Suspicious? me? naa..
Well the thing is that i downloaded .rar from a torrent site, i have unbelievably bad connection on 3g so i figured would be easier to get bunch of apps at once with broadband, arent most of the apps free anyways? well, the second i can get paid apps here at sweden, I'll buy the apps i like, it sucks to have old and unstable versions of these awesome apps.

Nice to hear.
How is the user experience? Can you actually do some work or is it the kind of stuf you show to your friends cause it's cool?
I mean I need rdp and I'm struggling to make a choice between the x10 (very nice price with my company's provider) or the Motorola Milestone (droid) at full price but with the nice hardware keyboard. I travel a lot and some times I really need to rdp a client's server and do some stuff, usually it's writing some sql queries in 15 min sessions. It would be great if I could leave the laptop at home and make do with an android phone.
In your experience, will rdp on the X10 be decent enough to get the job done ASAP and get back on the mojitos?

Hello.
i looking for apps to add to my phone, and i really want an imdb mobile app.
After searching i have came to the conclusion that non exists (please correct me if im wrong).
i then found this site
Code:
http://nolanbrown.com/imdb
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
it redirects if you use IE , using chrome it appears to work.
after reading the about bit
"Since being released January 5, 2008, IMDb Mobile has been raved about as one of the best web applications available for the iPhone. It was voted a "Staff Pick" by Apple, made Apple's Most Popular page in Entertainment and in a mere 15 days, IMDb Mobile received more then 20,000 visitors."
it appears it was designed for iphone viewing and i guess the creator set it up to check for the browser and have a blacklist (it appears his blog not updated in some time, maybe chrome wasnt out when the he had the blacklist??? i dunno only guessing) so i assume changing the user agent on one of my mobile browser would make this site visible (unless anyone has a quicker solution).
i dont really want to change the user agent everytime so anyone know a imdb mobile app / quicker solution to use that site.
thank you for your time.
larry.
+1 for a IMDB Mobile App...would definitely be a nice app to have!
I would also like to get one...
Just as an alternative solution you can use the ebook-reader TomeRaider3, as they have the imdb database as a free download on their site (approx. 158mb) to read offline
Will give it a try...but I think an online app would be even better
Nevertheless thanks for your share!
Ascenca
i used to use it
i thought it was rather poor though, and if i remember correctly it is quite limited in what information it gives you.
the proper site works not too bad though.
Just downloaded this for my HD2 its an upgrade of a slightly older one and runs great once you go into the settings and assign a video player for the trailers to play on. In my case i navigated to windows/ windows media player

Why are we suppose to talk about it since it's actually located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619359
Cool, didn't know it was on here too. Didnt want to post a link incase it got in trouble!
Hi guys!
As a lot of other people, I use my PS3 more as a media center / Blu-Ray player, then I'm actually playing on it. Every time I sit down to watch a movie from my media server or a BD-disk, I'm annoyed of how bad the PS3-remote looks. Especially when my beautiful HD2 is always laying next to it.
So:
I was hoping that some of you geniuses here might have the same impression as me, and see the value in a "HD2 PS3 media control"-app, which uses Bluetooth.
I would think that it only needs directional buttons for maneuvering in menus, a OK-button, the "Playstation"-button and the 4 actionbuttons; X, O, [] and /\.
With so many PS3-owners in the world, I'd guess that this application would be quite "sellable" for the developer as well
Cheers, Eirik.
Would like it =D!
HD2 as PS3 media control
Hey

I asked the dev already, Mobile Remote does not work with HD2 bluetooth stack.
I made a little "mock-up" of how this might look, and would enable us to control most of the PS3's functions with the HD2's brilliant touch screen.
Unfortunately I was neither allowed to post the picture, the link or even put the link to the picture in a code-box :-/
Anybody? ... anything?

anyone tried gremote?
New app just popped up, 'Awesome Drop'. You just open the app on your phone, then go to http://labs.dashwire.com/drop and put the access code from the page onto your phone and drop files right into your browser and they get transfered to your phone. No account, just simple file transfer wherever you are.

neat, thanks
useful if you don't have the usb cable with you
This can be used to send files I have to my friends with Android phones. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
This is great, just hope the site is able to stay up from the strain of a lot of concurrent file transfers.
Yeah I've had this for a little while, it's handy for transferring small files, but I noticed it tends to choke/hang on files over 100 megs.
How?

it's a one way app, use 'websharing' or something like that if you want 2-way
Actually quite awesome.
I wish the reverse was possible though.
A tab that you could open and then drop files from a built in file exp. into the drop box.
Well,the only thing that stops me of using this "Awsome Drop" is the lack of Opera.
But that might be the lack of HTML5 support from Opera,rather then the app. and website creators fault thou..Even thou Opera 10.60 was a "giant step" towords "full" HTML 5
heres a video that i did on the application to give users visual on how easy this really is:
Hi agian!
I couldnt wait on Opera Software or the app website too like each other so I downloaded a firefox.paf.exe too the computer I was using yesterday.And it worked like a charm,the only thing Im woundering about is when the "prossesbar" at the website is finished the prossesbar in the app. isnt full.Does the prossesbar installed and running on the phone view an other prosses?Like total amount how many MiB Ive downloaded or how much I can download to my cell before its full?
Just use drop box.... and share folders with friends...

What he said. Plus, you have to pay for it.
I may be wrong, but I believe it will be free and your have to pay a monthly subscription in order to use certain programs. One example is the browser, which will be $5 a month.

Definitely not worth it if you don't use your tab exclusively and have no other, "non-subscription" means of getting stuff done... Microsoft should get off their high horse and just release MS Office for Android already!
is this a remote desktop client or an emulator?

Nothing more than remote desktop. I have no idea why everyone is making such a big deal about it.
Typed by my thumb.
you will be able to use microsoft office for free with this app with storage of 5 gigs i think. The 5.99 subscription will allow you to install programs and more storage space.
I run everything for free currently with Splashtop, I fail to see the point of this.
Can you use Splashtop when you're on a different network than the main computer? Never tried it, only at home when both are using the same network....

Of course you can... have you even looked through the app?
The performance is pretty bad tho unless both the main computer and your tablet are on a fast internet connection.

This tutorial is about turning your android phone into an ip cam. By this method you can use your android phone camera as a security camera. It’s easy. Follow these steps.
1) Download “Ip Webcam” to your android device. It’s free on play stores. You can download it by visiting this link.
2) Start a wifi hot spot with your android device and connect your pc to that wifi hot spot.
3) Open IP Webcam app in your android device.
3) Click on “Start Server”. Application will start a video feed and give you a ip address and a port for that feed.
4) Now place your android device anywhere within the wifi network range.
5) Open your web browser in the PC. Enter the IP Address and the port in the address bar. (This is the Ip Address that was generated by the IP Webcam application before). As seen on above screen shot it is http://192.168.3.198:8080.
6) Now click on use java browser plugin like the above image. If it asks for your permission please give permissions for the application.
That’s all. You can now see the live video feed from your android device from your pc.
Thanks for reading. Reps and bumps are accepted. :yes::yes:
