Atrix 2 MB865 Running Offical OTA 4.0.4 .. Have this issue since 2 weeks now .. Antivirus-AVG, No threats detected. But my phone does not work for 3-4 mints and reboots after reboot works fine for 20-24/48 hrs den after dat same issue.. from past 2 weeks same this. Is there any solution, please help me.
Try uninstalling few apps that you have installed recently...
If the problem persists, do a factory reset.

Delete any bloated apps you dnt use etc.. and try to factory reset. If that does not help then FXZ the offical 4.0.4 OTA.

I think he's referring to the bloatware apps that come preinstalled on the factory ROM. Things like AT&T apps, etc (its been so long since I've been on stock that I don't remember what they all are). More often than not, you'll need to be rooted to remove them.
That being said, I don't see how any of those apps could be causing this particular problem. A factory reset and/or FXZ flash should clear it up for you though.

Without root you'll only be able to backup the game apps, but not the game data. The only way you'll be able to backup your progress in the game is to root your phone and use titanium backup or another app like it.

Numa is an ICS rom. but a very stable and fast one.
why r u afraid of rooting?? even if u don't want to flash another rom, u can make a backup of apps or freeze unwanted bloatware apps.. so that ur phone runs smooth.
but afterall its ur choice. read and try out.

+1. The positives of rooting outnumber the negatives. Just take the time to read and learn what you're doing and you won't regret it.

I have a question. I just got my A2 today and rooted it successfully. I'm staying on the stock rom until the bootloader gets unlocked. I have tbu installed to restore my apps from my last phone. Now I want to get rid of some bloatware. I want to know if its safe to uninstall them with tbu and if I do this will it affect any updates that att might send out?

I wouldn't uninstall anything if I was u. Find an app to freeze them but read up on the apps that are freezable. One wrong move.... u know? Its gonna be a while I think before the bootloader gets unlocked! U can always go back to stock with the fxz file. I've done it and it works... for sure!
Thanks to the both of you.
When you say bloatware, almost 90% of AT&T preinstalled apps are installed in data/app not system/app so they are removable by default. You can uninstall about 90% of them the same way as any other app. This also shouldn't have any impact on the OTA updates pushed from AT&T.

No you can not do this with out having issues with updates and such! We have found in cheesecake that updates require things like the ATT crapware, and the update fails if does not find the apps installed, so if you do this, you will have to restore the fxz before any update, so that you can get the update.
Whatever anyone does DO NOT REMOVE ANY APPS from your phone, that were shipped with it! Go get modaco's easy freazy, and freeze anything that might be bloat, but just search in here to see if anyone had an issue after freezing.
Jim, did AT&t push out the update already, because I uninstalled all of the crapware the first day I got my phone!

Not yet, I have a copy, and I am working on a CWM flash-able zip that will not care about the crapware, and I also leaked it to lfaber06, to include in his stuff too.
so will we be seeing the update in v6 of lfaber06's supercharged rom?

Thanks guys again for the advice. I've had Android phones for a few years (HTC, Samsung) . This is my first motorola so its going to take me a minute to get used to. I'm used to flashing a different rom everyday and doing various tweaks so with this locked bootloader thing going on its going to be a little bit of a struggle for me not being able to do the norm.

Hi,
I got OTA of ICS and I am not liking it at all. I need to go back to Ginger Bread. Please help me find SBF of GB for India.
Thanks.
Unless I'm wrong.... You can't go back to GB from ICS, didn't you read the warning?

Hmm, why its not possible ? I saw a thread here somewhere in which op has done the same but its related to AT&T only. Where as I am in India. If i get GB SBF, can't I just reflash it uisng RSD Lite to go back to GB ?
Thanks.

Try to Factory Reset...This will work for sure...
Abn is right. try a factory reset. All you can do at this point. You CANNOT go back to gingerbread. You will brick.

Hy people...
I'm finnaly got the JB in my phone... It was hard and complicated to get it... and that's why I'm resisting to get the ICS back to keep the root in JB.
Now the question: Do you think that someone will figure out how to root the JB without going back to ICS? or it is impossible?
Thanks a lot!
Maybe. I couldn't wait so I did return to ics to root properly. Softbricked my phone but managed to fix it. No regrets!

unlock bootloader that best way , I just done it and got the CM10 installed which is much nicer and faster.

You can try resetting your phone to factory settings and then download and install the OTA from the configurations menu.
Keep in mind that resetting the phone to factory settings removes su, so keep a backup, unroot the phone and then reset the configurations.
Maybe you'll have to root again using the utility after doing the factory reset.
I, too, had to try many times before nailing it.

Just out of curiosity, what is worth it? I just got the phone, and I've rooted every other phone I've had. So far, this seems like the first one I don't need to root. I'm on shared data, which means I get wifi hotspot for free. I don't need titanium backup this time. The JB Moto UI seems light-weight, fast, and the battery lasts forever, so a custom ROM doesn't seem necessary. I'm not trying to be a smart alec, just honestly curious as to what rooting can do for me?

For you there is probably little benefit, though it's always good to keep titanium backups, and it's great for freezing problem apps you never use and don't want to remove. I also use Nova launcher and several other apps that require root for full functionality.

My Note has just been upgraded to 4.1.1 by OTA. After being eager to discover the new features, i realised that All the apps which worked well and fast before now have been slowly. The in-stock internet is not smooth in touch and flip any longer and usually being lag. Other apps take long time to start and respond.. Please tell me what happened with my note and should i do now to improve it? Or i must downgrade to the 4.0 ?
Thanks

Sorry for my dull, but what is wiping? I did not do any thing strange before the system alerted me to upgrade.
Factory reset after backing up apps and data or take Note to a Samsung service centre .

Its was an OTA and not installed using ODIN so there was no need to wipe.
Unfortunately thats is the case with most of the OTA give it a few days things get a little better

But I have installed those 20-25 days ago. I got no problem then.
As I said that my bro also faced it even if he wasn't rooted.
Then he would not have messed it.

It's a phone from India which means its some cheap piece of poop that's gonna have a lot of issues. Rooting the phone probably didn't help you with that. My best advice?
Un-Root.
Factory Reset.
Just incase though, what version of Android are you running?
