[UFT][MOD/ICONS] Minimalist stencil notification icons - now with D/L link!! oops! - Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

these icons are originally by itiskonrad from the att thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2275858
I ported these to a Universal Flash Tool zip, to cleanly morph/mod AOSP, GE and TW roms.
the zip will create a UNDO zip on your sdcard

I put it in a UFT zip and edited file names to be compatible with more than just one single TW rom for a single device. Now thanks to my help with his original work, it is compatible with AOSP, TW and GE roms for any device. not to mention VRthemes (like the other guy posted) are only good for CWM or TWRP. there are separate VRtheme templates for each. eww. my UFT is compatible with both cwm and twrp, and all 3 rom types on any xxhdpi device.

Eww flash the undo zip on your sdcard

Dear friends,
First thanks to TRusselo for its nice work.
I see some people have problems with this theme. I think that coming from the fact that the MOD is a VR themes, and some mods are not possible with this kind of project. The advantage of it is that they are universal, but they can only patch resources like icons/pictures and sometime its not enough.
If you study the original MOD, you will see that the author also work on layout XML files (signal_cluster_view) which are compiled for a particular ROM so they cannot be used in a VR mod. You won't be able to have the "stacked" signal icons that way from original SystemUI.
The problem of the battery is the same : some systemUi have been changed by ROM makers to extend the original behaviour (animated charge battery ...). We can see in the icons directory that the icons are patched in the drawable-xhdpi resource directory while most of the SystemUi use drawable-xxhdpi directory and tw_stat_sys_battery_xxxx file names.
For all those reasons I'm afraid that the only way to achieve the original MOD with all its feature is to rebuild the original files and to replace them on ROMS. I've done it for me, I will try to share a version for latest TW roms.

yea i dont think itll work properly for TW. it works but the icons are off a lot. oh well

Is there a way to enable activity indicator for the wireless ?
Also I'm unable to have the battery icon. Think it is caused by gravity box
Also tried the UNDO zip.. and it fails

its not a VRtheme zip, its a Universal Flasher Theme zip. 2 different but similar methods. and with both, it doesnt work with ANY rom but, also can..
there are some TW roms that this does work on, others not, works better with AOSP and GE roms, but there's one or 2 they dont. Subtle differences break functionality. Some custom TW roms have the stacked icons incorporated already, and allows this to work. other roms have no send/receive icons at all, and yes some xposed modules take over icons.

MAKE UR OWN DIALER
hi frndz i was for long thinking how to simplify making ur own dialer on the go, so after help from Henk (team-member) i made smthing that might interest all.
Ok so lets get to steps.
1. Make sure u have sdk installed.
2. Download the cdt.rar from HERE.
3. Extract the zip and open it, you will find 5 folders.
4. The folder update dialer is one containing the images of buttons and the folder update res contains a single image of dialer background.
5. Edit the images as you like without changing the size and name.
6. connect the fone and run cdt_extreme.bat file.
7. Once done and fone rebooted u can see ur creativity.
8. For example i used following three files
-> As dialer bg
-> When u press dialer button it turns like this.
-> Left this transparent to generate max effect.
here is after what i got mixing the files above
9. plz plz plz i this has made u happy hit thnx button. and i wanna thank henk for his awsome help.
10. Dt forget to share ur creativity
Critical update : Copy the attached two files and place them in CDT\UpdateRes\res\drawable-hdpi folde. Now u can also mod the call button. Cheerz.
MOD SHIFTED : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1261877
Common FAQ of MODS
Q. Will the mods use more batt and phone resources?
Ans. All my mods are made of files already included in original rom, so the batt and phone resources are not stressed.
Q. Are the mods interdependent or individual?
Ans. For mods we play with following files
a. System ui (Status bar & signal bars).
b. Fusion (over all look).
c. Framework (Batt mods).
d. Resources (Icons).
If mod includes combination of sysui and framework then it will have both corresponding batt and signal mods. Though i have tried to make most independent.
Q. How to go back to original if i do not like the mod?
Ans. On post there is a file revert back to stock batt and statusbar, so use when you wanna get back.
Q. How to request a mod?
Ans. Simple post the pics or icons u wanna use and give me via link or mail. I will try my best to keep up the requests.

