I can help you with settings .apk, and you dont need to decompile to modify the icons, just download 7zip,when you installed it,right click on the .apk and extract it you will see the folders with the icons, then replace what you want, when you are done, just right click again in the .apk and just select open, navigate to the folder and just copy the images you replaced, close all and thats all.
its simple as that.

just figured out that i had to install framework-res.apk and semcgenericuxpres.apk by the command
apktool if "name".apk
then i could decompile

RLS1.1
-can be used on both the 1/26 and 1/28 RLS's

thoughtlesskyle said:
this is based off the newest aospGBmod posted early this morning i will likely be making new versions of this till he posts a deodex'd version:
This is a Full ROM (not just an Update or Theme)
-you MUST do a clean install (since the build is odex'd failure to do a complete wipe will cause problems)
features,
- twopointthree theme (minus the themed desk clock the stock ones still works though)
- a lot of bloat removed
-stock launcher2
-notification tray toggle switches are removed
-added back the stock (themed) music.apk
things i have taken out
-pacman.apk (used for installing commonly downloaded items from the market on the markets first use)
-livewallpaperpicker - i dont use live wallpapers so it just took up space for me (i will likely make a flashable zip to put them back in for people who want them)
-adwlauncher (the market one is better atm anyway)
-cm wallpapers
-home screen tips
-probably a few other things
download here
THIS ROM IS AOSP'S WORK, I SIMPLY THEMED IT AND REMOVED THINGS FROM IT!
this is a screenie of the twopointthree theme since i cant get drocap to work (you will not have the homescreen tips)

Downloading as I type - great job with this!
can i get a update zip for just the signal bars
Won't work that way
Sent from my HTC Hero CDMA using XDA App
Wow I was just thinking, "wouldn't it be great if he made a new twopointthree for aospGBmod 0.2"
And so I check XDA forums and BANG here it is.
Thanks a million. I will use it religiously.
Glad to see you're still working on your themes for GB, downloading now
Ok, I can't download it stupid 4shared keeps quiting download right away and I only get 100KB of it... Anyone else having problems? I'm doing this on a computer not my phone (which gives me the same damn problems)
updated the first post, now that i have a ROM to build off of i should be able to RLS mostly updates for a while.
in order to use the update, starting from scratch
-nandroid
-install the ROM
-install your Gapps
-boot go through startup wizard (or just boot up if not using the wizard)
-then flash the update
if already using the ROM
-make a nandroid
-flash the update
enjoy guys! its bed time for me again
Please, I wouldn't normally ask this, but could you re-upload to somewhere besides 4shared? I cant download the ROM.
Great job Kyle! Looks awesome as usual my man. As soon as aosp gets Bluetooth and GPS working I'll be on the 2.3 bandwagon

I've gotta say I am not a fan of clockworkmod v3.0.0.5. It wil not let me install scripts like this update. Going back to Darchs RA recovery image!
looks awesome, nice work kyle! fyi, your latest update was done on 11/14/2011, lol. check the post. also, as this is a rom, you should put it into the development thread again, nice work.
what files control the signal bar?
and same for volume bar

i would put this in the development thread but doing that just would not be true, this is a theme with a modified slimed down ROM, i did not produce the rom and the rom already has its own Development thread.
also i fixed the date in the OP

the signal bars are in the systemUI folder
the volume up and down are controlled by an xml in the framework-res
since the stock ROM is odex'd you cant just flash this over top of it hence why you cant just have the signal bars, i am getting around it because i have modified the ROM so i can get in and tamper with it without causing an issue
ur good at theming, is everything i need to theme besides apps in the framework folder? or is it just framework.apk an stuff that has .jar have nothing to do with themeing

i noticed u maked systemui.apk odexed,
also should i be able to delete systemUI apk an odex an replace it with ur apk or is there more to it

[Tutorial]Making your own theme using UOT Kitchen(WORKS WITH NEW GINGERBREAD ROMS!))

