[Q] cm10.1 Nightly OTA Update Failed - HTC One S

I have a T-Mobile US HTC One S running cm-10.1-20130312-NIGHTLY-ville
I received an OTA notification for cm-10.1-20130627-NIGHTLY-ville.zip today. I downloaded it and tried to install the ROM using TWRP but every time I do it says it failed.
Can someone please help me with this problem? This is the first time I've done an OTA from CM. Thanks!!!!

Error log look like this?

did you update your firmware for the new kernel?

These are the steps that I'm following:
1. Settings -> about phone -> CyanogenMod updates
2. Click on the download button next to "cm-10.1-20130627-NIGHTLY
3. When it finishes downloading, it gives me a pop up that says:
Apply Update
You are about to upgrade to cm-10.1-20130627-NIGHTLY-ville.zip. If you press Update, the device will restart itself in recovery mode to install the update. Note: This feature requires a compatible Recovery or updates will need to be installed manually.
4. Click on Update
5. Phone reboots into TWRP 2.4.3.0
6. Click on Install
7. Click on cm-10.1-20130627-NIGHTLY-ville.zip (inside of the cmupdater folder)
8. Swipe to confirm flash (tried it a check mark in "Zip file signature verification" and without it)

[Q] CM 10.1.2 on GT-S7500

Hi All,
i'm sorry if there's already a thread about this issue, but i'm not able to find where is it.
My Device: Samsung Ace Plus GT-S7500 - SSN S7500GSMH

I've looked into this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41777667&postcount=720 but it's different version (10.1) and I've CWM updated to latest version.
Any suggest?
Thanks

This should have fixed the problem.
You can try TWRP recovery: twrp-build-3-06052013-trebon.tar.md5
It will ignore assert(*)

I believe the problem is that your bootloader is outdated. As seen in this commit, CM has recently made changes that may not work properly with older bootloaders. Therefore they have added a check to the updater script to make sure that you are on the latest bootloader and the rom will only install if you do. Go into fastboot mode and check what bootloader version you have. If it isn't HHZ11k, you need to install it. You can get it here.

If you download the latest factory image from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#hammerhead
Then extract and flash the Radio (fastboot flash radio radio-hammerhead-m8974a-1.0.25.0.23.img) and Bootloader (fastboot flash radio radio-hammerhead-m8974a-1.0.25.0.23.img)
reboot the phone then boot into recovery and flash as usual with CWM you should be good to go.
will flashing the bootloader wipe my phone? I vaguely remember something about the bootloader that wipes your phone if you changed it. was it oem unlock that I was thinking about or flashing the bootloader?

Sorry for late reply.
I made some progress now. Now everything works nice till the installation ui screen, at installation ui screen it displays nothing and also installs nothing. Do u have any idea about hw to fix that?
No errors? Possibly an issue with update-binary or file structure hard to say without seeing it, can you upload it

Thanks.

are you rooted and modified anything with your system? and i mean anything, even a build.prop edit. xposed?
You removed Google books. Restore it.

I use Xposed framework and I'm rooted. What should I do about it? Restoring books won't really help I guess since I'm not getting OTA anymore

or, to make things easier, find a rooted/stock 4.4.3 rom and flash it via your custom recovery. no need with the headache of everything else that way. if there arent any around(im pretty sure there are) then wait a day or two, there will be
edit..
heres a stock rooted rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/flashable-stock-4-4-3-supersu-t2771010

maybe you can make it better this time
you can try dirty flashing, just make a backup in case.

Or you could just not bother. Sounds like 4.4.3 isn't worth the effort anyway. I'm staying on 4.4.2 since I have no significant issues. We'll see what Google I/O brings.

I have a similar problem. Cant figure out from the logs why the update failed.
First the OTA failed. Then I downloaded the zip and tried to install, that failed as well.

do you have a custom kernel?
Use Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit:

NO. just no.
I'm having the same problem. Twrp is telling me that dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot has unexpected content. I did have elementalx kernel installed, but I flashed the stock 4.4.1-4.4.2 kernel before I tried to install the 4.4.3 update.
I thought you had to be totally stock to actually be able to install the ota. You can get it if you're not stock, but it won't install. In this case, I think what's holding you up is that you have a custom recovery.

That's wrong though. You can install an ota update through a custom recovery, and is pretty normal too. You can't however have a custom kernel or modified system files.
