Hi,
Just wondering if MMX A110 supports north american frequencies. My dad picked up this phone when he was visiting India, I cant seem to get it to work in north america. It seems like the frequencies are not supported. I don't know much about the phone. Any input?
Thanks

Nah, this phone won't work in the States,
there 3G works on WCDMA 900, while as our phone only supports WCDMA 2100 which is generic frequency here in Asia!
Well, here is the solution to changing frequency to wcdma-900
1.go to dial pad and dial *#*#3646633#*#*....it will enter engineer mode
2.go to telephony>bandmode and select wcdma-gsm-900
Reboot and enjoy
Don't forget to thank

Depends what band is 4G over there, see if the One S supports that frequency.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1895684&page=30
So far nobody was able to enable the 1900 or 1700mhz
Here in Brazil Claro network uses 2100 Mhz and I would like to know if anyone was able to enable this frequency into the sch-I535
Thank

Well, I´m with Galaxy S5 now.
I learned the lesson to only buy models with ALL frequency supported.
At the time when I was with the S3, I had a work around. There is a software called phoneinfo (really hard to find it cause they don´t have it on playstore anymore) that manually you could put it to 2100mhz, it was a pain in the ass had to change it all the time depend where you at, cause not all antenas of CLARO uses the same frequency.

No success so far.
So as y'all know, s2 and y2 is the exact model but differentiate from where it sales.
I got my y2 from India, currently back to Taiwan.
I wonder if there are any ways fore me to enable 900 MHz 2600Mhz LTE or 4G bands, as those two is what my cellular company provides. (Whereas my phone supports 850Mhz, 2100Mhz and all, but just not 900 MHz or 2600Mhz)
I have only found a thread with galaxy s5 I suppose, but I am a newbie here and I have absolutely no Idea what I should do.
Currently running Unlocked version MIUI 10, Android 9.
Btw, rooting wouldn't be a problem, just help me to get it working <3

I know that, but just asking whether there are anyway for me to add frequencies, else I would need to change a phone.

I don't know, this works or not, usually in "miui" there is a region menu...
Does effect nothing with region select
I have faced, for some reason, the frequency of my 4G cell phone being locked in my country, when I change regions, the problem is resolved

I know that what I need is a firmware edit (or whatever it calls)
, changing the settings obviously won't help.
