Deleting contacts on the Galaxy S3 - General Topics

Is there an easy way to delete a bunch of duplicate contacts on your Galaxy S3?

Go to contacts --> settings softkey --> delete --> select the contacts to delete by checking the box in front of them and hit delete.
Or if one is on your phone and the other on the SD/SIM/Google/WA/Whatever: contacts --> settings softkey --> Contacts to Display --> whichever one you need.
Alternatively, sync them with Google and delete them through your Gmail. Which is more work, if you ask me.

I was going to move this to the S III forum, but you can't really argue with the above answer, so...there you have it.

how do you sort your contacts by last names first?

it seems by default G2x sorts my contacts by first names. I prefer the way iphone does that letting me choose how to sort contacts and display them. is there any easy way to change this setting?
I don't own a g2x yet.. but on my vibrant you just need to go to contacts page and press menu button. display options -> sort list by: last name

[Q]CM10 Email App - Delete All Feature

Using the email app in CM10, is there the "Delete all" feature like that of the email app in TouchWiz?
In the TouchWiz stock email app, you can press the menu button and a host of options slide up (when you're in your Inbox). One of those option is "Delete all". One click to delete all instead of having to check each email individually for removal.
Wondering if CM10 had something like this in its email app that I can't seem to find.
TIA
The answer is: no

[Q] Choose phonebook source?

Hi all. I can't seem to find where to set the default address book to pull up when using the phone app. All I see is all contacts at the top which is definitely not what I want. Thanks!

Go to the people app, on the bottom right tap on the 3 dots and you will see an option to choose which contacts are displayed.
Hope this helps.

cannot remove contact photo

hi all,
I am using nexus 5 with marshmallow. Now I don't think if anyone faces this issue or not but I am not able to remove contact photo from contacts. There is no option to remove contact picture. Is anyone there facing the same problem? any solution?

That's what I am saying. There is no 'Remove photo' field there. Only 'Take new photo' and 'Select new photo' is there
