Hi all. Have a problem. I tryed to flash my friends Kaiser with other rom by remote method. All is ok, but i was not able to see that his touchscreen didn't work. Friend don't want to repair it, but now he can't to calibrate screen and so new rom not starting. Is it possible to flash this phone with any backup to avoid calibration wizard at the start? Any ideas?
P.S. Sorry for my english
My screen stopped working suddenly.
It will not respond to anything, no matter how hard I press on it.
What could have gone wrong?
Do I need to flash it back to ATT firmware before I send it back for HTC manufacture warranty?
Thanks for the help !
What rom are you using? Did you try with another ROM? I'm asking because maybe it's not hardware problem.

Hi, I am using RRE Win 6.1 rom, and I have been using it for at least 3 months.
I was just wondering, is it possible that I turn off the touch screen capability accidentally? It was just working fine a few hours ago, and before I tried to make a call, it was just in my pocket.
Well, everything is possible. I would suggest that you flash some other ROM, preferably stock, and if the problem isn"t solved (and this looks like a hardware issue ), revert the phone to stock SPL and bring it to the repair center.

I removed the screen protector and saw a dark spot underneath the screen when the screen is off.
But whenever the screen lights up, it looks normal.
So it seems like the screen got damaged, , but I have never dropped the phone, and it's usually inside my pocket.
I flashed the stock ROM, but when it asks me to tap the screen to set up the device, I can't, coz i can't tap it.
Also, how do I revert it back to stock SPL?
Thanks

Place a file called "welcome.not" (no quotes) in the root of the SD card - this should bypass the windows welcome screen. (simply make a blank txt file and rename it to welcome.not [make sure it isnt welcome.not.txt])

I tried running the SPL, but there is a on screen prompt for the botloader.exe, and ask me to let it run or not.
I can't select yes, because the screen doesn't work.
Is there a way to work around this? I tried the enter button, and the circle button, none works.
Thanks

thanks for the suggestion, but the same goes for mymobiler, when it tries to sync with the phone, it prompts whether the program is allowed to access the phone, so any other things that i can try?
Yes!!
But its a little long winded (and i'm a little drunk - so it could be an interesting journey!!)
this assumes you have a UC capable rom (there are other ways to acheive exactly the same thing - i just dont know enough about them).
1)
Create a UC setup to either
i} install mymobler
and / or
ii} install AEButton plus (and then copy a specific config file over)
2)
Hard reset (having already placed welcome.not on the SD card)
3)
With luck (and for that i mean i think) you will have either pc access to your touch screen (my moblier) or [ii]a keyboard button assigned to left softkey to accept the install (or possibly both if you want!)
(if you like the AEB solution please PM me and i'll make the config file for you)
Once you have that you should be able to install most software & so reset the SPL.
I have no idea if the stock ROM is UC capable - if not:
I dont know if it is possible to restore the SPL to stock and then flash an offical AT&T rom - before you try that route make sure you have read everything, asked the experts if required, and have everything you need - i'm not taking any responsibility for it!!)
(please forgive obvisous errors & typos - while i was out at the pub having a relaxing beer some [email protected] moved all the keys about on my keyboard!)
Wow, same problem happened to me, screens stopped working. You gotta press it with 2 thumbs on the same spot to make it work.

I just had this very problem with My AT&T Fuze. I have had it for 10 months, and fortunately it was still under warranty. Apparently, there are MANY problems with the touch screen on this model. My previous model was the 8125. There was a frame around the screen, and it offered protection that is not available on the Raphael. To answer your question, I never unlocked or flashed this phone, so I was good as far as the return, but I would HIGHLY recommend that you reflash an authorized (ie OEM) rom to your phone before the exchange.
Good luck!
MrRuss
If you cant fix ur screen,
than HTC's warranty should be able to cover you.
Hopefully.
I went to a Att device support center, and luckily, they exchanged the phone for me.
Thanks for all the help and input !
Hi all,
I tried to flash my TPro with Blackstone Radio 1.13.25.24 downloaded from Wiki-Raphael_ExtractedRadioRoms
After the update get to 100%, the phone gets stuck on tricolor flashing screen with a message "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again"
Please anybody have an idea what might go wrong, and how can I fix this?
Thanks a lot!
Update:
Look like I didn't do Security Unlocked before flashing!!! Damned stupid!! How can I fix this, anyone? Thanks
If a soft reset didn't fix it (sounds like it didn't), then you should flash a stock touch pro rom, preferably the one for your particular device. I don't really understand why anything happened if you weren't security unlocked. You should just be able to soft reset. Hopefully you already have hard spl.
The new raphael radios (1.14's) are pretty good, imo, are worth trying.
Thanks for the reply, Ted!
You are right, soft reset doesn't help.
I had HardSPL 1.90.OliNex so hopefully I still can fix my phone.
As I digging through XDA, I found one thread that I think it is relevant to my problem.
ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1951338&postcount=11
In the thread, member dwny wrote
If the Rom has issues.....the flash will not complete and the device will be stuck in BootLoader Mode. At this point, you must FLASH a FACTORY ROM!!
Pop the battery off 1st, power up the device, device will power up in BootLoader Mode, connect to pc & FLASH your devices FACTORY ROM. This will restore your device back to it's original out the box settings.
The above only works if the device has been put through the Hard SPL or SuperCID process.

Sounds pretty much like my problem and possible solution. I think I will try it when I get home from work.
One thing I need to ask it, if my phone is stuck in BootLoader, will it be able to sync with the PC, and then got flashed?
Sorry if the question is stupid
Thanks a lot!
Update
And my TPro is safe and sound now! Here is how I did it:
1. Enter the bootloader mode
ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Raphael_For_Beginners
2. Connect the phone with PC using USB
3. Flash the phone with the HTC ROM named RUU_Raphael_hTC_Asia_WWE_5.07.707.2_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe. Based on suggestions of dwyn.
4. After flashing the phone was fully functional.
I flashed the phone again with Energy ROM-Titanium 07-Sept, and it works flawlessly. Cheers!
Thanks for the great knowledge-base of XDA community!
I've had this problem for a while where while I'm using the phone, the touchscreen and softkeys fail. For now I've just been putting it into wakelock and unlocking it again, however its getting to a point where I can't use the phone anymore.
ROMs it's happened on: CM7.1, CM7.2 and MIUI ICS 2.4.27 (proxuser port)
Kernel: The standard one, I haven't changed that
Something that could cause the issue is the Korean IME from Google (I have that installed as its the best Korean Keyboard out there for the time being)
Pretty sure this is a hardware problem, if so I'll flash it back to stock and S-ON it and get vodafone to replace the phone for me (or try to as the case may be)
If anyone could give advice or a fix that'd be really handy.
Thanks for any help/advice given in advance.

No fix. Have had exactly the same kind ot issue on a friend's Desire S,which needed replacement. Don't hesitate about restoring S-On and sending it back to HTC. That's the best course of action to take if you're under warranty...
Sent from a Desire S still looking for a good replacement.
Ah, I got my phone basically a year ago next week so I'm not sure if that means its not in warranty anymore.
Its working better now if I don't type really fast, but it is definitely a hardware problem then?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app

Read the INDEX. Link in my signature. It has all necessary thread links for you to get back to S-On. Read about it and see if you get a hang of it. Then ask questions in the respective threads. Much easier that way than repeating everything all over again. 90% of your questions will be answered while reading the comments, and also some that you haven't thought of yet.
Cheers.
I think I'll hold out until I can get my hands on a Galaxy S or something similar (and then put MIUI on that and sell this phone or something)
Thanks for the help anyways
I'll tag this as solved (if I can)
