Hi all
I recently Flash Blisspop ROM Ver4.0.3 android version 5.1.1 for my N8000, it had been discontinued but there's a lot of good Review about it, and the GodDev sometimes pop up to answer question.
i really like the ROM and all, Thanks for the GodDev for making it, but i think i had done something wrong during the Flashing Process. i realize the battery got drained fast, and i check its the "Cell Standby" eating it up more than the On Screen time it self. i seldom insert a SimCard in my N8000 and use it with Wifi, but on my previous Custom ROM, there's no Problem.
When i check on settings --> about properly, i also Lost my baseband, and IMEI i think.
i had read around and said it was something to do with Modem? but im a noob and i dont know what it means. please any advice for me to counter this Problem,, i really like the ROM and planning to use it as my daily.
Cheers
Baseband is modem .
IMEI fault then simply restore the EFS folder you backed up before flashing .
Modem if you need to update / restore its best to flash your stock rom via Odin .
hi there, thanks for the advice. i did make a backup of my EFS and Radio with an App called EFS Backup by Wanam from play store. but even after following the procedure, i cant restore it, or should i use ODIN to flash the Backup File instead ?
oh and about the Modem, where can i download it ?
Modem you will need to search .
EFS don't know read the instructions.
Modems are part of stock firmware. From sammobile .co m and others

Thank you for the pointer kind sir. I will try digging it first. Anyone with a good advice please help. Cheerz
Solved,
1. i download the official firmware for my N8000 from sammobile.com,
2.go to recovery, in my case i use highonandroid cwm
3.factory reset and format all data and cache, not the external sd
4.go to download mode, and connect to pc using latest ODIN and flashed the official firmware
5.i lost my Root, but hey i got My Imei and baseband back. It runs Normally now on 4.4.2

I tried asking this in the Droid 2 forum but no one knew how to help.
So i'm gonna try posting this here, sorry if this is against the rules.
I have a droid milestone 2 that is no longer getting service from anywhere. No calls, no text, data and (curiously) no ability to connect to wifi. Went to bed one night, woke up and almost called off work!!! The phone is not rooted and I still have full access to the phone so I backed up everything that is on it and factory wiped it with no luck. Called Verizon, they reset it to defaults a second time with no luck and said that it was a defect with the software.
My question is that if it’s a defect with the software, would upgrading the firmware to ICS help?
If the answer is yes, can I even do it without data on the phone?
I looked up how-to’s on how to flash the firm ware and found a wiki page that helped
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/(deletethis)Motorola_Droid_2:_Full_Update_Guide
but this only worked when flashing to Cyanogenmod 7, the software downloadable from the page did not work with 9.
I know the apps I need is clockworkmod Recovery but I cannot install it from the app store because the phone isn’t getting any type of connection, and the version given from the wiki page can’t do Cyranogenmod 9. So I need an updated .apk file of clockworkmod recovery mod to upgrade the phone to ICS
Any help or guidance would e very very appreciated.
First off you never want to flash using Rom manager so u need to manually put clockwork on with a PC ... the version of clockwork will not matter you can still flash ics ..... flashing may help and it may not it depends on what the problem is ... also not to be a d*** but is the phone in airplane mode?
YouTube will show you how to do all this

dude you cant flash roms or sth like unless you have a rooted phone. guess your phone is already rooted.
you did already backup why dont you make a full wipe and flash a proper rom. you can revert your phone back later if you want

