[Q] Need Guidannce - General Questions and Answers

I will keep it short.
I am from India.I won a neXus 4 giveaway back in dec 2012 from AndroidAuthority.com , The guy responsible for the event had told me that he shipped the device 3 times during these 8 months but i never got the device. When i ask them 1 or 2 time they threatened me that they will not continue if i keep asking them. Now all of a sudden they mailed me that the device was lost during shipment and according to their terms and conditions , i will get nothing. I tried to access that giveaway web page for T&C , but the page was removed. When i asked them to prove me that they really shipped the device (some reciept or track number), they are not even replying me.
Being a middle class guy from india , is there something i can "actually" do against such a big International organization ? i don't have any money to go against them . Please guide me on this . Should i stand against them or my protest against them will not even matter to anyone?
I have every proof and all the conversations and there is no way my point can be proved wrong. They treated me very bad.
Please help me!!!!! What should i do?

[wtb][Q] HTC titan 2 on ebay

After following the forum for almost a year now, im finally posting
I have a small query. after using SGA for a long time now, i felt like getting a windows phone (HTC titan 2) for a change. titan 2 is not available directly in my country (India) so im gonna have to get it via my sister who lives in USA.

my budget is a maximum of $500. the question is are these sellers trustworthy? or could it be a scam or damaged item? the no returns accepted worries me. i don't mind if the pack is opened but i want it to be fully functional in india without any defects.
i have heard from some guy that if you purchase via paypal, even though the seller claims no returns accepted, you can return them to him by giving the return shipping details to paypal and once the item reaches the seller, you'd receive a full refund. this seems to ease the hesitation on my part but i'm still not sure 100%.
can some of you guys share your experiences/give advise..?

the big companies have customer support and will usually do all that, but normal people dont.
as long as paypal is involved you can be safe, if the product doesnt work then you can make a dispute.

hi guys
i am planning to buy a new phone soon, probably a China one. i have already checked many china shops but most of them do not look like a safe place for spending a couple hundred euros, and paying with paypal is in many of them impossible.
so would you be so kind and share your expirence with chinapadmall, because i was unable to find any useful information on the internet. at a glance they look different from most of china shops and paying with paypal is also possible.
just another question: probably i am going to buy either a iocean/OU Sheng X7 or a UMI X2. which one do you think is better in term of build quality?

I personally would keep away from Chinese phones, generally because they tend to not have any support afterwards. I looked through this site and however designed/presented nicely, the reviews are mostly of customers asking questions about the product. They seem to respond back though so that may be a good sign (even though they're using the reviews section as a forum, which is deceiving). Sorry for not exactly answering your question, but that's just my 2cents.

Either way, I wouldn't want to touch any China-made products left alone spending "a couple hundred euros" for it.

you are probably right about support ,sadly not so many own those phones. actually i am buying that kind of phone, because in last half year i lost two phones (they were both stolen by somebody). now i do not want to spend much money on a new phone.
including taxes and DHL shippinig i can get a full hd phone for approximately 220€ (about 290$), and that is why i am interested in buying China phone.
i will have to think a bit and search the internet, whether it is worth buying cheap phone and hooping for best, or spend at least twice as much money for Nexus 4, Sony Xperia Z, or other flagship devices.

I use dx.com for my China gadget shopping. They are trustworthy and have a decent support staff as well as forums. They accept paypal. The only downside is sometimes the shipping can be slow but anything shipping from Hong Kong is generally slow. They have name brand Android phones as well.
i am also interested in buying umi x2, iocean x7, or t he jiayu g4 advenced, but the problem is also the availability, and the release dates are not actually unknown.
and about the dx.com i must agree they are trustworthy, buty normally it takes long to receive your staff, but the problem is they do not have so many phones like other sites.

I buy paypal payment 250'87 total EUR total no joke. I get the phone about ten or twelve days later does not do what is advertised is 1920 * 1080 1270 * 920 is less, plus wifi does not work and tells me what I have to do is install the rom again, as I to have to do that to a newly purchased mobile trying it yourself. Well I tell you what I say I want to return smoothly to send it to an address and how do I have to send also want a 32 gb sd Tarje tells me to pay it and send it to me. I tell you all that I leave as requested on the page and tell me you do not need it with the email is enough. I send the phone on May 10, 2013, will arrive on May 24 and did not pick right now is in the post office waiting sheizen by will. I think i can tell you something, I think there must something made you misunderstanding, i made two orders in chinapadmall.com, they response very fast and reply my every email and live chat, maybe the email sent to your junk box? it seem the live chat time from China time 9:00~18:00, you can try to see and try again. and even over 45 days, they accept return and refund, don't worry. one of my friend experienced it. it is better you tell him your order number first, so they can confirm soon. when refund the money, you must will get a coupon as a compensation( my friend got the coupon, hope the same as you).
and by the way, if they didn't answer you, how did you sent back the phone? where you got the return address?

address gave me Jerry or so chatting calls himself. So far I have sent the phone or returned the money. On Friday Jerry said the chat today I would give the tracking number, but I ask you and I closed the conversation. No I think I have been scammed, and the address to which returned the phone was not the same that came in the package where they sent me the phone. ie they send from an address and returns go to another company and another direction, even in another city. All this is very rare and worst is that after almost 3 months I am still without my money and no mobile. SO I would not buy ANYTHING IN CHINAPADMALL. COM

I think I know where is the problem, the problem is not CHINAPADMALL.COM didn't answer your questions, it seem you returned the phone to the wrong address ( wrote in the package?).
if you purchased the phone via paypal in the store, it is better you follow the refund and return rules of paypal. you should dispute in paypal and ask for return and refund, paypal will show you the address that you should send to. remember never do not send to the address wrote in package. if over 45days, it is better you contact their after service for address before you sending. as I know, many package sent from China the address wrote on package are address of POST AGENT COMPANY, not the real seller, because the agent handle all for seller, seller only need prepare the package for picking up.
i suggest you keep contact CHINAPADMALL.COM , tell him the tracking info, ask him for help for find the package. if sent to the POST AGENT, they also can have it back, but will take many times, it is possible to get your money back, CHINAPADMALL.COM wont let you lost money, as I know my friend got money back and got a coupon for compensation and he made a new order with the coupon( 8USD discount for any item).

I have no problem with china mobile. Nice power for third price of regular brands with good workshop quality. Only problem is support...
.My phone I received from om them was faulty and they have asked me to return it to them. I have done by DHL but it seems to be being held in customs in Shenzhen. Is it legal to return a phone from UK to Shenzhen? Why would customs hold it?

Shipment problems , Google sleeping and UPS stealing . Have a few questions .

So , my father ordered the new nexus 5 for me (From google play) . Ordered it on the 31'st of october , ~27 minutes after the release in Italy.
All was good untill the delivery guy posted on the UPS site (appeared on package tracking) that the delivery adress does not exist . After my father called and gave them more specific delivery details they made a reschedule for the delivery .
This is where the problem starts : Delivery guy came , handed over the package and left . My dad only noticed that the shipping box was empty only after the delivery guy left . Called google , they started an investigation (no word from them since then) , called UPS (they started an investigation as well) , UPS came for the package a couple of days later , took the package , "investigated it" and posted on the package's tracking numer the following :
"11/12/2013 10:30 A.M. Merchandise is missing. UPS will notify the sender with additional details."
Now , my problems , main concerns and questions are :
1) If i informed myself well enough , UPS has sent the shipper (google's deposit in Amsterdam) the details of the case , Google must now send them some proof of what was in the box , with bills etc . and after this UPS must give them the money back in order to send me a replacement . Am I right about this ?
2)How much time is the whole process from point 1) going to take ?
3)Is it even possible for me (actually my father since he used his credit card) not to get a replacement/refund ?
4)If they are going to issue a replacement , is it going to take priority in delivery since I should have had the phone in my hands no later than nov. 8th ?

Dude only Google and UPS can aswer those questions you ask. How can anyone here know how fast this issue will be resolved? I hope it will be settled soon for you and good luck

Well if Google locks and disables the missing phone it will be resolved very soon i hope, and they will send another phone asap i guess.

Well , not so ASAP since they have not responded since the 6th of nov.

I haven't run into this issue specifically - but i've had experience and see situations with other companies/products and UPS, very similar to this. From my experience, getting you a new device will depend specifically on the company and UPS. I would think being that it's Google, you'd think they would be faster than some mom'n'pop shop.
I'd say it should be about a month from when the error was noticed (you getting your empty) package but seeing that they haven't replied since the 6th, you're SOL my friend.
Patience and frustration is all you have.

