hi matlabwtf! Welcome to XDA
Thanks for sharing your findings.
From what I've researched so far, 1700 MHz AWS band operates on 1700 up and 2100 down.
There's another AWS band as well, 2100MHz AWS band, it operates on 1900 up and 2100 down. It is used overseas, Asia, Europe, etc.
The carriers (cellphone companies and their employees) confuse people when they tell you need 1700/2100 band phone.
In reality you only need to make sure that the phone has 1700 AWS band, that's all.
Please let us know when your receive your handset, thanks.

Hi Guys ,
I have the Chinese variant of the OnePlus. I am able to use H+(3g) fine in my country. However i am thinking to switch over to 4G . But i am unsure if it supports the 4g frequency here .
However i just confirmed from my network provider that they are offering 4g on 1800Mhz frequency. Does the Chinese version ( with Cm11s ) supports this ?
Jip the Chinese variant supports 4G / LTE band 3 / 1800MHz :good:
"Network standard:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
TD-SCDMA: 1880-1920 / 2010-2025
WCDMA *: 2100/1900/850/900
TD-LTE: 2570-2620 / 1880-1920 / 2300-2400
FDD-LTE *: 2100/1800/2600
* WCDMA and FDD-LTE standard two networks need to use international roaming"
Taken from translated Chinese site here
PS: I have a Chinese Variant running CM11s using LTE (1800MHz) in South-Africa right now.

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting myselft a moto g 2015 turbo edition xt1557.
I am ready to give up on band 20 (seems to be impossible to unlock it on snapdragon devices) and living with 3g where 4g is only delivered on band 20.
While I was roaming the internet I landed upon an italian page that gives all information about chinese handsets.
Among those informations there is a worrying one:
european 3g bands are 900 Mhz and 2100 Mhz. Same as China, but they can't be used as EU uses UMTS-FDD, while China uses UMTS-TDD.
I think I understood that merlin was for the Indian market. Since I can't find this information anywhere else, could someone tell me which 3g merlin uses?
Thank you very much indeed for your help in advance.
Have a nice one.

Keep in mind that country and service provider play a significant role as well, just because a band is available in the EU doesn't mean that your provider has access to it. There was also a thread discussing unlocking freq bands, but it hasn't been too active lately, so I wouldn't put a lot of faith in that option.......
as for the bands,
xt 1557 uses :
2G : GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G : HSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100 -
4G : LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 28(700), 40(2300) - XT1557
(* source - gsm arena.)
Hope that helps.
Thank you
I read different statements about global LTE on Mi Mix 2S.
I don't trust any preorder page to answer my questions.
Does anyone know which models will have global LTE support?
in a german article it was stated that only the "king variant" with 256GB will have the global LTE modem. The article also states that this will only be a downside for the 128GB and 64GB Version if you live outside of Europe.

See reply below. This is correct that 256MB model supports more frequencies, altho, 64/128GB models support all widely used in EU frequencies as well, but still you need to check your country/operator frequencies and compare to the list below (use https://www.frequencycheck.com/ for example to find out frequencies used by your operator/operators in your country).

I believe all models are the same - they support all of the frequencies. The difference between 256GB/8GB and 64GB/6GB is just that - internal storage capacity and RAM.

Actually that article is correct - if you check the specs on the official website, under "全球频段", it shows that only the "尊享版" (i.e. the 8GB/256GB version) gets the full global band support. All other "normal" editions (标准版) gets less supported bands, although it contains a few more bands compared to other Xiaomi phones.
Here is the list of bands supported in each edition, for your convenience:
Supreme Edition:
GSM: B2 / B3 / B5 / B8
CDMA1X/EVDO: BC0 / BC1 / BC6 / BC10
WCDMA: B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B6 / B8 / B9 / B19
TD-SCDMA: B34 / B39
TD-LTE: B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
FDD-LTE: B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B13 / B17 / B18 / B19 / B20 / B25 / B26 / B27 /B 28 / B29 / B30
Standard Edition:
GSM: B2 / B3 / B5 / B8
CDMA1X/EVDO: BC0
WCDMA: B1 / B2 / B4 / B5 / B8
TD-SCDMA: B34 / B39
TD-LTE: B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41
FDD-LTE: B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B17 / B20
B41 supports 2496-2690 MHz full-bandwidth

It says chinese LTE on the xiaomi website, however it seems like Europe would work just as well, or am I wrong?
as far as i understood, you need the king variant for USA
Standard edition should work fine in US on T-Mobile, AT&T and their MVNOs. Not sure about Verizon and Sprint.
Different info from you guys. Doesmypohonework.net
doesn't have this phone listed yet. I guess I'll ask the potential seller
All you need to do is know if your carrier supports bringing your own device and compare the bands.

Mexican here, regular model should be compatible with Telcel

On the gearbest preorder page for the "globabl 6gb/64gb" version, they state that it will support all the bands that the 8gb model supports. They back it up again in the customer questions section.
Do we know if the global version of the phone is going to support more bands than the chinese version, or are gearbest just misinformed?

I just checked the specs on the Xiaomi Hong Kong website (as units sold in HK will come with the global rom), and found that all global version units will support the extended bands, regardless of size. Another interesting thing I noticed is that they don't show the 8GB/256GB version at all, which may mean it is exclusive to Mainland China.
