[TIPS] Long Lasting Battery.. if battery drain fast - Micromax A110

If you face problem with battery.. draining like hell..
then these tips are for you....
1. Battery Calibration
2. Control Apps
3. Device Setting
1. Battery Calibration
Don't use any application..
Just charge your battery till 100%.. (if stuck on 99% for long time.. no problem) just Restart your phone
without remove charger..Important
after restart (battery show 60 to 98%. leave it on charge again till 100% + 2 hrs. more
Then remove from charger & use phone until battery drain to 0% and switch-off itself
Don't recharge between 100 to 0%.. then try to restart at least 3 time.. to sure drain battery completely
now connect your phone to charger.. after 10 minutes start your phone.
but don't remove your charger till battery goes 100%...Important
(sometime it take more than 4-5 hrs. so better in night) When battery goes 100% ...now you done Calibration..
Technically..
on every restart Android reset Battery (by wipe battery status)
So.. on 100% Android make Maximum level - on 0% minimum level
P.S. Do this calibration on every ROM flash or at-least one time a month..
2. Control Apps
Some Application consume battery do much..
i.e. Facebook, Youtube, Maps, Whatsapp, Viber, Yahoo! Mail / Messenger, Skype, Hotmail.com, etc.
so when you don't use these apps (running in background) kill them from
setting > apps > RUNNING click on apps > Stop..
Better use Browser Bookmark instead applications
i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo Messenger, Outlook,
It help to save your RAM also..
3. Device Setting
lowest brightness..
lowest screen timeout
Close WiFi if no need
Close Data Conn. if no need.
Close Bluetooth if no need.
Close GPS if no need.
try to use dark backgrounds..
Try these tips then tell me how your battery work
Sorry for horrible & terrible English

Also you can use, deep sleep battery (free or pro) to reduce the number of screen off wake ups.
this will help you to prolong the battery quite a fair bit.

yep. it does.
i m doing these things before this post and normally i get 2-2.5 days backup of battery.
However ROM is also a factor. my previous rom used to give me 1-1.5 days(1.5 on very less usage.)
but my current rom is giving me atleast 2 days

I have it cooked into my own ROM (WM6.1, 21051), and over the past 18 hours, power has dropped from full to 75%, with a scattering of use for games and calls.
a hell of a battery drainer....reduced it to 50% in around 10 hrs. with minimum usage..
No way man to drain your battery.
I use it and I have at least 24h stand by 2h of use, 30-45min speak, push mail, also a 1h IMAP account, also weather to 1h update. A lot of alarms, tasks...
And after 24h still have 20%

Your battery drainage, is most likely your 3G or HSDPA connection (that's eating power for sure). S2U2 does not eat that much power.
I have the feeling it uses up lots of power as well. Went from 100 to 0 in a day with minor usage. Will uninstall it and find another one...this sucks
??
Dont work with tom codon WM6.5 rom. It freeze when there's incoming call. Anybody using tom's rom can confirm it?

S2U2 weather updates
Hi,
Does anybody know how to configure S2U2 on TD2 with Touch Sense to update the weather status on the lock screen? In settings I used TF3D variant but seems it is not in sync with weather tab.
Here is part of A_C faq conserning power drain :
Q. S2U2 consumes a lot of power?!
A. Make sure there is no music player application running in the background.
A. Use digital clock without showing the second.
A. Don't use GIF wallpapers.
A. Don't use a folder of wallpapers.
A. Turn off "Show Appointment".
A. Turn off "Show Weather".
A. Turn off "Full-screen Battery on top of wallpaper".
A. Turn off "Don't Suspend Power".
A. Turn on "Don't use Keyboard Hook".
A. Turn on "Ignore screen orientation".
A. If any "auto-rotation" application is installed, add "S2U2" to it's exception list.
A. Disconnect the data connection.
A. Update to v2.14 or later.

Nexus S battery only 10 hours?

I just got my Nexus S on April 12th, don't have many applications installed. My battery only lasts about 10 to 12 hours and I haven't been able to figure out why. I've noticed other people have much longer battery life than this. I have 3G and mobile data disabled and use only WiFi and that too only when I'm home. From the "About > Battery use" place I discovered that Display uses around 50%. I had my brightness settings set to auto always. Today I fully charged it and after an hour or so it was on 83%! I didn't even touch it. It sucks to have an awesome phone and to not be able to use its features because of fast battery drain! please help.
Check email sync ...
Check always sync ...
Check weather sync ...
Check facebook sync ...
Check all syncs
Mine can last up to 2 days
But I don't sync like crazy ...

set everything to black if you can.
what about apps that auto sync? set the interval for sync to be longer

Agreed with ScooterG. Pretty much johnz had a thing against me because of a previous battery thread yesterday.
How do I change sync settings? I thought all syncing was disabled when I turn it off on the widget (the one with wifi, bluetooth, etc.). I have sync turned off from there always and enable it when I'm in a WiFi range.
@zephiK I have a dark wallpaper, I'll try setting brightness to zero.
I unplugged around 8am and now its 12am here and the phone is down to 86%. only 4 hours later. And I didnt use much during those 4 hours. Well 86% after 4 hours is a great battery life! 96-86=10% It gives you (4/0.1) a theoretical battery life of 40 hours !!!
On the battery manager click on the graph to see what causes your battery life to decrease very fast: GPS, Wifi, Awake or Screen on.
I also noticed the battery meter app used quite a bit of energy you should remove it, remove also the task killer it may drain you battery as well.
I'm trying out the suggestions in this thread right now. They seem reasonable. It might be useful for you.

Yes! Thats great battery life! You see, after I made my first post I read somewhere that you should drain the battery completely and then do a full charge. So I kept on playing with it until the phone shut down and then plugged it in before I went to bed. I made the second post after I woke up and didn't realize that at that time the battery life has increased. I havent charged since that post and been using it, the battery is now at exactly 30%. Been running for 17 hours and 45 minutes.
I guess my problem is solved

well, depends on what apps you freeze,it really help in saving battery in standby time, besides freezing and remove apps,'' greenify'' is nt bad,it help u freeze active apps but once u use ur apps,it unfreeze ur apps again, saving alot of battery.
my phone 's battery only consume 1% though out all night. Of course,u have to root first to get the advantage.ps: (i never use power saving mode, and display always set to automatic)

My phone consumes about 12% overnight (using 1 of 3 power saving modes) which is terrible! I will wait for Cyanogen or other Custom rom , until then i think it is not worth to have root without changing of rom. i don't know other ways to conserve battery without using root,i thk the basic(off wifi,2g,etc) u already know. just keep the background activity to the minimum. don't waste time on task killer or 3rd party battery saver, they are useless and consume more battery(in my experience)
Get the app BetterBatteryStats. Run it for a day, use your phone like you usually would. Next day, look at the stats the app gives you.

Best way to save battery drain is to be rooted dude.
Install cpu-no frills (or set cpu) and select maximun spped to 1,2 and minimum speed at 312Mhz in ondemand and cfg.
Choose your network mode at 2G
Brithness at minimum or a half an it's for sure that your phone will be 2 days longer

1)As such GREENIFY is the best among all.
2) if u want to save battery while keeping wifi/mobile data on then use an xposed module DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER which constantly puts the device to deepsleep mode while screen off.During deepsleep mode, Wifi, 3G are turned off, background apps are stopped. Therefore, most apps are not working, including Facebook, Google Service, etc,. It then constantly wakes up in order to download email, sync Facebook status, etc,. It's defined by deepsleep frequency and woke up duration. In advanced mode (PRO), you can customize more parameters, including day/night settings, active period, screen timeout, sync strategy, ignored apps, etc.
3) If u want to save battery at the cost of performance (if a little low performance is not an issue for u then u can use SETCPU to low cpu frequency of ur phone hence saving battery and u can increase the frequency to normal while doing performance intensive tasks like gaming and multitasking.

Tips to For Increasing Battery Life on the Galaxy S9

Sooner or later you will find yourself looking to save some battery life. here are a few ways.
1- Disable Always-On Display
2- Put apps to sleep
3- Lower screen resolution
4- Use Dark wallpaper/ Shorten screen timeout
5- Auto Screen brightness off
6- Turn Wifi off when not in use.
The video shows how to do these if you're not familiar with the settings on the phone. Feel free to add to the list.
Honestly I don't get any better battery life when using the phone at FHD rather than QHD. If anything it seems to me that the software had become so optimized for QHD that it may actually turn out more SOT and general battery life times. But that may just be my experience, not sure

I've yet to see any conclusive evidence that the battery life improves when you lower the resolution. Best argument I've seen for doing this is an improvement in scrolling and animations

And every year I laugh at it because every year people buy the best phone on the market and then make a list of how to disable everything and cripple it so they can squeeze another hour of battery life in.
I get it because I used to be obsessed with battery life but then I realized I have chargers, wired and wireless, everywhere.
Install BK Package Manager and disable all bloatware.
Quick tip for excellent battery life:
1. Go to wifi advanced settings and tell your phone to turn off wifi during sleep unless the phone is charging. ( helps a little)
2. Turn on data saver on your phone (so when ur phone is off it updates using ur data instead of wifi. since wifi is off during sleep if u did step 1)
3. Go into data saver settings and give unlimited data access to specific apps that you use such as Google play services( for account and data backup) messenger, gmail and any other important apps)
4. Go Into your battery settings, under unmonitored apps, remove every app sitting in there. Then go into always sleeping apps, and set everything to sleep except the apps you use the most and want to receive regular notifications for. (So of course Google play services and Samsung services if u use those to back up your data and some messaging apps and mail apps, messenger, snapchat etc)
If you do these steps you are preventing your phone from randomly syncing information. (The biggest culprits being the apps you don't really use such as the Samsung apps like AR EMOJIS, ant services, galaxy app store, etc).
this has saved me significant battery life. Averaging about 8hrs screen on time and get abt 2 days battery with relatively heavy use. (Inbox,YouTube, instagram, snapchat, bleacher report etc).
Hope this helps

Make sure you turn off your Bluetooth before you do that.

You're trying too hard.

And every year I laugh at it because every year people buy the best phone on the market and then make a list of how to disable everything and cripple it so they can squeeze another hour of battery life in.
I get it because I used to be obsessed with battery life but then I realized I have chargers, wired and wireless, everywhere.

battery life degrades overtime tho. this could help down the road.

This is all I really do. Disable those apps and services that I don't use. I agree it's crazy to get a flagship phone to then just turn off a bunch of features that make it a flagship.
Any advise for standby drain? Thats where i seem to be suffering! Even greenify doesn’t help!?

Are you inside a building during most of the standby time? Or anywhere that would cause a weak signal? I found inside large building or places where cell reception is low causes a lot of battery drain during standby

No just no. Feels like i disabled every app there is. 4 hours sot. Maximum 24 hours total time. Draining 10% minimum during sleep if left unplugged for (7 hours) i put every app in sleep. Cant find samsung ar etc in (always sleeping apps tho) i set everything except for messenger. Snap.waze. bbs and spotify in always sleep. Still not sure it will work. Aod on. Auto brightness on.. maybe i shouldn't complain. But when people get 7 hours sot i feel like i need to complain. I had bad battery time with my s7 aswell.

I understand why you would be skeptical. i will try to get a screenshot the next time i have a chance.
Another thing I did notice is screen brightness is one of the biggest battery killers on the phone. Maybe try power saving mode but only use the -10% brightness option that should help a little bit or manage your brightness manually. Hope that helps
I'm pretty disappointed with the battery life on my S9+ to be honest. Today for example, with minimal usage, after unplugging at about 9:30 am I was down to 35% by noon.
I've recharged it and now left it sitting - it is consuming power at a rate of 1% per 10 minutes, just sitting on the table without me using it. I'm at home, with a strong 4G signal, WiFi router is in the same room, and Bluetooth is disabled.
I moved from an LG G6 to this phone because I was tired of the LG hanging and stumbling to do basic things, but at least the battery lasted a little longer - I could sit it on the table and I'd only lose a couple of percent over the course of a few hours.
