well, depends on what apps you freeze,it really help in saving battery in standby time, besides freezing and remove apps,'' greenify'' is nt bad,it help u freeze active apps but once u use ur apps,it unfreeze ur apps again, saving alot of battery.
my phone 's battery only consume 1% though out all night. Of course,u have to root first to get the advantage.ps: (i never use power saving mode, and display always set to automatic)

My phone consumes about 12% overnight (using 1 of 3 power saving modes) which is terrible! I will wait for Cyanogen or other Custom rom , until then i think it is not worth to have root without changing of rom. If you want please give me some advices to increase battery life (without root if it possible)

i don't know other ways to conserve battery without using root,i thk the basic(off wifi,2g,etc) u already know. just keep the background activity to the minimum. don't waste time on task killer or 3rd party battery saver, they are useless and consume more battery(in my experience)

Get the app BetterBatteryStats. Run it for a day, use your phone like you usually would. Next day, look at the stats the app gives you.
Also, read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827676
I, too, had a mysterious battery drain problem and tried for days to pinpoint the culprit. Turned out to be the sd card. I reformatted the card and the drain was gone.

Best way to save battery drain is to be rooted dude.
Install cpu-no frills (or set cpu) and select maximun spped to 1,2 and minimum speed at 312Mhz in ondemand and cfg.
Choose your network mode at 2G
Brithness at minimum or a half an it's for sure that your phone will be 2 days longer

[Q] What is considered normal screen battery percentage for 7.7?

My screen battery percentage is around 70%. I am wondering if that is normal because on a screenshot I saw in another thread, the person's screen % was in the 40s. If it isn't normal, can someone help me with bring the the battery usage of the screen down? (My battery is being drained and I was wondering if it was the issue with the screen .) And sorry if I seem very noobie >_<.
The higher your screen percentage the better it is because it tells nothing else is draining your battery significantly. At 40%, there are other things that are running your battery dry aside from screen.
You could post a screen shot for others to see and advice.

If you're rooted you can always clear battery stats in CWM. Some devices appear to perform better. Also check what's running in the background (processes). Disabling things like GPS can save battery. If you use TiBu, freezing unneeded apps can free up power and resources. If you venture into that, I would suggest doing one at a time to avoid freezing apps that your tab needs running. Google/search forum as I'm sure others have posted their experiences.
Just a few random thoughts....

I notice android media process consume your android battery. I am also wondering about android media and server process in my GT- 6800 with paranoid 2.55. Here are the process that help me out
try to delete all you music or picture files and back it up to you pc
unistall the game and try to install game one by one to see which game will consume your android media process
using terminal emulator to disable android process media. I refer to this site; http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=37199
1) have Android SDK installed on your laptop
2) enable debugging on your *rooted* device
3) connect it to you laptop via USB
4) adb shell
5) su
6) pm disable com.android.providers.media/com.android.providers.media.MediaScannerReceiver
It works for me and now I have no media process in system and media server consume reasonable memory. Thanks

My tablet is rooted, but I don't know how to clear battery stats. However, I am currently using Battery Monitor Widget Pro and I see the calibration tab. Once again, I have no idea how to use the calibration thing on this app. And I disable GPS all the time, unless I really need to use it, which is hardly ever. As for TiBu, I don't know what that is. Is that Titanium Backup?

If you have CWM installed then there is an option (from the menu) to clear your battery stats. If you don't have CWM then please download from the "development" section.

[TIPS] Long Lasting Battery.. if battery drain fast

If you face problem with battery.. draining like hell..
then these tips are for you....
1. Battery Calibration
2. Control Apps
3. Device Setting
1. Battery Calibration
Don't use any application..
Just charge your battery till 100%.. (if stuck on 99% for long time.. no problem) just Restart your phone
without remove charger..Important
after restart (battery show 60 to 98%. leave it on charge again till 100% + 2 hrs. more
Then remove from charger & use phone until battery drain to 0% and switch-off itself
Don't recharge between 100 to 0%.. then try to restart at least 3 time.. to sure drain battery completely
now connect your phone to charger.. after 10 minutes start your phone.
but don't remove your charger till battery goes 100%...Important
(sometime it take more than 4-5 hrs. so better in night) When battery goes 100% ...now you done Calibration..
Technically..
on every restart Android reset Battery (by wipe battery status)
So.. on 100% Android make Maximum level - on 0% minimum level
P.S. Do this calibration on every ROM flash or at-least one time a month..
2. Control Apps
Some Application consume battery do much..
i.e. Facebook, Youtube, Maps, Whatsapp, Viber, Yahoo! Mail / Messenger, Skype, Hotmail.com, etc.
so when you don't use these apps (running in background) kill them from
setting > apps > RUNNING click on apps > Stop..
Better use Browser Bookmark instead applications
i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Outlook,
It help to save your RAM also..
3. Device Setting