You can find it in my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16158575&postcount=4
But I can't guarantee that it won't undo some of the theming in this Rom. You can try it out, bit if it does undo something in this Rom and if that's important to you, you might want to wait for lalitsehgal21 to release a version with it.

(Stock KPM/KPH) All mods in one

I have collected all mods in one zip file so that everyone get benefit of that.
Most important is that it has complete KPH stock look. No theme is included in this.
It has following features
--CRT
--blur overscroll glow [by default]
--14 toggle ON TOP SIDE [by skin]
--Honeycomb style 1% battery
--ANIMATED PULL DOWN NOTIFICATION BAR.
I have uploaded flashable zip file. So just keep file on external sd & flash through recovery mode.
Again I have kept Pulldown notification bar as bouncing CM7 symbol...!!! Its simple but very attractive. I am sure you will like it. It runs soothly without a single error.
You need rooted, deodexed XXKPM rom with skin's cf root.
I know that here everybody is curious about battery life. I CAN ASSURE U GUYS THIS ANIMATION NOT AT ALL AFFECT BATTERY LIFE. System resources are utilised to show animation only when we pull notification bar. So a very neglighble battery is used.

First honestly I want to say that this is dedicated to Rex & his health. Hope he will recover soon.
I want to say that its not my creation guys. Really sometimes all the things are already available around us but we never pay attention towards them. This feature is already available on online UOT kitchen. But no one noticed it.
Anyway I am uploading directly flashable zip file for u. It contains all mod included which are created by our great members.
--CRT
--orange overscroll glow
--6 toggle ON TOP SIDE
--1% battery
--ANIMATED PULL DOWN NOTIFICATION BAR.
As I dont have knowledge how to creat flashable zip file I have used flashable zip file of some other theme. I have replaced inside files only. So it will show u some other name while flashing. Just ignore it

PLEASE LET ME KNOW UR VALUABLE FEEDBACK.
It looks really awesome ....
but will it be laggy as it showed in the video ?
You have my thanks ..... I am waiting to see the interesting results you might give us brother !
Tapashocked via my gt-I9003 with a random keyboard of my choice !
it lagged as hell in the vid..................wat abt battery life !
Somewhere i have read that lag in animation can be removed by adjusting timing between two png images used in animations. Its a little complicated for me. I have never edited any xml files or used apkmanager tool. We have many brilliant theme editor developer. I think they should try for this.
my first time trying to edit any apk i decompiled it but dont rely get step 4. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/151983-animated-status-bar-pulldown-gb-roms.html i did opet the requested file, found the line but what should i add there now...?
edit:another question, not related to this.when i decompiled systemui i went to dravable hdpi i replaced ruccent pgn iccons with my own ofc used same name.they are 512x512 but when i tryed to compile it i got error, and question is it system apk, anyway cant compile it back any suggestion?
I smell heavy memory hogs.
Do you know that SystemUI.apk of I9003 does not have status_bar_background_animation.xml??? Even if we copy it from Atrix it may or may not work as it would require support from whole system framework, but am not sure at the moment until we give a shot at it...
Ya...atrix have that file & we dont have. But still there must be some way.
On internet i come to know that UOT kitchen supports animated pulldown notification. I want to try it. But right now i am in queue on that site. Nearly after half hour my number will come. Then i will try & post the results.

If u are using themes randomly then sometimes system become unstable. I am using my phone without any theme.
ah np i didnt lost anything ,got an idea that theme will replace broken files and it worked.i think its about zip coz manualy adding systemui works.ask some1 to build proper zip.

Wow that's great thanks for the info it worked! Awesome transparent pull-down now & loving the extra options!
Now say I wanted to change the icons (i.e. I like digital battery theme). Do you know, would it simply involve using a program like 7zip to just go in & swap the images? Or would I have to recompile & sign the zip & stuff?

