I just flashed to the latest CM10 on my xperia E and it had a boring look, I wanted something else. And I found this to theme the CM10 but it only work as a HDPi resolution, so I went searching for a solution. With some goodluck I found a MOD for that to let the theme work, without any errors. The first time you may get 'system.ui has stopped working' , just reboot and everything will be fine. Than I went searching for a mod of the statusbar, because I wanted it just like the Kitkat 4.4 styl with toggles just to make it different haha! And I had some luck with it, so I did find one. I will explain below how you can let it work if you like it! Just remember what you download here, is not MINE!!!! so give the credits to the owners, I wıll post the official threads also, so you can visit them.:good: I thanx this developers and modders they let my xperia e live again!:victory:
1. first of all you need a rooted phone with recovery-mode, so that you can flash the zip files.
2. Now you can download the miui theme here below, its just a .apk file so not a problem to instal. And put it on your SD-card.
MIUI THEME :

- Than instal the apk, dont try to set the theme because you will just get a error.
3.Now download the MOD for resolution to upgrade to HDPI, you will need to flash this from recovery.

- Reboot and Now you can set the theme from 'Settings', 'Interface', 'Themes' and choose the theme.
When that is done and you also want the kitkat statusbar, just follow below and it will be all good :good:
Download the flasheble zip to your sd card and flash it in recovery.

You could try, but I dont think that the stock rom will let the theme work on full functionally.

Theme will not work on stock. Stock doesn't have Settings > Interface > Themes menu. Since you can't go in the menu, you can't apply the theme.
As instructed, I first installed the apk. Then I flashed the MOD from recovery. But when i try to choose the theme , I am getting this error :

You are right its does not have those settings but, he can always download HK Theme Manager thats works with Xposed. Or am I wrong ?

Try to erase the theme, reboot and install it again after you flash it with the mod.

Its not a bad app, I was using it before I mod my phone with the HDPI mod. For me is good app, I never had problem with it
how to uninstall the theme?? will uninstalling the apk will do ? so this time i flash the mod first and then re-install the apk? I am using cm10 now ...

Yesi just unistall the apk and reboot. After instal it again and try to apply the theme.

Thanks @NeoTrix ... it solved the theme prob... @xperia_bird.. now after i flashed the 4.4 status bar n rebooted, the notification has disappeared and systemUI is stopping several times. I am also unable to open Settings as it is also crashing.

I had the same problem the first time so ı reflash the rom again on the phone. I delete everything cache, data ect.ect. and did a factory wipe.
than flash th erom again after that flashed the gapps en reboot the phone to the homescreen. than go back in recovery en flash the statusbar before you flash something else. than it did work me just fine, but maybe it can be different on your phone. try to flash it again in the same way i did it, maybe i hope it helps
Okk so I have tried every possible combination to try the 4.4 style notification bar, but always the systemUi crashes. Anyway, so i left the hope of it and have only installed the MIUI theme over cm10, and its quite good UI. Its only flaw is if i try to connect to PC using mass storage and allow it, the systemUI crashes again

Yeah thats strange, I dont have any problem with it. Both works great on my XE 1505!
To bad I can not help more for solving the problem I do not know what to do about it. Maybe some changes ın the system ui.apk?
You can ask some one that can help you with that problem someone who knows things hehe

I can help you with settings .apk,and you dont need to decompile to modify the icons,just download 7zip,when you installed it,right click on the .apk and extract it you will see the folders with the icons,then replace what you want,when you are done,just right click again in the .apk and just select open,navigate to the folder and just copy the images you replaced,close all and thats all.
its simple as that.

Anyways I want to change some xmls so do u know how to Cmpile/decompile?

I use apktool to decompile SE apps, just drag the APK over apktool-d, did u try that?
just figured out that i had to install framework-res.apk and semcgenericuxpres.apk by the command
apktool if "name".apk
then i could decompile

I just installed v8 on locked bootloader and its working fine.
reboot into xrecovery and try fixing permissions in advanced options.
btw did u use CWM? or xrecovery?
sorry I dont hv a unlocked bootloader device to test it .

nevere again respond yes to that cwm question. It s a known cwm bug.you need to answer NO
also if you are asked to disa le cwm flash still respond NO
use Philz recovery.
But most probably now you will need to relafh your whole rom.

which icon does not change battery ?? if yes your Rom must be having battery sets Pre-installed

Bro I m not sure what is causing this may be u already had a theme etc and its not overwriting properly
if u haven't tried fresh install try that once
and then try installing my theme , also battery may not work rest all should work fine
I don't have another theme, just the rom without modifications, i install like say in your post and nothing change

U may flash the rom u using without wipe ...just incase if that does not work means u have to install rom with complete reset

How did u flash it did u full reset and flashed ??? if not try that once should not be a problem
Incase that does not work extract the theme folder remove systemUI.apk from system/priv-app re zip and flash it this option should work I suggest fresh flash only as many xml edits are there in the theme :good:

1 problem.
flashing on X-Note 9 and lost te notification bar ...
found some system UI fix file so i got it back now but the bar is black again.
in the dialer on log i see numbers but the text of the contacts name is still white on the white background...
boot menu and the menu i get on the nova launcher is still black.

