Hi,
I'm looking for following features in a multi-platform chat/messaging application.
Connect to all networks like Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Skype, MSN etc.
Use multiple Google accounts
Voice/Video call to online contacts.
I have already used following apps but there are limitations with every application
Talk on Gingerbread can connect to only one account at a time. Voice video chat plugin is not working.
Talk on JellyBean connects multiple google accounts but no voice video chat. Also for me it doesn't work on GPRS/EDGE. Connects only on wi-fi.
Nimbuzz - Can call google contacts. But can't add multiple Google accounts.
Fring - Was able to call google contacts but new update is completely different. Can't add multiple Google accounts.
im+, imo - Can't call google contacts.
Any suggestions?
Im pro +
Edit : sorry it can't make calls
nimbuzz for multiple social sites.....
but some times i get fcs
for facebook use go chat
for other use whatsapp
for calls use viber

Before I start I would like to say that I already did some research but I didn't get a satisfying result. I consider the XDA forum an excellent place to get a second opinion. If you don't know an answer to my question, or if anything is unclear: feel free to comment and discuss.
I am looking for a bundle of Android apps with the following (similar or related) functionality. It could be one app, or several apps that work together.
Sync MSN Contacts to Android Contacts
This is in fact the exact opposite as in this thread for a WM6 device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343840 (other threads with similar questions exist)
Just to get this straight: I am not looking for an MSN Instant Messenger app. Those already exist and work quite well.
The ideal app should do the following:
* Integrate into the Android Contacts as an account, similar to Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, LastFM,...
* All my MSN Contacts should be added to Android Contacts with at least the following details: name, email address, MSN/Windows Live account, profile picture, last status [feel free to suggest other account details]
* Android Contacts does it "magic" to auto-merge the MSN Contacts with already existing contacts from other accounts.
* Only one MSN account is required for my needs (just like you can only add one Exchange or one Facebook account) but I'll leave it up to you, the reader, to tell me if more than one MSN account is useful.
Sync Android Contacts to MSN Contacts
* For all contacts currently in Android contacts:
1. If they have an email address in one of the well-known Microsoft domains (@hotmail.com, @live.com,...) -> add them to my MSN Contacts (send a request or whatever terminology Microsoft uses) + add as IM detail in Android
2. If they have a Windows Live IM account in the Android contact data --> add them to my MSN Contacts + add as email detail in Android
Sync Jabber Contacts to Android Contacts
* Same as the first app, but for Jabber/XMPP accounts.
* Should support more than one Jabber/XMPP account.
* I have no ideas or use case scenarios for a reverse Android -> Jabber sync app.
Sync email and IM contact data from other accounts to Google Contacts
When I'm working on my Android, I have email addresses from Facebook, Linkedin, and potentially other Contacts apps. However only the details that are in a Google account are synchronized to Google. For example when I'm working on the pc in the Gmail interface, I cannot see an email address that I got via Facebook.
Are there apps that already do something like this?
If such apps do not yet exist, do you think that they would be useful?
As in: useful enough to dive into Java and Android development so that I can make them myself?
Hi
does anyone know of an app or a way to intergrate MSN messeger contacts into google contacts.
I want to be able to do the same thing as Skype where clicking contact via skype launchs an application that allows MSN chat.
Thanks in Advance.
Does anyone else have issues with Facebook integration in the messaging hub? It says some of my friends who use Windows Phone are offline, even when their not, and not all messages get forwarded to my phone.
I dont really have any problems with the facebook intergration and messaging although i have had a problem with windows live contacts not showing up, for some reason they were getting put on ignore and you cannot see that on a wp7 device.
Perhaps dissociate your windows live account with facebook and try again there also could be a problem with your cellular data connection.
Integrated Facebook Chat WP7.5 contact Problems
I have a Nokia Lumia 710, WP7.5, Rogers Network. I've noticed during the last couple days that I can no longer access facebook friends on my messaging hub. Even with my facebook chat toggled on, I cannot see any of my fb contacts who are online. I have been able to chat with my hotmail contacts.
The problem started off as something minor, where I would have to toggle the facebook chat option (under MESSAGING SETTING), off then on, after which the my fb contacts would reappear, but now even that doesn't work.
Clueless as what to do now.
Thanks
I'm having the same problem, but in my case Facebook Chat never worked
I have the same problem. Any fixes?
I'd like to access all my contacts with a single app. For each contact, it lists known phone numbers, email addresses, IM usernames, etc., and when you tap one, it launches the relevant app for initiating communication through that method. E.g., tapping an email address opens Gmail, tapping a Facebook username opens Messenger, and tapping a phone number begins a phone call or SMS app.
Do any contacts programs connect to Hangouts? I'm currently using the People app that comes with Cyanogenmod, but it omits Skype and Hangouts associated with my contacts.
Hey, got an idea.
Since MSN went to Outlook and Outlook integrated with Skype and Skype with Facebook... and even in Microsoft account options now you can add FB & GTalk (chat works online) and Twitter for status updates... How about one nice and simple Android app with common chat list (Skype, FB, Gtalk) and Feeds tab (FB, Twitter). Shouldn't be a rocket science.
I was looking for something like that, the whole day. The closest is ICQ(!?!). You can add FB and Gtalk, still no Skype and Twitter (I think there was, API update must be). Even free calls working decently. To point a direction... but Microsoft with Skype, well, worth to think about.
