[Q]CM10 Email App - Delete All Feature - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Using the email app in CM10, is there the "Delete all" feature like that of the email app in TouchWiz?
In the TouchWiz stock email app, you can press the menu button and a host of options slide up (when you're in your Inbox). One of those option is "Delete all". One click to delete all instead of having to check each email individually for removal.
Wondering if CM10 had something like this in its email app that I can't seem to find.
TIA

The answer is: no

[Q] Asus Email Widget for GMail?

Is there any way to get the Asus email widget to open GMail instead of the stock Email app?

Click to collapse
Menu in the top right hand of the screen (in the email app)
Click account settings
Add Account is in the top right hand corner.
Make it your default. If you have another email account setup, you may want to delete it. The widget will tell you the total unread emails across all accounts setup.

Already done that
I'd like to know if there's a way to make it so that tapping the widget brings you to the GMail app instead though
The stock email app isn't quite as good as GMail
@slient
I have the same question/problem
I think that's impossible because Google is blocking every connection with Gmail app. No app on the market can connect to Gmail! Even ASUS is not allowed to create an app that works hand-in-hand with Gmail... sadly...

Well, technically, the desired effect can be achieved by checking for unread mail the way it is now but tap action should just open the different app.

Ah my bad, I misread the OP.
Out of curiosity what features do you want the gmail app for? The only real difference I saw was priority inbox/starred mails support. I don't use that often enough myself to worry about it.

GMail handles labels better and has a bigger viewing panel
also the default email app doesn't string conversations together
Not impossible, launcher pro has gmail widgets that I use everyday on OG EVO and 3D EVO

[Q] How to disable messaging...

I would like to disable SMS/MMS on my phone, and just use google voice. In fact, I don't even want the messaging app.
How do I delete completely, an installed app that's "built-in" to the ROM?
If you have root, you have two methods:
1. Titanium Backup and uninstall it.
2. Root Explorer to /system/app and delete mms.apk.
I'd make a copy for backup, just in case.
Don't delete it ... that's asking for issues.
You can replace the icon in the dock easily (app drawer, menu, view type, customizable grid, menu, edit, drag desired icon over stock icon, menu, save, menu, view type, alphabetical grid).
In the messaging app (inbox, not within a message), menu, settings, uncheck Notifications.
That way you can just ignore the stock app. It will be pretty much like its been uninstalled, but without the issues that come up when you remove stock apps.

I'd presume that OP doesn't want to receive texts at all, thus preventing him from getting charged by ATT. While I'm not sure that yanking the APK will do it (maybe change your SMS retrieval number?), it's more of a step in the right direction, as hiding notifications just hides the fact that texts are coming through.
If the OP wants to block texting, a call to AT&T should fix that.

Just delete the SMS center number in messaging/advanced settings. Without that number, the phone can't retrieve the message. To disable mms, just uncheck mms retrieval(or something like that) in settings.
I'm running MIUI, and I completely uninstalled the stock messaging app, using Handcent in it's place.
Aren't you able to freeze the sms. apk using TiBu or is that only available with the paid version?

I think that's a paid app feature. But, you need root to use it.

[Q] Messaging missing from "Share via" menu

As far as I remember, I used to be able to hit the menu butter and share a link via chrome or "reddit is fun" and I was given the option to send it via messaging. I no longer have this option. I still have the option to send pictures to the messaging app through the gallery, however so it does work with pictures. Does anyone know of a way to edit this menu or fix it so messaging is back in there so I can share links from chrome or reddit via messaging?
Thanks

[Q] Remove Email App Icon in Android 5.0?

Just wondering if it's possible to remove the Email app in 5.0?
I think it's stupid that all the Email app does is tell you to use the GMail app for all accounts. I got and understood that the first time i launched Email, and now I'd like to remove the app (or at very least the Icon) if possible.
Thanks!
Disable the app
Edit: From the app drawer drag up to app info and then choose disable.

Possible Inbox by Google mod?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's anything that can be done to replace the "done" or "reply all" buttons on the notification from inbox to a "delete" option? I went in settings but couldn't find anything.
I'd be really interested in this too.