Buddy. What's ur firmware when u did root. Root wont cause any problems. But the procedure of rooting if done incorrectly may cause problem. Flash your stock firmware once again via odin. Do a wipe cache.Take a backup of all ur data and apps before flashing. Apps can be backed by App backup & Restore app. Do a Wipe data. Your problem will be solved. :good:
Just Rooting device will not cause any problem, so i feel you did some mistake...
For removing root just flash Stock ROM of your country (Samsung ROM) you can download it from here and once it is done clear Cache and Dalvik cache, Follow the steps which are mentioned in the below link for flashing the stock ROM...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1406664
We dont have an ICS ROM, But we have ICS themed ROM's which look like ICS ROM you can flash (Make sure you follow the steps correctly) them and try both are good ROM's:
1. Mazel ROM.
2. Neo ROM.
Happy Flashing....
NEO Rom FTW \m/ :highfive:
I have flashed my SGR first with neo rom 2.0 and now currently using the mazel ROM . i have a lot of space occupied with folders which i do not understand . Is there any way i can remove the unwanted folders and free some space.
Secondly if i want to Do a factory reset with the stock rom and start all over again , how do i do that.
Hey there, this is my first thread in xda-devs. So pardon my mistakes. I'm not as good as the devs here, but I'm no noob either.
My device is a Galaxy Exhilarate (SGH I577), and I was running cm-11-20160815-NIGHTLY with CWM recovery (I'm sorry but I don't remember the version of that)
Third party apps, like Instagram and Hyperlapse couldn't use the camera ang gave errors, or blank screens. So I decided to flash the ROM again. But even after flashing the problem existed. So I booted into the recovery and foolishly formatted every listed option under "mount and storage", including firmware. Then I flashed the ROM ZIP alongside GAPPS.
The phone booted, but everything seemed to be really slow. When I try to open an app from the app drawer, it gets faded as it recognizes the press, but doesn't open the app. The icon remains shaded, but I can slide through the app drawer. I tried reflashing the ROM couple times more. But ended up with the same result.
And I changed the recovery to TWRP (after all that happened) and tried reflashing ROM again, to see if it the problem would be solved. Nope, the problem is still there.
And KIES recognizes the device, but refuses to reinstall the stock OS when I use firmware update option.
How should I proceed? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
Have a great day!

Go to Sammobile .com or samsung-updates .com. use your model number there to find your stock firmware then flash it using Odin, put the firmware file in the AP slot and flash it.
Camera issues are always a problem with CM ROMs. Especially if in early development and never finished and especially nightlies, they usually have bugs that haven't been fixed yet.

Did you make a stock backup in CWM before you flashed CM? If so, restore that backup.
If you didn't create that backup then you see why it is always recommended that you make a backup before flashing anything. It's to fix things like this.
You need to flash the stock firmware via Odin to fix this. If you can't find the stock firmware then you'll have to take your device to a professional repair shop or replace the device.

so here's my story:
I bought a used j7 prime. it had android 6.0.1 and it was working fine. even though it didn't seem rooted, the device status was custom and i couldn't get updates. so i downloaded android 7 firmware and i flashed it with Odin. the phone worked fine but i was getting the famous "not registered on network" error. I tried different solution that only made the phone worse. the last thing i tried was flashing an EFS folder ( i think ) that i downloaded through odin and the got messed up. so i flashed android 7 again but then my IMEI was unknown, so i rooted the phone and tried to restore the EFS folder that i had already backed up using EFS Professional, but i get an error message saying "unable to extract archive".
i have no idea what to do and i really need help.
thank you in advance.

Any rom means any Custom ROM? I've tried flashing the stock rom, but in vain.
Service Centre told me to send it back to Oman where it was brought from. ??

There are 2 ways to bring back the imei
1. you need to flash custom rom or stock rom ( Custom rom link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/therealrom-pure-edition-g610x-9.4009347/
Note: Before installation remove the sim. One installation done and reboot the system and once home screen comes insert the sim)
2. one more method is there try once it may helpful for you. First remove the sim from the device. Do network setting reset in the Settings->About-> Reset option-> Select only Network and wifi reset. Note this will erase your saved network passwords. Then install google dialer from playstore. Run the below code *#*#27262826#*#* in google dialer. A screen will come to install CSC features. In the first drop down select the country you want (for india select INS) and submit. Reboot the system. After completion insert the sim and enjoy ur mobile network. It will work for VOLTE. If above code doesn't pop up that option then u need to install rom again.
do it this only in

