Hey guys, this is the Google Edition Galaxy S4 rom for AT&T SGH-i337/Canadian SGH-i337M/T-Mobile SGH-M919/GT-i9505 and Sprint SPH-L720 and Verizon SCH-i545. :victory::victory:
Instructions:
1) Reboot into Recovery
2) Wipe data/Factory reset
3) Install rom
4) If running AT&T i337, flash Loki Doki
5) Reboot
The directions are the same for 4.3 and 4.2.2.
If you end up in a bootloop, you can try rebooting into recovery, go to Mounts & Storage, format /system and format /data, and re-install ROM, and reboot. (Only if you end up in a bootloop after installing.) :good:
Don't know how to flash a rom?
Here are some instructions, thanks to galaxys4root.com, http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-tutorials/how-to-install-custom-rom-on-galaxy-s4/.
Downloads
I still can't put links in my posts, so there is a doc attached with the links for downloads. Sorry for the inconvenience.
[UPDATE] : Yes, I can!

Not really. For me, the battery is a little less than average. I guess it just depends on the features you turn on. But I suggest running 4.2.2 as that's what I'm doing because if something goes wrong it'll be slower to get help because you're ahead of the pack

Can someone PLEASE PLEASE post the baseband that comes on the GE GS4 model to download?
I am beyond puzzled why no one hasn't released it yet. I really want a copy being that it probably doesn't have the restrictions that AT&T has Samsung add into the Baseband for their phones. I want the stock Google baseband that is untouched by AT&T.
Thanks.

I have the GE Rom right now. It lets me turn off HSPA/LTE and force 2G. Also lets me get off LTE and stay on 3G (have to go thru the service menu though)

Hi,
I have the Japanese S2 LTE, for which there appear to be no custom ROMs. So I'll have to (urgh, this is not why I bought an Android phone) use the carrier's ROM. BUT when I try to do an OTA update, it boots into CWM. I assume this is because the OTA update is setup to work with the stock recovery. So does anyone know where I can get the stock recovery from? I assume I'll need to use Odin?
edit: more info:
Model: SC-03D
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband: SC03SOMLB9
Kernel: 2.6.35.11-SC03DOMLB9-CL980106
[email protected] #2
Build number: gingerbread.OMLB9
Also, I'm pretty sure the recovery will be the same as the Skyrocket. Almost everything about the phones is the same, save for the buttons and LTE chip.
TIA
Not sure of your model number, but a quick Google search came up with this...

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, SC-03D. It's the Japanese LTE model on Docomo. The LTE radio is different, and it only has one hard button with two touch buttons (like the original Galaxy S).
That thread is titled just Galaxy S 2 - will that work on an LTE?

For any future reference - I found a complete stock Docomo ROM on SamMobile and flashed it in Odin. My phone is now being treated (by Kies/OTA update) as a fully up to date, unmodified phone. Not that that really helps, Docomo still haven't released ICS. In October 2012. Still on Gingerbread. Yep.
HI all,
I am new to this forum.
i got factory unlocked samsung galaxy s2 hd lte i757m with android v4.1.1 from canada.
I am using this cell in INDIA.
I am experiencing some freeze and sometimes restarts almost daily in my first week of usage.
battery drains fast with just 1hour of wifi usage.
Also cell phone heatsup while charging
Samsung support says officialy jellybean is not been released to hd lte yet , so u might be facing the problem.
Guys does anyone has faced same issues?? please help
There is no official JB for the i757m yet - Samsung are right. The issues definitely sound ROM related, I would recommend rolling back to ICS as it's very stable for me, with good battery life. Also worth noting - your phone will always heat up while charging
Here is a thread relating to installing CWM on the i757m. Ignore that, under the 'Download' section (expand the hide tag) there's a Dev.host link to some files. Go into the Bell SGS2 HD LTE folder, grab Odin3_1.85.zip and in the Factory Images folder, grab 'Unzip Me Stock ICS'. Don't forget to click 'thanks' for dsixda in his thread.
Once you have both those files down, unzip the ROM to get a tar.md5 image, and use ODIN to flash. There are many ODIN tutorials on this site, I suggest reading a couple BEFORE doing anything, as this has the potential to brick your phone completely.
If you need further help after reading, I will be here. I have this phone, and have done this a few times
Good luck!
Justin
thanks Justin,
I am newbie to android and samsung
Could you let me know where shall i get started ???
also the important thing i will have to rollback to ICS from INDIA and not Canada this time.
Is it possible from India?? if yes how?? any specific version of kies software required??

