[APP]Single Player Game Transmitter client for Windows Rt - Windows RT Development and Hacking

I have modified the Single Player Game Transmitter client video renderer to D3D and DDRAW to increase performance on Windows RT.
http://vorphalack.com/
"The aim of this project is to allow remote desktop tramission for interactive 3d applications such as games or designer tools.
Actually, this is a small open source counterpart of streammygame.com, without any restrictions"
Single Player Game Transmitter is a free alternative to RDP and Splashtop on Windows RT for lan game play.
Benefits include:
1.low latency
2.high fps(60fps at 800*600 on Surface Rt)
NOTE:
1.the width should be 512,640,768,1024,1152,1280 for ddraw mode on Surface Rt
2.the client depth must be 16.for best performance both capture depth and client depth should be 16

I'm having a heck of a time getting this to work. Has anyone else had any luck?

Doesn't work as expected. I'm using JBroken SurfaceRT, I can run and connect it to the server in LAN but I receive a pink/green tonality stream from the server. I also installed the lastest xvid drivers on the server side PC.
Any suggestions?

You have to find out what's exactly the server address that is running the service. If server and client are on the same router and you don't remember what local IP has been assigned to your PC (server) just log in to your router main page (in most cases 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and look for LAN options, there should be all machines with the respective addresses. Once you obtained the server IP, just put it in the client gui.

Also:
192.168.0.255
192.168.1.255
My router is on 1.255 as is my grandparents and 1 of my mates. I have had a router which was on 192.168.0.8 before too.

And don't forget all those Fritz!boxes with 192.168.178.1

Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

Thank you soo much for this wonderful Piece of app
On my device only d3d runs good, ddraw doesnt give proper Output. Also i have to set Server's capture depth to 32 and client's to 16 to see anything. As Video grabber only
d3d and gdi is supported, dshow is not. "game mode mouse" is completely inverted (left and right are switched & up and down also xD ). Also in 1024x768 the Controlling mouse-pointer is about 40pixel under the controlled mouse. (so you have to click a bit more downside than you actually want). And last but not least, a full Screen mode would be awesome. (all the games, where you move the map via mouse2border are hard to Play in a window xD
Quality and delay are AWESOME, much better than any remote-method!!! Please Keep on working on this Project, it makes our surface MUCH more usable!
Cheers

P.S.: 1 noobquestion: why does this work flawless on single-Player games (i.e. Wc3-TFT), but gives blackscreen on multiplayer games. (i.e. LoL).
i know it is called single Player game Transmitter, just wanted to know the technical Background...

PC application displayed on phone?

Currently there's a freely available tool called remoteDSP.exe which allows you to not only see but also interact with your Pocket PC/Windows Mobile device via the PC's keyboard and mouse using a small display screen.
If this tool can translate mouse and keyboard input and send them via a USB connection to a paired Win Mob device it should be relatively painless to do a reverse version where the Win Mob device attaches to a pre-defined active window on the PC (Windows Media Player etc) and displays it on the mobile screen should it not?
I know the screen resolution will be drastically different but on a 320x240 mobile screen you can still effectively display Windows Movie Player at one quarter of the size of an 800x600 screen.
The only issue I can see is that the software on the phone would need to hook into a PID or a Process Name somehow.
Any ideas if there's already software to do this?
That functionality is built in by Terminal Services client and Remote Desktop.
And you can even do this over the internet with LogMeIn.
So you can specify a window to get just that window displayed on your PPC? logmein displays the entire screen, not a specified application.
As an example of the usage I'm looking for I'd like to be able to I have a monitoring program for a game and I'd like to have the game fullscreen on the PC but have teh monitoring program running in the background. The PPC would hook into the monitoring app and display it on the PPC.
For all remote viewing/controlling purposes I use VNC (in the "ultra" version) it has a lot of advantages over other solutions:
-multi platform: windows, windows mobile, palm, j2me, linux, bsd and a lot more
-free (and open source in some versions!)
-FAST!! (I tested a lot of different solutions for a company I temped at and nothing beats VNC)
If you have any questions about it I'd be happy to help.

