Looking for AT&T S4 empty box for Black S4 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

ok, as odd as it may sound, I'm pretty ocd.
so I got a black 32gb s4 from AT&T, for some reason it shipped with a box for the white version (white band around the middle)
as everyone knows, 32gb for ATT only comes in black.
Anywho it bothers me enough that I'll buy someone's empty box, if you are gonna throw it away.
Has to be from a Black AT&T S4 and in Mint condition.
I'll throw $15 your way + 1st class mail shipping costs from you to me.
Let me know guys lol.
btw I'm totally serious and not trolling lol.
Please no funny jokes about coloring it with a sharpie

Don't forget your serial and imei is on the outter part of box also if you decide to send it his way.

Report what? I'm just looking for a box like I mentioned, the box nazi's? you guys get scammed too much nigerian princes asking for boxes? or something? I wasn't aware of that kind of scam.
I don't even need the serial number/imei portion, I mentioned I actually only need the bottom half with the color stripe portion.

I thought they were kidding but my 32GB box is black between the top and bottom wood grain...Not sure why it is such a biggie but it is black. I always save my boxes for when I sell the phones.

Sorry but how would he use the IMEI/Serial # to get a free S4?

I live with moderate OCD so i know the feel, but this is a bit tooooo extreme. I don't see the problem though, just take off your imei sticker and get $15 free dolla, provided you don't need it anymore.

I have my OCD`s with my Phone and Computer stuff, BUT the Box??? Really? Are you not OCD about your White Charger and Cable with your Black phone then??

exactly, must some kind of new scam I'm not aware of.
about the OCD, it's more like a collection.
remember when you were a kid and mcdonald's happy meal toys were simpson's characters? well I had to get them all to have the set.
This is kinda like that, I just need a black bottom box to complete that S4 collection lol, at least that's how it feels to me.
lol I know it's just a box.
oh and the OCD doesn't extend to other people's property. I don't find myself having to straighten picture frames or lining up things in order... calling monk fans haha.

the white cable/charger on a black phone is tacky in my opinion but I dont find myself having to buy a black cable or charger for some reason... I guess I ain't that OCD afterall.

Hehe I misread this part at first as you saying there are water damage spots on the phone. In your final advertisement you might want to reword that a bit. Maybe say something like, "The test strips that are used to indicate water damage show that there is no water damage."

Keep the pics of the litmus strips. I bought five phones off craigslist and ebay. If someone went to trouble to prove to me that there were no problems with the phone, I paid more for those than ones with a few pics and little description.
When selling on the internet, the more pics you have the better. A person buys something in the store after holding it and thoroughly looking into it. Tutu have to recreate that. Be honest and show it all.
From a phone
Well feel free to pass this on to anyone you know that may be interested. Like I said, I can get more pics if needed. As soon as I have enough posts, I'll put a thread in the marketplace as well.
Case is no longer with the phone. Still not enough posts to get into the marketplace.

Nexus 5 phone dropped in water, please help me out with this

Ok so I got my nexus 5 on November 2013. It fell in water and it no longer shows the screen properly but it charges and loads up on pc fine. Can I get a replacement at no cost? The warranty says it doesn't cover psychical damage. If I have to pay for phone again, I'm gonna get Sony Waterproof phone, no point in wasting money on something inferior. This is a picture of the background, it's meant to be one colour

Of course you have to pay if you dropped it in water. Sorry, but why would you expect to get it replaced for free?
Just because this phone isn't waterproof, doesn't mean it's an inferior product. Almost all phones aren't waterproof.
Warranty doesn't cover accidental damage. It covers manufacturer defects. You dropping the phone in water is not a defect. Not of the phone anyway
Unless you have insurance, you'll be buying a new phone.

It depends. There are water indication stickers placed inside the phone that change color when they come into contact with water. If the water never reached the indicators, then they have no proof. BUT the indicators are always put in places where water is most likely to go first, so even if you had your phone out of the water quick enough and dried it off, it still probably wouldn't have made a difference. I say do the right thing. Instead of trying to commit fraud, just buy a new phone.

Either way you're not going to see it in a screenshot. I once had quite a long conversation about a guy who thought dead pixels would appear in his screenshots. He then started calling android ridiculous because it didn't have that feature.
This guy is obviously trolling, nobody could be stupid enough to post a screenshot thinking it would show physical damage. Just report the thread and don't feed into it anymore.
edit: This thread feels vaguely familiar to me. Pretty sure someone tried to troll here a while back with the exact same scenario, posting screenshot and all.

