[Q] What's a good contacts app with buttons to email, call, text, Hangout, and Skype? - General Questions and Answers

I'd like to access all my contacts with a single app. For each contact, it lists known phone numbers, email addresses, IM usernames, etc., and when you tap one, it launches the relevant app for initiating communication through that method. E.g., tapping an email address opens Gmail, tapping a Facebook username opens Messenger, and tapping a phone number begins a phone call or SMS app.
Do any contacts programs connect to Hangouts? I'm currently using the People app that comes with Cyanogenmod, but it omits Skype and Hangouts associated with my contacts.

Small Contacts Issue has me Stumped

I am having an issue where for certain of my contacts their mobile number will not show up in the stock address book or text messaging apps.
I use Touchdown to synch with my corporate exchange.
Everything works fine and the contact shows a mobile number in Touchdown. And almost all of my other contacts also show all the correct info when accessed through the Contacts stock app (which can display all the touchdown contacts) and through the SMS app.
Bu for some reason for a very small number of my contacts, when I try to text them or when I open them through the Contacts app, I just cannot get the mobile number to appear.
Any ideas?

[Q] I don't understand how contacts work

In my contacts, I have my google contacts, my Touchdown, my facebook, my google+ contacts. As you can assume, there are tons of duplicates from contacts with the same name that is in google, touchdown and facebook, sometimes google+. I set in contacts to ONLY show my google contacts, but still when I search, I see 3 of my friend name.
Its really annoying...I'm almost inclined to wipe the contacts database.
How do I clean it up? Also, for anyone that use Touchdown, how can I prevent the contacts to show up on the phone contacts in the future?
Thanks!
You could try to long click a contact, select join contact, and then find the duplicates to join.

[Q] Better multi-platform chat app

Hi,
I'm looking for following features in a multi-platform chat/messaging application.
Connect to all networks like Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Skype, MSN etc.
Use multiple Google accounts
Voice/Video call to online contacts.
I have already used following apps but there are limitations with every application
Talk on Gingerbread can connect to only one account at a time. Voice video chat plugin is not working.
Talk on JellyBean connects multiple google accounts but no voice video chat. Also for me it doesn't work on GPRS/EDGE. Connects only on wi-fi.
Nimbuzz - Can call google contacts. But can't add multiple Google accounts.
Fring - Was able to call google contacts but new update is completely different. Can't add multiple Google accounts.

Duplicate contacts from multiple accounts

Hi all, I have a Nexus 6 with Android 5 (Lollipop) and I am using the standard app for phone (dialer) and contact list.
The contact list includes contacts from several accounts, such as Gmail, Exchange, Skype and LinkedIn.
The contact list can be configured to only display contacts from one given source or just some of them. The dialer always displays all of the sources, ignoring the contact list settings.
The problem, and my question, is why my contacts are duplicated in the contact list (and the dialer contact list)?
If I have "John Doe" in Gmail, Skype and LinkedIn - then I have three John Does in the list. To be clear: I do not have duplicates within each source (e.g. Gmail).
Any tips?
Noone?

Question Whatsapp integration in contacts missing

All of a sudden in contacts I lost the integration with whatsapp: I cannot send any longer a whatsapp message from a contact.
All is synced correctly and 3td party integration is enabled.