Yes, of course you can do that with VNC.
VNC, logmein and terminal services are all good options. For local connections, there are some other apps, but I recommend these three to begin with.

I hope your screenshot is just an example vijay555. Using dreamweaver remotely must be a mayor pita. The only thing worse than that would be using Photoshop I guess
It is just an example screenshot, I generally use NVU/Notepad++

This is what you're after: http://www.innobec.com/en/index.php
It's SideWindow - it makes your cradled PPC into a second windows monitor so that you can extend your desktop to it.
From the product description this...

Suspicious? me? naa..
Well the thing is that i downloaded .rar from a torrent site, i have unbelievably bad connection on 3g so i figured would be easier to get bunch of apps at once with broadband, arent most of the apps free anyways? well, the second i can get paid apps here at sweden, I'll buy the apps i like, it sucks to have old and unstable versions of these awesome apps.

Nice to hear.
How is the user experience? Can you actually do some work or is it the kind of stuf you show to your friends cause it's cool?
I mean I need rdp and I'm struggling to make a choice between the x10 (very nice price with my company's provider) or the Motorola Milestone (droid) at full price but with the nice hardware keyboard. I travel a lot and some times I really need to rdp a client's server and do some stuff, usually it's writing some sql queries in 15 min sessions. It would be great if I could leave the laptop at home and make do with an android phone.
In your experience, will rdp on the X10 be decent enough to get the job done ASAP and get back on the mojitos?
Use LogMeIn Ignition

If it’s on your computer, it’s in the palm of your hand. Remotely access computers from your Android device, and never worry about leaving anything behind. Directly control your Mac or PC, all your apps and all your files – with a simple click.
This is a paid application. I have tested on my X10 to access my office pc. working fine.

[Q] Phone hacked/unauthorised access?

Hi XDA,
So I've have my Milestone 2 for two days and installed only a handful of apps from the Market.
However I just noticed my data usage is ~350MB with most of that usage from "Gallery" - as listed in Data Manager in Settings.
Looking in the Gallery app and there were about 6 images of chinese characters from websites like sina.cn that I didn't put there.
And their creation date was from a day ago at 4:34am :/
Any ideas and/or suggestions?
Thanks!
PS: Stuffed up original thread; this is not "[Resolved]"

Can anyone shed any light or advice?

Can someone suggest somewhere else this might be better asked if this is not the ideal place (Questions & Answers)?
Firewall your phone
Firewall your phone;
Airscanner Mobile Firewall
A Full-Strength Personal Firewall for Your Windows Mobile/Pocket PC handheld. Airscanner Mobile Firewall for Windows Mobile Pocket PC is a low-level, bi- directional, packet filtering firewall that examines all incoming and outgoing TCP/IP traffic. This personal firewall ensures that data is permitted based on access control lists that you select from a set of predefined filters, or from filters that you create yourself. The firewall parses packets as they come in (or go out) on the wire or over the air, and it matches the data against a rule set of ports and IP addresses, URLs, etc. Unlike some other products, Airscanner Mobile Firewall is not a simple port blocker or application port monitor. It is a true, full strength NDIS firewall powered by a custom-written packet driver for Windows CE .NET.

Q: What is this kind of picture?
A: It's a 2D barcode.
In general, 2D barcodes can encode more data than 1D barcodes of the same size and can encode the same amount of data in much less space.
Q: How can I use this picture on my phone?
A: Go to i-nigma.mobi on your mobile. I-nigma will automatically identify your handset type, download and install i-nigma. Replace .mobi with .com to goto their main website for more info
Hope this helps,

Until now I was sure that a Milestone 2 is running Android.
cobo_, search the market for droidwall or similar. I don't think that it has same features as Win products but maybe it's useful for you to avoid such things in the future. For your actual request: sorry, no clue.

