What is xposed installer?
It is a framework!
It allows you to install little apps by which you can mod your XL.
Read Advantages for more info.
Only you will be responsible if anything happens to your phone!
Advantages:
No need to modify any APKs. This means:
No need to decompile, change things in smali, compile, sign, ...It will work for odexed and deodexed ROMs.Your mod is not bound to a specific version of the ROM. Unless there is a major change in the methods called for a certain functionality, your mod will continue to work even when you upgrade your ROM. Hell, it will probably even work with different ROMs.Multiple mods can be installed at the same time, even if they change the same package. So you can use these battery icons and those quick toggles. Even hooking the same method twice is possible. Of course, this only works properly if the mods are not trying to do incompatible things.
It does its magic at runtime. That means you can implement options to let the user decide if they prefer the bikeshed to be painted in red or blue. Or you can have some extra logic for certain ROMs without building different mod versions.
It can be disabled easily without having to reflash.
It's open source.
Download:
You can download the installer from the attachment or from thread mentioned above
How to install:
First step for everything you do: Create a nandroid backup and make sure you know how to restore it!
There is also the risk to soft-brick your device. In such a case, restoring a backup is the easiest way to get rid of it
Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
Reboot
Done!
In case you get into a boot loop:
You can flash the attached Xposed-Disabler-CWM.zip by Tungstwenty. It will be copied to your (external) SD card when you install Xposed as well. The only thing it does is copying /system/bin/app_process.orig back to /system/bin/app_process, which you can also do yourself (e.g. with adb shell in recovery mode).
You could also create a file /data/xposed/disabled, which causes Xposed to be bypassed as well.
Modules:
You can find modules collection here-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541
Click to collapse
Installation process-
Download .apk and install it
Launch the Xposed Installer and go to the "Modules" tab (you will also get there if you click on the notification warning you that the module is not enabled yet)
Enable the module by checking the check-box
Reboot
Done!
Please let me know which Modules are working perfectly on XL and I will add in my post

[Xposed][07NOV2013] XButton Actions - change what your phone buttons do

Hello again. It's been a long while.
I just want to share this xposed module I made from code fragments I borrowed from @C3C076 open source Gravitybox code. Gravitybox is great but not all functions work on my Note so I just extracted the pieces I need and added some more options I to suit my needs.
XButton Actions and XVolume SkipTrack
Requires the Xposed Framework by @rovo89 of course.
1. Download the modules below and install.
2. Open up Xposed Installer app and activate the modue in the Module tab then reboot.
3. After reboot, open up the XButton Actions app and choose your settings. No need to reboot everytime you change your settings.
4. Enjoy.

Thank you for your module! Do you have a donation link?
Also, I tried both modules with the latest cyanogenmod 10.2 nightly for my d2mtr galaxy s3. The module installs and activates fine in xposed, but the app will crash when I set a long press action - "Unfortunately, XButtonActions has stopped"
Running Xposed 2.3.1 with no other modules activated other than XButtonActions and Volume SkipTrack
Thank you Sir,
It's great to see u in Note thread with Amazing Mode..:good:
just what I need, unfortunately, it did not change my buttons on Note3 ,N9005
Is there some data I can give you that would enable you to make it work on N9005 ?
Thank you.
tried it on sweetrom and chippywiz and it didn't work :/
Tried it on xxlt4 240dpi v2.3 and I didn't work on my phone either.

I am not sure what is wrong but I am using LTA and it seems working for me. My friend use it in his Note 8 odexed rom and it is also working so I am a bit puzzled why others can't get it to work. I will reflash my ROM and see if it works with a fresh flash. If others can't get it to work, I might as well share the ROM I am using.

Just updated the OP with new versions of XButton Actions and XVolume SkipTrack. I hope this time users will be able to make the modules work. Please leave feedback for those who are able to make it work and those who don't and please state your device, rom and android version as it would help me fix bugs and may be able to support more devices/roms.
DOWNLOAD is in first post.

Any chance you could make this happen?

I put it in a UFT zip and edited file names to be compatible with more than just one single TW rom for a single device. Now thanks to my help with his original work, it is compatible with AOSP, TW and GE roms for any device. not to mention VRthemes (like the other guy posted) are only good for CWM or TWRP. there are separate VRtheme templates for each. eww. my UFT is compatible with both cwm and twrp, and all 3 rom types on any xxhdpi device.

Eww flash the undo zip on your sdcard
Dear friends,
First thanks to TRusselo for its nice work.
I see some people have problems with this theme. I think that coming from the fact that the MOD is a VR themes, and some mods are not possible with this kind of project. The advantage of it is that they are universal, but they can only patch resources like icons/pictures and sometime its not enough.
If you study the original MOD, you will see that the author also work on layout XML files (signal_cluster_view) which are compiled for a particular ROM so they cannot be used in a VR mod. You won't be able to have the "stacked" signal icons that way from original SystemUI.
The problem of the battery is the same : some systemUi have been changed by ROM makers to extend the original behaviour (animated charge battery ...). We can see in the icons directory that the icons are patched in the drawable-xhdpi resource directory while most of the SystemUi use drawable-xxhdpi directory and tw_stat_sys_battery_xxxx file names.
For all those reasons I'm afraid that the only way to achieve the original MOD with all its feature is to rebuild the original files and to replace them on ROMS. I've done it for me, I will try to share a version for latest TW roms.

its not a VRtheme zip, its a Universal Flasher Theme zip. 2 different but similar methods. and with both, it doesnt work with ANY rom but, also can..
there are some TW roms that this does work on, others not, works better with AOSP and GE roms, but there's one or 2 they dont. Subtle differences break functionality. Some custom TW roms have the stacked icons incorporated already, and allows this to work. other roms have no send/receive icons at all, and yes some xposed modules take over icons.

and those toggles doesn't stay orange even in kitkat the become white after some time

Thanks for reply, but i've found out how to do it without gel.
Just get tinted status bar for xposed, find the launcher app and set opacity to 66000000 - i think it's a bit easier method and you can stay on your current launcher(nova, apex or trebuchet) - you can include this in the tutorial if you want.
Awesome work
I was just thinking thinking today, how to get the UI in cm10 and here you are. Is there any gps bug? If no, its on my phone before you say kitkat
P.S. Google has expired all the xposed links with the message:
"We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service."

It doesn't change nothing with gps, so it should be working like it was before
You can get xposed from here - http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk
Then you can get gravitybox from xposed.

Hey, thanks! I've wanted that in JB for ages!
Thanks!
Now if we can just make the flip settings module work, it works on 4.3 Roms. Dunno why it won't work on 4.1

Hey Friends!
Firstly this should work on almost every CM based rom and even on stock
Just saw that CM11 is being developed for our devices
So I found some stuff that can make your device look exactly like CM11
View attachment 2643710
View attachment 2643711
View attachment 2643712
Requirements:-
Root
What To Do;-(Steps 1 & 2 only for CM or CM based roms)(Second link in step 8 works on CM10 not sure about any other rom)
Download This
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steel89ita.android44
2.After It Is Installed Select The Theme In Settings
3.Download And Install Xposed Framework From Here
4.After Installing The apk Open Xposed Installer Tap On Framework Hit Install and Reboot
5.Tinted Status Bar here
6.As Soon As The Installation Is Complete You Will Get A Notification From Xposed That Module Is Not Installed Tap On That And Tick Tinted Status Bar in The Box
7.Reboot Open Tinted Status Bar and in settings scroll down to default tints and in that tap on "Default status bar tint" and in the bar type "66000000"
8.Download Both Of These And Install Using Recovery:-
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2H-_w4uVuawRE4zc3N1VDdnY0U/edit?usp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2H-_w4uVuawRzVBMGhhRFpjVzQ/edit?usp=sharing (for this link click on file and download)
9.After Reboot Update Google Search If You Haven't
10.And Select Google Launcher As Default
And Viola! There You Have It
Found tinted status bar was looking better then gravity box
Sorry for any inconvenience
Thanks to @Saleen28 for the tinted status bar tip @miaad for the system ui @Bexton for the launcher

But when pulling down notifications, it lags a lot...I dunno why. :/
Also, when rearranging the tiles in quick settings, the power widget app force closes. (Unfortunately, Power Widget has stopped).
Should I re-flash the zip file again?

Tranceparent status bar on lockscreen
All xposed modules make the status bar tranceparent but on lockscreen still black
So i modified a jar file to make it that awesome
If you notice the carrier provider name is shown now
How to :-
1- the rom must be deodexed
2-The status bar should be tranceparent before with xposed module like tweakbox
3-copy the attatched jar file to /system/framework/ and overwrite
4-reboot and wait about 5m

I just flashed to the latest CM10 on my xperia E and it had a boring look, I wanted something else. And I found this to theme the CM10 but it only work as a HDPi resolution, so I went searching for a solution. With some goodluck I found a MOD for that to let the theme work, without any errors. The first time you may get 'system.ui has stopped working' , just reboot and everything will be fine. Than I went searching for a mod of the statusbar, because I wanted it just like the Kitkat 4.4 styl with toggles just to make it different haha! And I had some luck with it, so I did find one. I will explain below how you can let it work if you like it! Just remember what you download here, is not MINE!!!! so give the credits to the owners, I wıll post the official threads also, so you can visit them.:good: I thanx this developers and modders they let my xperia e live again!:victory:
1. first of all you need a rooted phone with recovery-mode, so that you can flash the zip files.
2. Now you can download the miui theme here below, its just a .apk file so not a problem to instal. And put it on your SD-card.
MIUI THEME :
http://goo.im/devs/mikegapinski/themes/MIUIv4_CM10_HDPI_by_ZduneX25.zip
- Than instal the apk, dont try to set the theme because you will just get a error.
3.Now download the MOD for resolution to upgrade to HDPI, you will need to flash this from recovery.
MOD from MDPI to HDPI :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2119194&d=1373933638
- Reboot and Now you can set the theme from 'Settings', 'Interface', 'Themes' and choose the theme.
When that is done and you also want the kitkat statusbar, just follow below and it will be all good :good:
Download the flasheble zip to your sd card and flash it in recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2432998&d=1386178560
After you flashed it, just REBOOT and ENJOY your awesome looking xperia e.
------------------------------------------------------------
btw sorry for my bad english, I hope you all could understand :silly:
------- Im new on this forum, and new to flashing roms and zip files. So I hope I did a good job and put the thread in the right section!
if not sorry again :cyclops:

Theme will not work on stock. Stock doesn't have Settings > Interface > Themes menu. Since you can't go in the menu, you can't apply the theme.
As instructed, I first installed the apk. Then I flashed the MOD from recovery. But when i try to choose the theme , I am getting this error :

I had the same problem the first time so ı reflash the rom again on the phone. I delete everything cache, data ect.ect. and did a factory wipe.
than flash th erom again after that flashed the gapps en reboot the phone to the homescreen. than go back in recovery en flash the statusbar before you flash something else. than it did work me just fine, but maybe it can be different on your phone. try to flash it again in the same way i did it, maybe i hope it helps
Okk so I have tried every possible combination to try the 4.4 style notification bar, but always the systemUi crashes. Anyway, so i left the hope of it and have only installed the MIUI theme over cm10, and its quite good UI. Its only flaw is if i try to connect to PC using mass storage and allow it, the systemUI crashes again
Apart from these, the UI looks great :good:
