Hello I was hoping someone here could help me with some info I'm currently running CM7 on my desire s, however a lot of apps aren't available for my phone anymore as it's still 2.3 ginger bread so I was wondering which is more stable CM9 or CM10 and what's currently there main issues?
Thanks in advance.

I've been using cm9 for a couple of weeks and so far no problems. Tried flashing cm10 and it didn't flash due to screen types so I'd say go with 9.

CM10 is under active development, so bugs that do show up are likely being worked on. The big issue still left is, as mentioned above, the support for devices with a different panel than most desire s.
I would recommend cm10, if it boots on your phone Then again, the best thing would probably be, try one, make a nandroid backup, try the other one, then you can still restore the first one if you decide it was better / more stable etc.
Which is the best custom rom for pico in terms of gaming? or Stock is the best?
CM9 is good for gaming?

My question is can CM9 run games as smooth as in stock rom..(Heavy games)...Because maybe CM9 wud not have enough free memory...
Yes, it has 406mb of internal space (by default) and ~200mb free ram normally.
I play Dead Trigger smoothly on cm9. See my signature for detailed info.

Besides the fact that you will get as many different answers as there are roms, a little search would have showed you this:

So please read and post there.

Depends on what Rom you are using and the phones I guess, GB is a good OS for gaming and ICS is terrible on smaller devices, I have infinity Rom ICS on my Xperia U and Gained over 1000 points in antutu benchmark. So for me stock Rom was not the best option for gaming.

Benchmarks on other roms are higher than that on stock Rom so obviously they are better in gaming compared to stock Rom
You can try kernel 3 and soon overclock will come so our phone will just fly

Ya dude overclocking is perfectly safe within certain limits Your phone will not blow up
Well actually not yet for our phone, maybe you are not checking out the cm10 thread, there was pretty close to fried nands , so it's kind a unsafe at least for now.

Well, for me,installing cm9b11,was the best for gaming...the best in terms of speed(less lag than stock),graphic clarity was outstanding...
If games 3d did not work as the way as expected..I would probably have gone back to stock...
Having said that some intro videos don't work or atleast very very slowly..video decoding problem still is present in cm9 and 10...
cm9 htc a310e
Ive always considered Stock ROM useless. It could not run simple games like Agent Dash. When i switched to Custom ROM i could run all games.
....
jaggy rom is betr for gaming...
nd overclocking doesn't really help for gaming ...
Lots of heavy games such as MW,GTA VC,MC 3,FIFA 12,SG are running without lag on stock for me.
I would prefer cm9
You dont have to particularly choose and download roms exclusively for gaming. Instead you can tweak whatever rom you have and boost your gaming performance. Just google for such tweaks. Why waste time downloading the same iterated versions of the rom...
Tweaks don't help as much as changing roms...

Trust me,cm9 is much better...for example,in gta,if you tweak resolution and other stuff above a limit, you'll surely experience lag...however,that's not the case with cyanogen..it will also lag but at a very high level

Oh,any special scripts you using?
No...but disabling logcat will surely increase performance..
But make sure that the games run on ics..
cm9 htc a310e
How to disable logcat?
What is the most stable rom
being used fo P6210?
tia,
Cheers,
I haven't used any custom roms yet but from what i've been reading.. hmmmm paranoid android maybe the best.. this is from what i have read.. (please dont take it seriously those who use other custom roms) but for me.. its good to stay stock.. fast smooth yet very simple.. your choice man.. i just hope you dont damage your tab.. cheers!

Re :
I'm a happy user of CM10 !
At the first glance, I was skeptical about losing stock recovery to CWM since I have always been depending on sammobile releases stock ROM to update my device be it from my own country or others. (with this being said, I already did some research on how to get back to stock ROM )
But, I must say CM10 is the best ROM I have ever used so far :good:

But sir.. as i have read from the CM 10 thread.. there a problems that comes with it.. i wont specify it all but can you enumerate some problems that you encountered so far.. thanks!

I have used both CM10 and Paranoid Android 2.50 but both we're not as fast as Stock ICS ROM.
CM10 made a lot of things laggy including applications and games that were pretty much seamless on stock.
Paranoid was faster than CM10 in terms of navigation and usage as a normal phone/tab, but when it comes to intensive use, both CM10 and PA2.50 suffers.
So I suggest you use the Stock ICS ROM with some tweaks. PIMP MY ROM for example is a good choice. Seeder is a nice addition and Greenify will take you all the way to the top.

Well, apart from the smoothness is slightly slower than the stock ICS when playing games as per what's the above reply, i havn't encounter any major problems.
A few things that i can highlight so far are :
1. Wifi is more stable than stock ICS. I can stay connected from 6pm all the way to 8am the next morning. Back then using ICS, sometimes the wifi will just lost and I have to reconnect to the router in my house.
2. Despite the stable wifi, the battery consumption using wifi is worst than using stock ICS.
3. Data connection is a little unstable when it comes to changing HSDPA mode to EDGE mode. Sometimes have to restart the device.
Anyhow, apart from the above issues I am happy with this ROM currently. I'm just bored using stock ICS anyway. Haha.
