Looks sketchy, I've only seen a 1900mah battery on ebay and even then it was probably an exaggeration. It's only six bucks w/ free shipping, take one for the team, try it out and let us know
Looks really interesting... Im curious, 6 bucks wont hurt to hopefully finding the cure this phone dying fast!!
Never heard of it before now. I love my girl too much to drop a new battery in her like that.
Incipio has a battery extender for $60. I *may* go that route if I start having significant batt problems.
Let me know how the 2200 turns out though.

I already took two of these for the team. So far I only intended them as back ups. When I did use one it was right after a rom flash and while I did not see any better battery time, I also didn't see any worse. I plan on running one this week now that my battery use is more settled. FWIW, they do feel heavier in your hand.....how much should a MaH weigh anyway?
as long as this 2200mah provides similar or better than original Samsung 1750mah I will buy one as backup.
I was actually debating between that one and the 1900mah http://www.ebay.com/itm/160632602166?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I went with the 1900mah, mainly because I didn't want to wait for this to come from Hong Kong. I noticed the 1900 lasts about an hour to hour and a half more than stock battery with the Infused ROM. When I first flashed Infused it was seriously drained both stock and the 1900 in less than 5 hours. Once it settled I got about 7.5 to 8 hours out of it on the 1900. I never had a ROM needing to settle so much, but I guess that was part of it. One thing I did notice is that 1900 charged noticeably faster than stock.
I went with this one. I will report back once I get it on my hands.

You can get a 2 pack + battery charger on amazon for $14. They are branded as "hyperion". They are 1800s and I get great battery life with them.

its worth it for me cause i can get through the workday without charging now. they are relatively inexpensive unless you opt for the 3800mah. so yes, it's worth it
I lost one of my spare batteries today during my frantic search for the courthouse phone number. 5 minutes of searching got me 2 1800s for $7.98 shipped. They are awesome, especially for the price.

What Roms are you guys running.
I am running the Doctorz V8 Rom, and even with watching several episodes of Futurama on Netflix, with Pandora while patrolling, I still get 15 hours + on my phone.
Stock battery too.
Miui ftw. Doctorz gave me the worst experience out of all the roms I tried. I typically get 27ish hours on this rom with no mods or battery savers. That is with a LOT of sms, some mms, some phone calls, plenty of pandora, and the occasional photos. When I use my phone heavily I get 15+ hours. That's heavy phone usage, lots of games, etc.

see sig for rom. I bought 2 3500, 1 3600 and use daily a 3800 battery. they are all fantastic and each lasts 3 years!
ok, well, a long time (2-3 days)

where to get it online ???
I just bought Anker brand batteries for my Captivate and it works great. Get at least 30% more life than oem and it was only $20 for 2 with a charger. Was contemplating getting their battery for my wifes Infuse. It's only $12.99. I'd definitely look at it if you want more battery life for a low cost.

Would be interesting to discuss this issue, please take a poll
i think battery life is awesome on this phone, Ive never had such good battery life with any other smartphone..
I dont think it needs extended battery.
I think HTC actually tried to eliminate battery drain before making a non removable battery.
I second that, getting great battery usage.

Mobile all the way
There will always be people who want an extended battery, but its really not needed unless you are using your phone to make 50 pho.e calls in a day or you play 3 hours of games. most people will be more than happy with the battery life provided by the One S.

no need for a Extended Battery here, where would the battery go if there was one
If you are in bad cell coverage (which eats more juice) or are a heavy user, pray god invest a few bucks into a Gumpack external battery. That thing is half the size if a pack of cigs and stores enough juice for 2-3 full recharges on the go. Its one little more gadget to toss into your daypack and remember to keep charged but its well worth the bother. Certainly easier than speculating about a bigger battery while batt life is fine for most users.
And I am not bashing, if you have a 1.5h commute to work and spend it playing GTA3 i can see where the juice goes. So a gumpack battery would be your best approach, with the current 28nm Krait architecture there is not a lot to gain batterywise really. Plus, the AMOLED sucks less juice on dark images, something to keep in mind when picking a background image I think.

Hey guys!
i've read some good reviews on this battery here in the forum so i've ordered
one from ebay.de
I have to say i've struggeled with my 1500mah oem samsung stock battery
for my galaxy s1 for some time now.
i've just received my PolarCell battery today
and i'd love to hear some advices on how to use it in the best way from the start
so i can maximaize the battery functionality.
i've thought to charge it to 100% while the phone is off
and then calibarate.
do you recommand let it discharge till 0 in the first usage time
and then charge to 100 again?
any advice will be welcomed here
btw ...
thank you guys very much for the tip of purchasing a battery as such
hope ill find it as a very good product!

hmm after first charge i need to caliberate right?
let it full to 0 and charge to 100?
or is it bad for th li-on battery on first use to full to 0?
Just charge it to full and use it normally. You can discarge it to 0 until the phone shuts off it won't hurt the battery as it has some protection built in and it never drains under 3.5v.
But just to know li-ion batteries doesn't like deep discharges.
I also use a polar cell battery for 6 months and i am very satisfied with its performace, better than with stock 1500mah and better than armani 1650mah.
So it's the best battery for the galaxy s ?
I have been using a Polarcell 1800 mah battery for about 6 months now, still working great.. atleast compared to my over 1 yr old stock battery.
When i got my Polarcell, i charged it to 100% ,making sure it really was 100% by unplugging and plugging a few times while following the mV values on BatteryCalibration app.
Then just calibrated it and used it normally until about 1-2%, then charged it full again and started using it like i use any other battery(not paying attention on what battery level i recharge and so on). Summary is= going with this method and working great for months !!
I have very good experience with PollarCell batteries on Nokia phones.
:good:
very can I buy this battery?