Thanks stepsch, I had no idea there were firewall-type apps for Android
I'll definately give DroidWall a look at.

[Q] VNC server for the OPO?

Hi,
Has someone got some kind of VNC server to work on the OPO?
I have tried a lot of apps, the best result that I got was this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The connection is working, though: I can interact with the screen, but that's what it looks like...
What I'm actually looking for is a way to stream the screen of my OPO to my tablet or to my PC, since that'd be a great way to see what's on the screen when I use my phone to record videos on a tripod, for example. To be clear, I'd like to get the same result that Adam Outler has in this video (minute 9:15), using my tablet instead of his M8 and the OPO instead of the Galaxy NX.
The problem seems to be the server on the OnePlus One, since it almost works the other way around (the OPO, as client, can connect to the tablet, used as server, even though the screen is upside down and I can't see what's in the camera). Connections from the Android devices to the PC work fine. The results that I got while trying to connect to the OPO are consistent between my PC (running ArchLinux with KDE, so I'm using the KDE desktop sharing applications) and my tablet (with VNC viewer).
The apps that I've tried to get a server going are:
- droid VNC Server
- VNC server by Onecent (Adam Outler's choice)
- VMLite VNC server (this one was reported to be working by some swedish user on some swedish site, but I got to the same result as the other two: the screenshot above)
- Reverse VNC Server
I got to the same results with the first three ones (connection established, commands work, but no screen), while I had more issues with the last one, but that could've very well been my fault, since I don't quite get how it's supposed to work.
Thanks for the help!
PS: Probably irrelevant, but my setups are:
- OPO running the latest PA with Franco Kernel
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with custom ROM based on stock Android 4.4.2 & TW
- PC with ArchLinux and KDE applications, both as server and client, they seem to work (at least the client) when trying to connect between PC's
PPS: My wifi and my internet connection both suck, if that can be relevant to something else besides the latency between client and server, which doesn't worry me too much.
Edit: Alternative for viewing the screen remotely from a PC: https://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/
Not very usable, I don't know if it's better than nothing...

[CLOSED][APP][Need-Help][6] VPN-Server with "Servers Ultimate Pro" - how to configure?

Hi!
The APP Servers Ultimate Pro is runs perfectly on a Samsung smartphone with Android 6. (alternative free version = Servers Ultimate )
Many servers are integrated there. You may have to install extensions. I have already got some servers up and running.
Actually not a bad thing.
Now I want to try whether a VPN server is possible with it! If so, it would be very cool! I need help with the setting!
1.) The server app also needs a "server.conf" or "server.ovpn" = in which directory does it have to be for the app?
2.) I need help with the correct structure of the Conf and how exactly to address the certificates.
3.) How many ports do I have to activate in the router and can I freely choose them?
Was unnecessary!
PLZ close / delet thread
I've been struggling with some of the configurations. I have the web server up and running with Wordpress. FTP works, IRC runs but I can't seem to get myself admin (OP) status. Email, I can't get it to connect, even with the extended ports above 1024. GIT server works, that's where I'm storing the source for my web site, the using FTP to place it in the www directory for the web server. I'm using the DNS on my HAMMESH network to point everything to the Android TV box that the Server apps are running on.
My goal is to have an Android TV box, that I can plug in to an ARDEN Network to provide a Website, local email, chat, storage sharing for disaster photos. Email is the only thing I can't get around. I also have a Le Potato Arm64 board that has Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, running ISP Config. That is my plan B. I may be better off with this route since it supports a 256GB MicroSSD card. I found an X88 TV box on Amazon that has 4GB and 32GB for $40 US, that may be plan C is I can get the email sorted out. I've tested the connection with Telnet ip_address>2525 and getting the connection refused. If I use the tools inside Servers Ultimate Pro, it talks to the email server, If I issue the EHLO command, it responds. So it appears the email server app may not actually be opening the 2525 port like it's configured to. I may try the proxy server, to see it that can route the traffic to the backplane on port 25
I'm testing against my M88 TV box and I can now test the email