That's no problems, we don't actually use Kies to do anything, plus we are downloading the ROM ourselves. I have done the same thing from Australia, so I don't think that India should be a worry
If you follow that link above, and grab the two files that I mentioned, that's the first step. Once you have them on your computer, I'll send you some USB drivers, and then help you with the next steps to get it working

Any idea when would be Jelly bean released for SGH-i757M?
I'd like some advice please on what to do next. I rooted then flashed my Samsung S4 with a new ROM named Imperium v16.1. Everything is fine except the classic issue of having little to no data connectivity. Wireless is fine and when people try to ring me it's fine. I try to ring out though I have to go into and exit airplane mode.
This is the first time I've flashing an android handset so I definitely put myself in the n00b category.
I'm at the stage that I just don't care what ROM I have I just need data connectivity to work again. Yes I was probably stupid it try it but you know what it's like. We all want to experiment!
I guess I have two questions. If I install another ROM will I just have the same problem? Also, from my research, I get the impression that the problem is that my handset's modem drivers/baseband(?) don't match the ROM. Is that accurate/likely?
Any advice or simple background into what's going on would be grand!!
Thanks community!

Your stock firmware was the outdated Jellybean 4.2.2. Flash latest stock firmware from HERE and you'll be able to use newer custom roms. And free user can cload with 300kb/s, don't be scared by the 15kb/s.
Thank you. I've got the download.. I'll give it a go this evening after work.
(wow the copy of Odin I picked up is full of bloatware.. Wonder if the source I got it from was a bit dodge)
That has worked beautifully! Thank you very much.
Gosh, I had forgotten how bloaty and boring the stock ROM is.
Earlier, the awesome Novembre5 had ported a T-Mobile 4.4.2 ROM for D800 users. This is awesome because we get to use WiFi Calling on our D800's even if we are on T-Mobile SIM's.
Now T-Mobile and AT&T finally have Android 5.0 Lollipop Builds out. We would greatly appreciate if someone could port this ROM over for us. I reached out to Novembre5 again, but he hadn't responded.
To that extent, lets put a bounty on it and see how badly people really want the Port.
I am willing to put $10 to whoever is able to port it for us.
If others are interested, do reply to this thread and I'll keep updating the list.
Pledges
1) aatifsumar: $10
2) wtang: $10
Total so far: $20
I think work should be done to decouple the ROM from the wifi-calling feature. I don't want to have to leave CloudyStock 2.7.
also, if you're serious, start an escrow service
I also use my D800 on T-Mobile. I'd love to be running official Lollipop with WiFi calling working! Count me in for $10.
Seems like a cool idea. However is not WiFi calling available for T-mobile costumers only, due to you need to register with T-mobile?

Yes, the ported ROM would be used by T-Mobile customers. Would not offer any advantages over the regular AT&T ROM for non T-Mo users.

I wonder if indiegogo could function for this, though that would probably start from the developer side, and we need to start from the bait side. IE, people commit, their money enters escrow, and is only released from the pot when the requirements are met. The pot grows until a developer comes along and get tempted.

Because it for use on the att g2.
Getting an unlocked att g2 and using it on t-mobile is an option for people,
Also with the port of the t-mobile rom, we would be able to use t-mobiles wifi callibg which is only available on their stock lg rom.
We definity need this to happen. Been using the kitkat tmobile rom port for a while and i love the wifi calling

I'm confused. If all you did was switch the D800 modem for the D801 modem, and everything else is the same, then that means you're running your D800 with a D801 kernel? I assume the T-Mobile flashable Lollipop ROM in the link contains a D801 Lollipop kernel. I thought you can't run a kernel from another variant G2 on the AT&T G2. Can somebody clarify?

D801 kernet on d800 working without any issues... I had some minor glitches on camera once but mostly it is smooth..

Thanks for your reply. And thanks for figuring this out and sharing with the rest of us. I may try this when I get home tonight.
One question though. The AT&T D800 has an extra noise cancellation microphone on the back above the camera that the T-Mobile D801 doesn't have. I wonder if using the D801 kernel and ROM means that extra mic no longer works. Either way, it's not a big deal.

Hey!
As @ShapesBlue says, if you took the OTA to 4.2.2 then you are locked. HOWEVER, there is a method developed by the typical enterprising XDA member that "Downgrades" the firmware by flashing part of the boot loader/firmware but leaves the crucial bit intact that doesn't brick the phone. Sort of a hybrid firmware flash. I believe it's supposed to open the phone up to flashing TWRP and non-stock custom ROMs. I know someone who used it and it worked on CM12.1 last year, but he also had some trouble after awhile (don't know if that was related to this procedure or not) and made an error later that bricked his phone, permanently it seems.
What isn't mentioned in that OP, at least the last time I looked, was that after doing this procedure, if you flash the firmware recommended in the CM12 and CM13 thread OP's, you will overwrite the partition that is spared in his zip file. Then you will be dead! He does explain exactly what partitions are flashed by telling you how to make the zip file. The updater-script I expect is not touched. Looking at it or in the other files you'll need to do this process will show you what's written where, but they have the partitions names. You can go into the CM12.1 thread OP on XDA for our phone and by clicking on the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link you can find all kinds of stuff, plus a few different partition tables that tell you how your phone is setup. There is other info in the OP itself about this and other topics related to flashing CM as well. (I'm the OP )
WARNING! Don't go into this haphazardly though. I would read through that thread thoroughly and see what if any success people are reporting, and ask questions. You don't want to ruin your phone!
It's in the "Android Development" forum in the root forum for our phone.
Report back on what you end up doing.:good:
