[Q] 4.2.2 Wifi Issues - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

I've tried digging through the interwebs with several searches and couldn't find anything about wifi issues on any 4.2.2 ROM for my mytouch. I've used JellyKang 1.8 and Baked BlackBean 8 and both don't allow me to turn on wifi at all, everytime i try to switch on it immediately reverts to off. Wifi did work with CM10.1 on JB 4.2.2 so I'm not sure why there's a problem using the other ROMs. Anybody know anything about it or can give me any feedback? It would be extremely appreciated.
Also, I've cleared cache, dalvik cache, fixed permissions, and factory reset before flashing Jellykang or blackbean.
***EDIT***
I'm also missing my MAC address, isn't that supposed to be there regardless?
And the toggle button for wifi is greyed out, I'd post the screenies I have if i could.

Data only works while in-call?

I've noticed this problem yesterday in Serendipity 4.3 and I thought it was just me. I upgraded to 5.2 and also did a Master Clear and still have the same problem.
I tried updating my modem from JK4 to JL3 and it's still the same issue. Web-browsing/Data will not work unless I'm currently on call with someone. As soon as I hang up, data doesn't work anymore.
Anyone know what the problem is? I have "Use Packet Data" checked in Wireless Settings also.

After you flash roms, are you doing a system data restore? If so, that has been known to cause problems.
Nope, all I did was restore user apps, that's all.
I've got serendipity 5.2 and don't have this problem. Try flashing back to stock and master clear, then upgrade to 5.2 or 5.3 and before you restore anything, test it.

[Q] Wi-Fi issues on all CM9 ROMS

Hey guys!
I have looked up this issue, but everyone seems to have it then they reboot and everything is fine!
I flashed the CM9 - HellsFire, Eaglesblood, and the one released by CM_Arcee.....
Problem = When I turn on my wi-fi it gets stuck saying "Turning Wi-Fi On...." and just stays there. When I back out of the menu, and go back into the WIFI, it doesn't show the Turning Wi-Fi On..... but it doesn't show any wireless hotspots.
I tried flashing the kernel from Rootzwiki - the latest one thats made for CM9... and to no avail.
I tried...... anyone have any suggestions?

it's a known issue. Wifi calling does not work on ICS, and if it does, it's failing during calls. Hope time will heal this.
If wifi calling is essential for you, i recommend Eaglesblood GB 2.3 rom.

Did you wipe data, cache, dalvik, and system before flashing? If you're the only one having this problem then it's user error.

He didn't ask for wifi calling, just wifi. There are two 2.3 GB Eaglesblood ROMs, I think the one you're referring to is the 2.3.7 one though.
I tried wiping data, cache, dalvik, but I have never tried wiping system.... I will see if that fixes it.
EDIT
I tried wiping system, and then fixing permission afterwards, still no luck! I guess I will have to go back to CM7, and see if my wireless works there.

[Q] WiFi not working (HTC Desire S & Vanilla ICE v2.0)

I seem to be the only one having this problem.
Tried out Vanilla Ice v2.0 and everything is working OK for me except WiFi.
When I try to turn it on it immediately flips back off.
wery similar to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1648006
Have tried to download the rom again and re-flash but it still won't work.
Does anyone have the md5 hash for the rom? so I can verify that it is healthy?
Or is this a known problem?

Wipe and reinstall all.
My only problem with wifi is with hidden SSID, when I try to setup a new connection the application crashes and is no way to setup this type of wifis.
This is how you should do
Enter recowery do wipe and then install from scratch
After installation, make even wipe Dalvik cahe
Should be OK
Everybody can move to BlindICE
Come on to BlindIce 10, a really great ROM simmilar to VanillaICE

[Q] Temp CM9 / AOKP connection fix?

Hey guys, I believe somewhere there was a thing to flash where toggling airplane mode could fix connection issues after a reboot instead of having to keep rebooting and hoping for internet. Can anyone post a link to this mod or give me a suggestion how to possibly get internet back? Thanks.
EDIT: would adding an APN help? epc.tmobile.com?

I have no idea what your talking about but I have a problem like yours where the data won't connect and adding APN's are useless... i dont know
Found a way to make it connect for sure on next reboot. Go Settings>network setting>APN and press menu and look for reset default. Then reboot. 5/5 times on reboot it connected for me so far.
Do you mean the temp fix in cm9 alpha 12? Haven't tried it myself yet.
"Not much is changed, but Intervigil hacked up a temporary fix that should get RIL to startup properly and eliminate ‘no data on reboot’ issues. Also this included all latest cyanogenmod changes.
Changelog Alpha12
Fixed RILD startup"
Issue is fixed on alpha 12 cm9 but not on aokp. If on aokp you need to have radio zip on sdcard then shut off phone/boot into bootloader manually/boot into recovery/flash radio zip/reboot system. Your radio should be back on until you reboot again unfortunately.
Anyways CM9 is working a lot better than aokp.

[Q] How to fix? Wifi not turning on.

This problem first happened upon upgrading to the Revolver 4.2.0 build, but I've had issue with AOKP as well so I'm posting here instead of one of the rom specific threads.
The issue is that my wifi refuses to turn on. When I switch on the wifi toggle, the button greys out and it gets stuck on "Turning Wi-Fi on..."
I've tried via CWM to delete the Dalvik, Cache, Factory wipe, reinstall roms, but nothing worked.
In the advanced tab it also shows that the Mac Address and IP Address is unavailable.
Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Try a custom kernel... aokp ICS runs good with raymanfx's harmony ICS or guevor's aokp ICS kernel

It looks like a WiFi driver issue, install a custom kernel n try as suggested in above comment..

Humm, might not be the (only) problem.
I've tried using 3 other different kernels and none worked to fix it. I've cleared both caches and even reinstalled the rom for the kernel installs.
Not sure, but my CWM also suffers from the loop issue, though haven't bothered fixing it since I wanted to fix this wifi issue first.

Try going back to stock(unrooting) by using easy flash... if WiFi works fine with stock ROM then its just a matter or installing again...
