Here is my question:
I am trying to flash UnKnown V1.8.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250573

You need the complete. I believe the update is only for people upgrading from a previous unknown version, like 1.7 to 1.8.

Its also the wrong thread

ROM: ViperC2 3.1.3
Baseband version: 16.22.20.03U_16.11.20.24_M
Build number: 3.19.401.101
The problem is that I cant use the RUU: RUU_VILLEC2_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.11.401.110_Radio_16.12.20.02U_16.05.20.16_M2_release_263510_signed.exe since this is older that what I currently have.

[Q] help me to update

XDA Greetings friends, I have a HTC ONE X AT & T with the following specifications:
Unloket
Avoid PVT Ship S-off rl
CID-11111111
Hboot-1.14.0002
Radio-0.19as.32.09.11.2
openDPS-v29.1.0.45.0622
eMMC-boot.

My question is this:
I can? Place a cooked ROM with android 4.2.2 and Sense 5?, Having HBOOT 1.14? eye now I'm on android 4.0.4 manufactures, I have the SuperCID, Unlocked bootloader, root the phone and installed the TWRP Recovery
Or did I have to apply a RUU (3.18.502.6) to be on HBOOT 2.14??? and so to upgrade to android 4.2.2???
If I apply the RUU'll have to repeat the process bara release the bootloader, root and install the Recovery?
Thanks mates!
excuse my bad English
You can go ahead and install a custom Sense 5 Android 4.2.2 with your current setup. You'll need to install the Beastmode kernel though or you'll suffer signal loss and reboots. The other option is to upgrade to the 2.15 firmware package.

ok I understand correctly, if it does not work for my rom Kernel 4.2.2 Beastmode more, as I get to the 2.15 firmware upgrade package?
Very Grateful for your previous answer : Bueno:
Install the ROM and the Beastmode kernel together and you'll be fine.

When you flash a ROM (with S-off) both the ROM and kernel are replaced, so it doesn't actually matter what ROM and kernel you are coming from.
Sense 5 custom ROMs will install fine on any hboot. But some folks will get signal drops and random reboots. Solution is to either flash Beastmode kernel or flash the 2.15 firmware.

HBOOT 1.29.0000

Updating firmware is not possible with S-ON. You'll need to go for S-off with the wire trick.

Needs
- s-off to install radio and firmware
- firmware 2.15
- kernel included in the rom
- hboot ...this is redundant. hboot is the same as firmware
- radio 1.35a. if you don't install this radio you won't have HSPA/HSPA+ mobile data, you will be limited to 3G (UMTS) speeds.
install procedure
- install recovery from OP (or official TWRP 2.7.0.0)
- flash firmware 2.15 (if needed)
- flash radio 1.35a
- full wipe
- flash ROM

If you had MaximusHD check your hboot again. MaximusHD requires 2.16 hboot and most of the ROMs are for 2.15. You might need either to search only for ROMs made for 2.16 (these are fewer) or to downgrade hboot to 2.15 in order to flash majority of the ROMs. Also for hboot 2.16 it is needed a special modded recovery, the official TWRP is not OK
If you want just Liberty, then you have to be sure you choose in Aroma Installer the 2.16 hboot and I think you need to use the same recovery you used for MaximusHD. Sorry but you didn't specified from start that you're on hboot 2.16. I would have told you that in this case you should keep the recovery you used for MaximusHD

I think liberty is dual hboot compatible according to the author, I had installed on hboot 2.16 and it worked fine.

No, you're fine to go as you are. Liberty is the single ROM as I know, that has in Aroma installer option for 2.15 or 2.16 hboot. So you could use with your current one as well, no need to downgrade. 2.15 will be needed if you want to flash other ROMs, mainly AOSP KitKat ones

I'm sorry man, i've got a question! I'm S-ON HBOOT 2.15. Before flashing that rom i had CM 10.2. Few days ago i decided to try this one and when aroma started i has so happy. During the installation aroma asked me to install the radio 1.35.... for LTE data connection and i did it....but now i realize why my connection data stay at everytime only on G. Is that the reason?? I am 1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L , is that because i have no any 3G H H+ data connection?? How can i fix it?? Can you please help me??
Yes, this is the reason. Being S-On, you cannot flash radios. Aroma doesn't know that and tries to install but it can't (and doesn't give an error either I think). Based on what you said, you're still on 1.11 radio and you cannot have mobile data speeds higher than UMTS with that radio. You will need 1.35 radio for that.
This is valid for Liberty ROM only. For other ROMs your radio is ok and you could reach higher speeds
As I previously said, only way is to try one of the methods to gain S-Off and then you can flash that radio. There's no other way unfortunately

[Htc one s ] : Flash CyanogenMod ROM with HBOOT 1.06

Hi,
I would like to Flash CM rom on my HTC one s. it's already rooted and S-Off
HBOOT version 1.06
CID : 11111111
MID : PJ4010000
The problem is that the higher recovery i can flash on it is TWRP 2.6.3, i can't flash a higher version.
And everytime i flash any version of CM it doesn't work.
On CM website they say : The minimum version of recovery that can be used to install CyanogenMod on this device is: ClockworkMod 6.0.4.8 or TWRP 2.7.0.8. See this page for more information.
they also say : The following HBOOT versions are supported by CyanogenMod 10.1-11.0: HBOOT 2.13.0000, 2.15.0000, 2.15.4444. Devices with older bootloaders should have their firmware updated before attempting to install CyanogenMod.
So i tried to flash 2.7.0.8 and higher but nothing works.
My intuition is that i should upgrade the firmware to allow the right recovery version but everywhere i read that HBOOT 1.06 is the best and that i should keep it.
So before i make a mistake, could anyone help me on matter.
PS: feel free to ask me for logs or error messages.
My best.