As already said, yes, they can prove you dropped it in water, and no, you will most likely not get a (free) replacement. That's all that can be said about it.
And as already mentioned, putting it into rice is always the best bet with wet electronics

That's crazy. If you purchase something and its not working up to its full potential and its under warranty it would be crazy to not have it fixed. just look at nexus 4 launch, launched, went out of stock for some time, but yet, people with problems(the most were battery/screen) could still get new devices

letting the device get too hot is what causes this. glue holding the backlight to the lcd panel warms and weakens.

im sorry, but for the price of the nexus, that fee can only be at max what? $10 or less so idc.
and the lcd panel warms, its a desing fault, this is a plus that Samsung gets, their termal design is really good
The issue is that almost every IPS LCD has some degree of backlight bleed. If it's bad enough that it's visible in a well-lit room, then I'd ask for them to replace it under warranty. If you need to look hard for it and it's only if you turn the brightness up in a dark room, then I'd say it's "normal."

LOL @ OCD.
Well, for all us OCD folks, I highly recommend the Otterbox Defender. We got them for free (normally $50 each) from a TMobile rep hook up via telephone sales. They also gave us Puregear Extreme Impact custom fit screen protectors too ($25), free, in case we did want to use the Otterbox (which also has a screen protector anyway).

For me, it's not a problem about what will happen to the phone if I drop it or anything, it's more about obsessing over there being a problem with it right after opening it up. Screen coloration issues, scratches, etc. And the worst part is having that thought that, "Well I could exchange it and get a perfect one. There's always that chance." That's never worked out. I've returned and exchanged so many phones just from obsessing. The solution is to just use the phone. Not matter what. The 4th R: (read the book Brain Lock for info on the 4 R's). Do what you would be doing if you weren't having this obsession.

I ended up checking it for imperfections, and....I couldn't take it. I swapped out for an HTC 10. =/

I got screwed buying a 2nd hand phone. I need your guys help to fix it

So someone on a facebook group was selling a Galaxy S6 because it wouldnt turn on. He said it worked 1 moment and then suddenly it wouldnt charge or turn on. I figured it was just a software issue and that it might be an easy fix so I bought it for $40. I get home and no sooner than I take it out the back falls right off like the adhesive wasnt holding and the casing over the motherboard easily came off. I look at it closely and realize the battery isnt the original and someone had tampered with it to the point one of the red wires was not connected to anything and it looks like another wire is missing. Here are some pictures and im hoping some tech savy individual can help point me in the right direction on fixing this as I was hoping to surprise my wife with it since her phone is about 5 years old and showing age.

It even says on the back that it was "MADE IN KOREAN BY SAMSUNG". Last time I checked, it was called Korea.

To jump in this one i got one simialr situation wouldnt work. I disaambled cleaned all contacts on flex cables. It works now but i did bust my back and i now have a cheap aftermarket back didnt look at ure pics yet im at work. These phones are highly susecptable to any kind of moisture damage. U might try cleanin the flexes. Ive help a few cases and this has worked just because knock off back dont mean nothin. Ill further this later on.

Wow i do believe this is a total knockoff. Ill post of pics of the inside here in a few completly diffrent. The battery is supposed to have a flex cable no wires. And theres loads of writing on the motherboard thats not on official samsung board. Plus it look like theres a 3 or 4 wire black plug sticking of the board. Man i hate it for you but ure probly wasting your time.
I need a cleaner pic of the mb. I do small electronics repair and might be able to help just cant see slear enough
Can't believe this is debatable... the phone is a total knock off. Sorry to hear it man what a bummer.
The motherboard in the S6 is blue (not green), the big Galaxy S6 text on the back is in wrong font, but you can get an S6 with that text on the back (certain regions), but that is as fake as they come. I mean look at the camera, its tiny! Google S6 teardown, you will see the difference. There is also no Wireless Charging contacts.
Sorry to deal the bad news mate, sucks there are people out there like this
On the bright side, it was only $40! People have been scammed for retail prices for this. I wouldn't bother fixing it either, the fake will be awful to use, worse than many low, low end phones.