lowest screen timeout
Close WiFi if no need
Close Data Conn. if no need.

Also you can use, deep sleep battery (free or pro) to reduce the number of screen off wake ups.
this will help you to prolong the battery quite a fair bit.

[Q] i9300 heating problem

Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with my Samsung GT-I9300(Galaxy SIII) device.
The problem is each time i install some custom ROM (no matter if the kernel original or not is), my CPU is getting very hot extremely fast, even if i'm not using apps that can use a lot of memory/CPU.
Please tell me what the kind of problem is it and how to get rid of it.
Thanks

Try
1)Turning down the brightness
2)Turning off un-needed apps properly
3)Dont leave your android screen on when not sitting on it
4)Take out SD-Card (when not needed)
5)Dont play on your android while charging
6)Change wallpaper

No, it doesn't help. I've stopped all the processes every time i stopped using it and so on, but it's heating evenso. [And the check-programm shows that most time CPU was used fully-4 cores, 1,4GHz]

The most interesting that it's not a phone problem. When I install some kind of stock OS (no matter if it's XXEMG4 kernel or XXUFME7 etc.), everything is OK.
BUT DON'T RECOMEND ME TO FLASH STOCK OS! I'M THE CUSTOM OS's FUN!!
Tweak the build.prop for battery related lines...and yea also frequently clear the ram.. And browse the net for prevention of overheating of battery and install the scripts..

No problem with battery. CPU is overheating - I've checked this.
Root your phone and install v6 supercharger. Makes your phone faster and uses less ram so less cpu consumption and less heating

1)As such GREENIFY is the best among all.
2) if u want to save battery while keeping wifi/mobile data on then use an xposed module DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER which constantly puts the device to deepsleep mode while screen off.During deepsleep mode, Wifi, 3G are turned off, background apps are stopped. Therefore, most apps are not working, including Facebook, Google Service, etc,. It then constantly wakes up in order to download email, sync Facebook status, etc,. It's defined by deepsleep frequency and woke up duration. In advanced mode (PRO), you can customize more parameters, including day/night settings, active period, screen timeout, sync strategy, ignored apps, etc.
3) If u want to save battery at the cost of performance (if a little low performance is not an issue for u then u can use SETCPU to low cpu frequency of ur phone hence saving battery and u can increase the frequency to normal while doing performance intensive tasks like gaming and multitasking.
My magnus is not giving a well battery backup..1year and 8 month is completed to my mobile... It switche on and off at anytime and % of battery downs fastly...is it posdibiloty of expiring of battery within 2 year ?? Or what is the problem can you tell me plz...

[Q] Help! Google app is draining my battery!

Hi guys,
In the last few days google app is draining my battery. It is disabled for wake up and keep awake in privacy mode, I tried to calibrate the battery, nothing helps. Even when I put it on flight mode, the draining is insane!
I attached screenshots.
My phone is not rooted, and I cannot root it.
Thank you all in advance!
I uninstalled it. I do not ise the cards and voice assitant plus I am an old fashioned guy, using search function in Chrome. By the way I saw other people having this issue, but don't know if it was resolved.
Yeah same for me, mine has been draining so fast when the phone is idle too! I'm running xnph05q cm11.

Android OS and Android System.. You can't do anything with it.. If you play with them, you'll end up making your system malfunctioning..

As you have not rooted your bacon, only thing I can suggest you is that with the help of Privacy Settings, disable access for wake up and keep awake for the apps which are not oftenly used and also Google Play Services
Battery saver mode disables background services of the apps and lowers done the device performance
Combination of above stuffs can help you increase your battery life to some extend
Your GPS is not always ON as seen from the chart