Bought it on amazon.com for about 12 Euros. Have read really good things in darkys forum...Did not have time to test it until now, though...
Edit:
About your question how to charge the battery: First use it till 0, then fully charge it without disconnecting it. But if you didn't do it like that, I am sure it will not explode either...

I've also been using a Polarcell 1800mAh battery on my Galaxy S for awhile now. The difference is night and day with my old stock one (which I think was dying). I used to have to charge in the middle of the day at times with the stock one, now sometimes when I get home at night the battery is still at 70%.
I got mine off ebay:

Using the polarcell battery since more than 6 month and i'm more than happy with it. i get up to 4 hours display time. with the original battery i got 3 hours maximum. i bought it at amazon for 12,90€. i would definetly recommend it to anyone!
Hey Guys!
I just wanted to share my experiences about this battery I found. I bought it on amazon, and tested over a few days with BMW on.This battery had an estimated 2700 (!) mah (estimated by battery monitor widget after 5 charge/discharge cycles), and its real. I really tried to kill it fast with wifi hotspot, bluetooth on, while streaming video from youtube over 3g, and it lasted 4-5 hours ! This battery worth every penny of its price! So much win with this one! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a new battery!

Is it normal or double sized? If it's normal sized I'd highly doubt that the power declaration is right. Could I see a link please?

It is slim, so goes under the original back case. I cannot post a link here since I am a new member or I dont know why, so please copy this into the browser:

I added a picture to the original post, please check it.
I have a Polarcell 1800 too, but this 2680 (produced by Ecell) is way more powerful!
Actually it looks like one of these fake batteries. Please test it for some more days and report back than - I'd appreciate that very much
These 'Golden Business Batteries' are something to be taken very carefully. I have one that was supposed to be a 1930 mAh one, but lasts way shorter than the stock 1500 mAh one.
That's why I'm saying. It's nearly impossible to get that big amount of capacity into such a small battery I'd say.
Look I would not suggest if it would be fake. I am using this battery for more than a month, and its real. I read those ****ty reviews about the 2430mah gold battery and others.. Just google it, you would not find any bad review from this 2680 mah battery, and its working like a charm. The reason the screenshot is just 5 cycle old is that I reflash my device almost every week becouse I am trying different ROMs, and I erase every data connected to the battery.
I just wanted to share my experiences, becouse I didnt find any review about these batteries. It is up to you if you are brave enough to buy one.
thanks for the review!!
So how Ia the battery holding up nowadays? Because im really dissapointed with getting a new galaxy s3 and its battery gets used uo so fast. If your going to get a smart phone they shiuld be smart and allow the customers to fully exhaust all its features. I hate apple but always had a iphone and the batery never let me down.

Working very well for me still, seems to not lose any of its capacity. It can easily last for two days with massive usage.

I'm not saying that all high capacity batteries are bad.
But my experience with a high capacity battery is not so good.
I bought a year ago a Mugen 3200 mAh batt. Now after 1 year it charges very quick but also discharges very quick. My original 1500 mAh batt now lasts longer.

Hello
Im going to put a larger capacity battery in my Desire Z and I wanted some recommendations. Also, normal sizes (as in demensions); None that come with a additional cover to compensate for the normal size this making the phone bigger.
Ankers 1600mAh, lasts for me more than 2 days between charges. Got mine for a fiver off eBay, brand new.

Hi,
I'll also went with the Anker. 2 Days without charging even when using custom roms... Definetely a good choice for this Price!
riahc3, if you ask for advice, don't argue about there being higher capacity batteries, if you want the mugen go get it, but if you asked advice in the first place then don't get annoyed when people don't give you the answer you want to hear. Sorry, that's just the way I see it.
If you're after numbers rather than advice, take both. Look at my screenies, yeah I know I'm a light user, under clocked and had a sneaky charge in between but this was on CM10.1 build 15 which supposedly has battery problems, and as you can see I listened to music for a couple of hours as well. Also everyone else here has gotten at least 2 days between charge with Ankers.

I am also thinking about buying a new battery but I think that it doesn't matter how much mAh of the battery has. I think that real question is how will be after 6 months of usage. Most of these aftermarket batteries are start good but after few weeks or months they become useless. So we need real user feedback. Is there anyone who uses any of the aftermarket battery more than few months?
I've started to use JellyBaby v1.5 ROM and I've decided to buy new battery instead of new device.

I don't know about battery life of iPhone 5, S3, Note2, etc but I think that under normal circumstances battery life of our phones should be 2 days.
Do you use home-screen widget or lock screen widget? Does they have any effect on battery life?
aftermarket battery? you're better off getting a oem, a lot of aftermarkets don't live up to the levels they advertise.
I recommend the evo 4g design battery, it fits perfect in our devices at a whopping 1520 mah compared to stock's 1300mah