IT would work if you choose the right pngs and change their names to match exactly the ones in the apks and if they are same size , I have not decompile anything. I am waiting for eybee197p to help me with that. But even without decompiling and recompiling It works OK

Thanks will give it a try...
This is probably because I'm using stock, but the iPhone-style clock ( )in the middle of the status bar is interfering/overlapping with status bar notifications. Like I just updated a market app & when I got the status bar "app successfully updated" it overlapped with the clock. Any fix?

Not from me, it is the price you have to pay for having it centered. Not a problem for me though. XML editing is on devs. I only do Photosop and a lot of hours thinking how to fit everything

This time, I didn´t put framework-res.apk in zip-file, so it should be compatible with other stock-Roms. Please mention, that I have not tested this. If you try, a backup is high recommended.

Hi herbertzzz, this is a nice mod and i know this only for D802 and not AT&T. All the phones have a stock feature in common that i want to change i.e. Status bar (that carries signal, battery, notifications etc )50% transparency for custom wallpaper. I want it 100% transparent for custom wallpapers also just like how it appears for stock wallpapers. I played around all possible images in "LGSystemUI.apk". But i think it is some ".xml" code that is doing this in which i don't have the skills. Could you please help. Thanks in advance.

You are right, but I am have no chance to decompile G2-apks. APK-tool worked for me with Galaxy Note 2, but with G2 it does not. Also there are less Devs here for this device. I hope, this will become much better in the next few weeks.
I´m also waiting for some similar Mods. Code-changing is not my strenght, sorry for that.I always need some manuels and patterns to do this.

Netmeter is not in Theme included...it's activated with xposed framework.
Nice work, its a beautiful MOD
Works fine on D80210C AME :good:
Just installed it however is it normal that half of the apps, the status bar remains silver? Done on purpose?
Thanks
Here's an example;
I also found another bug
In post # 1 I wrote, that the level of transparency in statusbar is about 50 % !!!. If you have white app-backgrounds or wallpapers, statusbar will be grey. This is really normal.
Second Post: Which bug do you mean? I can´t see one. I think you also mean the 50%-tinted bar, am I right?

[MOD] Battery Percentage on StatusBar Stock based MTC19T - MTC19Z

The option of having the battery percentage seems to have been removed with MTC19T. One of these zips will put one to the left of your battery. The other will replace your battery with percentage only. Since most of you are not deodexed, one is a full systemui.apk replacement. If you have other mods done to your systemui, you will need to perform them again after flashing this.

It works with centered clocks too.
The font is not bold as the Clock, and is therefore somewhat awkward.
There is an exposed module (if you're using it) called Battery Percent that does just that but bold and consistent with the Clock font and size.

is that statement in reference to the System UI Tuner setting? because if so, i can tell you i'm running stock MTC19T and the option is still available.

No, I don't use exposed. I prefer to do my own modding.
Making it bold should not be a problem, nor size. Thanks for the suggestion.
Edit: Something like this?

I would very much like to know what modding you're doing to make this happen. As my developer knowledge is non existent

I am using apktool to decompile and recompile. Notepad ++ to edit the files. The file I'm editing is system_icons.XML. Also, there are some smali files that were added.

I don't know. It no longer is added by long pressing the settings symbol. Might be due to some of my modding.

I agree, however. I need to either amend the current zips with this or add new ones.
Has this been tested on Android N preview 3 ?
This is just what I want, but it would be nice knowing if it works on N

No, this is currently for MTC19T only though I could make it for other firmwares. I don't have a deodexed copy of Android N preview 3 so I have no way of doing it.

I took a look at Android N earlier (preview 2, I think). I got it deodexed but if I remember right, I had trouble getting it to except modifications. Bootlooped every time. If you had a copy of preview 3 or if I could get a copy without having to install it on my phone, I'd be happy to check in to it.
Edit: Tried again. The problem is I cannot get it deodexed.
Paranoid Android implement the same battery percentage solution as here.
Hopefully their return will help make this a new standard instead of CM's tiny annoying font.
Rock on

I would need a deodexed copy of the systemui.apk due to smali files that need to be added.
How to flash?
Can I flash this directly on stock rom without root or bootloader unlock? or need to intall custom recovery?