Its still @ beta stage and many parts aren't getting themed like contacts primary colors etc using xml also
and nova launcher is not themed u have to use tw launcher where the font colors are changed
incase I m referring to some other part give a screen and will check the same

I can make a white background but it will create issue mainly in dialer where what u type wont be visible trying a way out some alternatively hopefully it will work wait for other update

Its not as simple as it looks if I m not wrong u want white background in settings menu right ???
if that's whats u want its not ideal to do for now as that's effects the other part and u may not be able to see certain things as many fonts are still on white color

1st of all thank you SKYDRAGON for a wonderful rom.....love it
This theme is compatible with latest 4.2.5 rom, you will have to reflash lyapota mod again after this theme.....
Did not like Stock notification background colors and few other colors specially or Dialer....
I changed few colors here and there and updated GoogleDialer, Contacts, Calculator and Systemui at the moment.
Next target is Settings....just wait and watch // don't worry i am gonna keep it simple

I have moded SkyDragon files but it should work with other GPE 5.0.1 Roms also
I have used Layapota files as base, so flashing this theme will change your status bar clock position to center and change the soft keys size to small.......... this is what i like, but if you want to change anything, flash Layapota file over this theme to change soft keys size or clock position //

thanks for the update i have updated the zips again so it does not wipe dalvik and waste so much time
i will look for another way to flash the themes so other mods stay intact

which GPE are you using ? i have noticed memory leak on every GPE i used,
sometimes the screen turns to landscape when i unlock the phone and it stays there for few seconds ...
i have also noticed few others posted the same thing
and idea or fix about this ? that will drag me back to GPE

it seems there is some app which is causing this issue,

sorry no offense but i don't like too many modifications which some do with their themes.....
android lollipop's stock theme is already minimal and classy looking
we don't need too many modifications
and i think it looks way better than sense now
so my aim is to keep it classy with few modifications with colors so it looks nice on my phone
some dark combinations gives more contrast and keeps the classy look

Feedback is so welcomed and important .
How to install ?
1)Download the Rom Zip from the link in the third post.
2)place it on your device's sdcard,and reboot into CWM recovery.
3)Choose factory reset, then wipe Cache partitions and wipe dalvik cache.
4)Choose install from sdcard,locate the Zip file and select it.
5)wait until it finishes,then select" reboot system now"from the main menu.
6)The first boot will take up to 5 minutes, be patient.
7)Don't forget to activate the modules to get the full enhanced look.
Notes :
1)To get camera pictures with 8mb size, open camera app,then get to photo settings, set the preview size to (4:3),at last set the pictures size to 8mb.
2)Camera Issue:Free up to 300 Mb of internal storage.
3)Use GEM Xperia xposed Module to change the Icons Size,also use transparent system bars option in Launcher settings/Drawer in the same module to remove the background tint in drawer after changing icon size.

And for album issue, yes I know about this problem but i forgot to mention it in the description.....
To solve this, all what you have to do is,1)head to the settings, 2)enter display setting 3)select image enhancements ,and turn it off...
AND there is no need for deodexed Rom to flash my rom.

1)battery charging (when i kept charging the battery %is 20 after 30 min also the battery %is 20)
2)apps which r in sd card are disappearing when ph restarts

You can set the default sim by heading to setting, then dual sim settings....
But if you want to have the old indicators in the status bar,you will need to replace the systemUI with the old one..

For the battery, i think it's just a temporary problem and it will not continue...
And for the "disappearing apps" ,when you restart your phone ,wait for about one minute before unlocking your device and starting using it,give the phone some time , probably it won't disappear again...

Wallpaper randomly changes
My wallpaper suddenly changes randomly. And everytime I reboot my phone, the wallpaper changes as well.
Clocks stopped working
Sorry for the double post. I don't know how to edit the previous one.
And yeah, I am getting an error message everytime I boot my phone saying Clocks has stopped working.

Welcome dude, no problem you are welcome ..
First, the wallpaper is being changed because of the tapet app,to stop this,open tapet app, then open the side menu and select settings,switch off the master switch, also click on the options tap and set the "randomize at phone start up" switch to off....
Second, yes that is right, every time you reboot your phone you will face this error message ,but it shows up just once in every boot right?

Yes it only boots up once which is actually not a real problem.
I was also able to find out earlier it was the Tapet app that was causing it. I was about to post it here but you got to me first. Hehe. Btw, Tapet app is real cool for minimalistic wallpapers. Thanks for including it in the rom. :good:
One more tiny bit. Phone Settings button (little gear icon) does not seem to be included when I pulldown the notifcation/status bar? Is there a way to access the phone settings without going through the app drawer?
Oh, one more thing. How can I press the "thanks" button a million times for you here?