About the /data thing. Go to TWRP, select wipe, advanced wipe, click on data, select Repair or Change File System, Change File System, Choose EXT3, let it do. Then go to home screen, and do the same but choose EXT4. You can now access your data until you reboot to Stock ROM or any OneUI/TouchWiz based ROM.
This happens as Samsung encrypts(?) the /data partition. About the IMEI, the factory effed up. You need to send it back to where you bought it and seek replacement.
Hello guys,
So i have experienced alot of efs problems in the past and i managed to fix them all but now i can't really do anything about it, i tried flashing the combination firmware i flashed the correct file (i flashed U3) but i keep getting an bootloader exception error, so i went back to stock and tried again, got bootloader exception error again, now i am back at stock and i have no idea what to do i asked a repair center and he said 60€ i am not paying 60€ for a stupid code that turned in to 000000000000000 my baseband is NOT unknown and my signal bar keeps changing beween no signal and the normal signal bar it i have never experienced a changing signal bar like that before i hope someone can help me with this because i can't make any phone calls since 2 weeks or more
Thank alot guys, and sorry for my bad english, english is not my main language
go and pay 60€, u can't back the original IMEI only with soft, u need a box to repair

Yes it did! Happened to me and it's worth the try because you can't do anything wrong with this method.
Downloading the firmware can take some time, but I found a fast mirror after googling around.
Best of luck and please post an update

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately, it didn't work i flashed the latest cp and bl file and it didn't bring back my imei
any other solutions?
I already tried flashing the combination rom with odin v3.11.1 and i selected auto reboot, re-partition, nand erease all, f.reset time, efs clear and bootloader update also no luck, i clicked on ime and entered *#06# to see or i got my imei back and nope i also wiped my full efs before flashing the rom, this problem sounds more serious then i've ever thought it would be
it would be great to have some idea's to fix this...
last time when i had this problem on my phone i wiped my full efs and installed sac23's s9 port rom suprisingly it did help me bring back my imei now i did that again and no luck, the problem also is that i used twrp to delete my efs now twrp doesnt recognize my efs so it shows that my /efs is empty and root explorer says that it has files in it i need to wipe efs with twrp like i did before because if i delete it while i have my phone on it gets rebuilded again? files keep coming back but my imei, signal are not coming back its weird, i tried samsung kies and smart switch but it says SM-G935F not supported
the combination rom also keeps getting cp crash error, it so after a short moment in the combination rom it reboots in cp crash mode or something like that with green and red text
UPDATE: IMEI is NOT 0 anymore, but its not correct, the imeisv numer is now at the end of the imei number which means its now a 16 number imei, it also says simcard not provisionized please help me guys
UPDATE: [SOLVED] I can use my phone 100% again,
I fixed it I accidentally switched my simcard to a simcard that was suspended,
Now for the people also have problems,
1. Go to twrp
2. Make sure Efs has been checked at mount
3. Go to file manager
4. Go to /efs and delete everything in it (DO NOT DELETE /EFS IT SELF OR ELSE PHONE WONT BOOT!! ONLY DELETE WHATS IN IT)
5. now flash a new rom directly without restarting your phone after deleting whats in your efs or else your efs will rebuild, now it should work, if your imei is changed and it says sim not provisoned then just change your simcard because that error message means you have been suspended or your sim is inactive

So basically I can flash any Oreo custom rom and the EFS would repair ?
I have the Z3X box and I tried to repair the IMEI by entering my IMEI but unfortunately I made a 1 digit mistake.
The IMEI was written ok but did not Patch the certificate, at the time was on Binary 2, the phone got automatically update with latest stock (Binary 5), now can't repair IMEI nor patch the certificate (it would require downgrade to 7.0 which is not possible with Binary 3+).
Any idea ?
