[Q] [HELP] Trouble restoring the EFS backup - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hi All,
I was using GT-I9003 with XXKPE ROM on 2.3.6 GB.
Rooted the phone and installed CM10 A4 (JB) and it was running fine for 1 month.
Suddenly one day, the phone was stuck in flight mode and cannot connect to the carrier.
When I checked, the IMEI is blank and baseband is unknown. Wifi and other services were working without any issue.
I have a backup of EFS folder taken while installing CM10/Nandroid backup but restoring the files did not help.
Tried manual copy of nvdata file with root explorer, EFS pro but IMEI is still blank.
Moved to stock ROM but still the phone does not take backed up EFS information.
Is there a way to restore IMEI information without motherboard replacement ?
Regards,
Ram

Sorry but need your help too.

You can move to the custom ROM by flashing the XXK** stock rom from odin.

Try to make full reset, reinstall SIM card.
Maybe you lost EFS directory...
Do you have any backup of your system?
Try to go back to stock rom.

[Q] IMEI lost after Heimdall 959W.

Hi everyone, I am trying to restore this phone back to stock 959W using Heimdall for 959W. coming from Slim bean 4.3. Everything was working fine. after restoring the phone I lost my IMEI and baseband. I tried to restore several times, flash kernel and modem. I checked all over and could not find with any degree of success getting the radio working again. I reinstalled Slim Bean and the damn thing is working fine again. wth? Is there a way I can get stock with root back on this phone, or is it a lost cause. at the moment the battery is getting slaughtered and only last 4 hours.
Check your sdcard for a directory called backup (/sdcard/backup). It should contain a few files including efs.tar. Is that file in there?
Thank you for replying, yes I do have a folder called backup, how do I put it back to the phone after I use heimdall again? Right now I put Slim ROM back on so I can continue to use the phone.
Is the efs.tar file inside the backup folder?
Yes it is.

Changed IMEI

Hello XDA!
I've got the I9105P version, and after I've flashed a few rom's, I saw that my IMEI is changed to 0000000000. Although, I can make phone calls and have data connection on my phone. How could I restore my original IMEI? I have it on the back of the phone, with the serial number along.
Please help me!
Thank you!
Hello,
You can try and restore some backup if you have one, It should solve the problem.
If you have a EFS Partion backup, would be better.
Meanwhile see this 2 link:

I hope you will solve it.
Best regards,
Thank you for replying, but I already did what's in the first tutorial. The problem is that when I flashed a custom rom, I didn't knew that I have to backup EFS files(noob). Now, after reading and reading, I know that this is important. I reflashed my stock Rom 4.1.2 and nothing, and then reflashed 4.2.2 ultimate update from sammobile, and still nothing. Is there any other way in restoring my IMEI?
Hey guys! I search a lot in the forum, but unfortunatelly, I don't have the NV Data files in my EFS folder. I think the only solution is to get the phone to a gsm service, that has a Octopus Box.
If you think that I have a solution without this, text me

Cell standby Eating up Battery

Hi all
I recently Flash Blisspop ROM Ver4.0.3 android version 5.1.1 for my N8000, it had been discontinued but there's a lot of good Review about it, and the GodDev sometimes pop up to answer question.
i really like the ROM and all, Thanks for the GodDev for making it, but i think i had done something wrong during the Flashing Process. i realize the battery got drained fast, and i check its the "Cell Standby" eating it up more than the On Screen time it self. i seldom insert a SimCard in my N8000 and use it with Wifi, but on my previous Custom ROM, there's no Problem.
When i check on settings --> about properly, i also Lost my baseband, and IMEI i think.
i had read around and said it was something to do with Modem? but im a noob and i dont know what it means. please any advice for me to counter this Problem,, i really like the ROM and planning to use it as my daily.
Cheers
Baseband is modem .
IMEI fault then simply restore the EFS folder you backed up before flashing .
Modem if you need to update / restore its best to flash your stock rom via Odin .
hi there, thanks for the advice. i did make a backup of my EFS and Radio with an App called EFS Backup by Wanam from play store. but even after following the procedure, i cant restore it, or should i use ODIN to flash the Backup File instead ?
oh and about the Modem, where can i download it ?
Modem you will need to search .
EFS don't know read the instructions.
Modems are part of stock firmware. From sammobile .co m and others
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Thank you for the pointer kind sir. I will try digging it first. Anyone with a good advice please help. Cheerz
Solved,
1. i download the official firmware for my N8000 from sammobile.com,
2.go to recovery, in my case i use highonandroid cwm
3.factory reset and format all data and cache, not the external sd
4.go to download mode, and connect to pc using latest ODIN and flashed the official firmware
5.i lost my Root, but hey i got My Imei and baseband back. It runs Normally now on 4.4.2