Well , The only thing that is making me think I'm not SOL is the last status update from UPS (highlighted with blue in my this topic's first post , status update was posted in the tracking option on the UPS site on 12 nov.) .
Other than that I fell like s*it and I'm extremly frustrated now .

That's true - that's a positive thing to see. I guess I overlooked that it said the 12th. Then it sounds like it's just taking longer than expected. Figuring out where a missing device went worth that amount, is something to investigate.
Hope you get a device soon!

please help with a terrible recall procces

i have been in a 4 months of a very very bad customer attention with a tablet recall. I started the procces in august (ticket number 49440219) and i had to do it by phone because the country that i am living now is not listed there (i bought the tablet at wen york)....this is the worse process i have ever been.
Any of their agents can`t even register my recall process beacuse i am not in a listed country and the excuse is that their emails cannot receive an attached photo. i sent it over like 6 or 7 times. 4 months of waiting with no new answers (the only one is that my request doesn`t even started) in all this time, and the only thing that i can do is call again, and again..and no new answer, their agents, the only two agents sandra (who was vey kind but cannot do anymore) and daniel (this is the one that tell me that there is only one two persons now for recall), don´t know anything at all, and just keep me saying that emma, their supervisor will call me back, but never happens that and i told them to write me an email which never happens neither.
can you guys tell me please where i can put this compliant properly even beyond nvidia maybe??
to help others, i started to write them of twitter and facebook, twitter was faster, they give this canal for complaint https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/chat/chat_launch now i am waiting for a response. this is the only way that apparently is working, if i received my tablet, i will let you know. The recall procces is managing by steerycicle company and the said they cannot do anything beacuse nvidia doesnt tell them anything about the non listed countrys.
the emails i write:
i have to start to write to uk and spain NVIDIAShieldTablet <[email protected]> and they were the only one that actually response me by email
the us team are that never response by email:

[email protected]
non of them can call me to my cellphone, i think they don´t know how to make international calls or they are not allowed (i have to find my self the right code of usa and spain or uk for them to call outside their countries)

A serious issue on how xiaomi working in India...!!!!!

Just saw a thread on xiaomi Indian community and I thought it should be shared among all the users worldwide so it should be view and these kinda matters raise among the companies.

As you can read by the title.. This company is loosing all the grounds and their promises among the customers. As it is said extreme growth made you mad and your madness will be the reason of your fall. Same thing going to happen with MI.
I have ordered poco f1 in "MI turn 5 "sales with pre payment. 3 days I awaited for my product to be deliver but they were not evrn concern regarding the delivery.. On 3 day I called their customer services and spokesman told me that this product is out of stock. I asked them to deliver my product as it is paid and the time I was booking it was in the stock. After 2 days I called them and they said that complaint has raised, it will be delivered with few extra days. Even at that time I was convinced... After that m keeping calling and chatting in their online support and both of the personal are telling me different stories.. Suddenly they post that my "address is not serviceable" I asked them what the hack is that but like wise their replies.. They said its technical issue and it will not effect my order. I was waiting and waiting and they just had one thing that our team will conatch with you but no one called back or gave me proper reply. Today after 7 days of my order I talked with the chat support and that guy told me that my product will be shipped tonight and they are putting in express delivery.. I was so relived but after 2 hours one of the customer care representative called me and said that they are cancelling my order as they are not delivering in my place... I was so shocked, they said my money will be refunded but does that make any sense. I contact with the chat support and they said sir I have checked and your product will be ship.. Like wow... One person saying cancelled and another is saying shipping.
Now I want to know this from this NO.1 company.. Are we fool that whatever crap you will present to us we will take it
1.when the product was out of stock how did i order it and how come they booked it and took the money
2. If my place was not in service how come it was not showing at the time of delivery..
3. After knowing that the estimated time of delivery is already crossed, suddenly how come the place is not serviceable.
4. Even if they refunding my money, what about the interest they should pay on keeping my money in their account for last 7 days.
5. Like me don't know how many people have booked it and with how many people they have did it and that much amount of money they got in their account and after 7 days earning all the interest, they just refunding. Like this they are earning their revenue and making their brand no 1. As its seriously an offence. We Indians aren't fool but their foreign countries now earning like this way so they can sale low price phone without concerning about the customers.
Now I leave it on you guys. If you think m right kindly support me show them that what they did is not negotiable and we aren't the one whom they can take granted..
M. Posting all the screenshots regarding my order and yea one more thing m living in Jaipur and I don't think it's African jungle where hard for them to reach