(Most of this tutorial was taken from mendozinas on XDA)
Kitchen originally was built for HTC Desire, but now it supports most devices with Android OS.
Kitchen takes files from your rom and adds modifications you choose.
I have no association with this site, just a fan of it =)
With UOT you can customize the notification bar, notification bar icons, boot animation, window animations, and much more!
THIS WORKS WITH ANY 2.2 and 2.3 ROM!
Just an example of what I did to the notification bar icons on Wolfbreak's ROM using this website.

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Make a backup before you do this. I am not responsible for what happens to your device. (Tough to mess up =) )
How to use kitchen
1. Go to Kitchen page http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
2. Browse through available mods and choose what you need (press generate preview)
3. Go to File upload section and upload your files or choose rom from kitchen's list (most roms in the list is for HTC Desire) Make sure you do this or you cannot finish your process. I have only seen Trips old 1.5 MIUI ROM and Wolfs 007.1 on the list. Send a request in to UOT Kitchen to add any ROM to the kitchen list.
OR
3. I suggest navigating to your rom, clicking system, then framework, then framework-res(for froyo ROMS only)
For gingerbread ROMS just upload the SystemUI file as well along with the step above.
4. In the same tab you will see "Select flashable zip scripting" Make sure you fill the bubble for "Amend scripting."
Cyanogenmod7 rom: Cyanbread.apk or Androidian.apk or any theme for ThemeChooser (rename as you like it to appear in theme menu)
NOTE 1: if you uploading theme apk - do not upload any other files (you're just wasting trafic, because kitchen will ignore additional files)
NOTE 2: Font packs and Bootanimation do not requires uploading files.
4. Go to Summary section. All choosen mod must be in green background. If there is mod in red background - it means you did not finished it.
press Submit work to kitchen
5. Remember UOT file name. You can wait for a kitchen to cook your request, but after 5min waiting will be stopped (nothing to worry about).
6. Go to Pickup page http://uot.dakra.lt/pickup/ and wait for your file to appear (it can take up to 30min or more)
7. Download UOT zip into SD card of your phone
8. Reboot into xrecovery and flash the UOT zip.
9. Reboot and enjoy =)
IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLE, JUST MESSAGE ME AND I WILL BE GLAD TO HELP
Shame you can't use it f eclair roms.

Not sure what your talking about for the stock 2.2.1 froyo, but if you download it and go to the system--> framework -->then res.apk you can find it
thanx.. although I already know how to find out problem is my framework already has battery percentage so it just keeps coming up with error when going through the kitchen hence I was hoping someone had the unmodified framework-res.apk?

Highlight system files because your uploading Wolfs Rom. Make sure you extract WB-009 Rom into a folder you can navigate to. Then when you have a folder go to the system--->framework---> Then framework res.apk. Then go to upload and then your good =)
Also make sure to highlight in "Amend scripting" instead of "edify scripting"

THESE ARE MINI DARK THEME LQ3 AND PREVIOUS VERSIONS ONLY TO GET TO THE NEW THREAD CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW
This is not a framework theme, so It will not make any changes on your framework-res.apk so that means that whatever rom you are using you will keep having framework just as your Rom Dev tweaked It
You have to delete systemui.odex in order to make it work on STOCK roms
Features:
-15 TOGGLES BY CRISKELO
-TWO DIFERENT COLOR COMBINATIONS x TWO DIFERENT CLOCK POSITION MAKE....TADAAAA! 4 STATUS BAR THEMES
-B&W WILL DELIGHT THOS WHO SHOW OFF THEIR ELEGANCE, CLEAN INTERFACE, NO TEXT, JUST ICONS, THE ONLY COLOR IS IN BATTERY TO HELP YOU NOW IF IT'S GREEN (OVER 15%) OR RED (UNDER15%)
-GREEN, FOR THOSE THAT LIKE A COLOUR TOUCH WHILE NOT WILLING TO SUFFER EPILEPSIA CAUSED BY CRAZY TOGGLES, THIS ICONS LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON AMOLED SCREEN
THERE ARE ALSO TWO PACKAGES ADITIONAL:
-MINITHEMETRINEVIZEDPACK!! WICH WILL BRING YOU SOME OF THE SELECTED S3 MODDED APPS TO MAKE YOUR DESK LOOK EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL AND OF COURSE BEAUTIFULL CAMERA.APK BY KALAGAS CREDITS TO THE THEMING MASTER!!
-S3_TWLAUNCHER_3.0 MODDED BY ME TO MAKE OUR S NOTE LAUNCHER LOOK LIKE NEW S3 LAUNCHER WITHOUT THE KNOWN LAGG ISSUES WE ALL HAVE SEEN ON S3 LAUNCHER WHEN SCROLLING TO THE LAST SCREEN.(ALSO INCLUDED IN THE PACK)
For themers/devs/amateurs like me
These files have been all compiled and signed properly and can be decompiled and recompiled without problem, feel free to use the things I made, to use any other devs ask them permission
Links to recovery flashable zips
MiniDarkTheme B&W RightClock
MiniDarkTheme B&W CenterClock
MiniDarkTheme Green RightClock
MiniDarkTheme GreenCenterClock
MiniThemeS3+KalagasCameraPack (this does not include status bar and toggles mod so flash the one you want together with this if you want It)

And for those who want the TWLauncher modded alone here It goes:
S3_Modded_TWLauncher30
This should not be harmfull, I have tried myself all the mods, but flash at your own risk. I am not responsible for anyone's phone
If you wont to go back just flash your ROM over again

How to revert back to the previous notification panel?
Perhaps you should make a note in the op that this will not work on stock lpy. Tried it & systemui forced close. :-(

Sorry, would you mind explaining/expanding on this? Would I flash the zip in recovery, then in recovery delete the systemui.odex?
I know I need to learn more. I used to be lazy & use uot kitchen to make my own mods - but since updating to ICS the stock framework res file is bigger than the max upload size on the site - so guess I need to learn more!
MiniDarkThemeReloadedGreen...awesome mini theme. My GNote look handsome and gorgeous now..hehe

Use root explorer or any other file explorer that allows you to write over system folder and just remove the file from your phone , and I woul recommend you to use Rocket Rom. The closest to stock just slightly tweaked for performance and gorgeous battery life

You should have asked before flashing, sinsce I asume you do not have a backup of your systemUI.apk you will have to flash the whole LP9 Rom to go back to Stock

Wow that's great thanks for the info it worked! Awesome transparent pull-down now & loving the extra options!
Now say I wanted to change the icons (i.e. I like digital battery theme). Do you know, would it simply involve using a program like 7zip to just go in & swap the images? Or would I have to recompile & sign the zip & stuff?

IT would work if you choose the right pngs and change their names to match exactly the ones in the apks and if they are same size , I have not decompile anything. I am waiting for eybee197p to help me with that. But even without decompiling and recompiling It works OK

Thanks will give it a try...
This is probably because I'm using stock, but the iPhone-style clock ( )in the middle of the status bar is interfering/overlapping with status bar notifications. Like I just updated a market app & when I got the status bar "app successfully updated" it overlapped with the clock. Any fix?

Not from me, it is the price you have to pay for having it centered. Not a problem for me though. XML editing is on devs. I only do Photosop and a lot of hours thinking how to fit everything

First of all are u in GT-S5301 then check that ur xposed is fully activated by going on framework & have active & bundled numbers in green same exactly as those in grey. Third try downloading it from here.
Keep me posted if it worked or not

Tranceparent status bar on lockscreen
All xposed modules make the status bar tranceparent but on lockscreen still black
So i modified a jar file to make it that awesome
If you notice the carrier provider name is shown now
How to :-
1- the rom must be deodexed
2-The status bar should be tranceparent before with xposed module like tweakbox
3-copy the attatched jar file to /system/framework/ and overwrite
4-reboot and wait about 5m
Download:- http://www44.zippyshare.com/v/26945532/file.html
That is My first mod
