[Solved]Error upgrading Radio ROM, how to fix - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi all,
I tried to flash my TPro with Blackstone Radio 1.13.25.24 downloaded from Wiki-Raphael_ExtractedRadioRoms
After the update get to 100%, the phone gets stuck on tricolor flashing screen with a message "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again"
Please anybody have an idea what might go wrong, and how can I fix this?
Thanks a lot!
Update:
Look like I didn't do Security Unlocked before flashing!!! Damned stupid!! How can I fix this, anyone? Thanks

If a soft reset didn't fix it (sounds like it didn't), then you should flash a stock touch pro rom, preferably the one for your particular device. I don't really understand why anything happened if you weren't security unlocked. You should just be able to soft reset. Hopefully you already have hard spl.
The new raphael radios (1.14's) are pretty good, imo, are worth trying.

Thanks for the reply, Ted!
You are right, soft reset doesn't help.
I had HardSPL 1.90.OliNex so hopefully I still can fix my phone.
As I digging through XDA, I found one thread that I think it is relevant to my problem.
ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1951338&postcount=11
In the thread, member dwny wrote
If the Rom has issues.....the flash will not complete and the device will be stuck in BootLoader Mode. At this point, you must FLASH a FACTORY ROM!!
Pop the battery off 1st, power up the device, device will power up in BootLoader Mode, connect to pc & FLASH your devices FACTORY ROM. This will restore your device back to it's original out the box settings.
The above only works if the device has been put through the Hard SPL or SuperCID process.

Sounds pretty much like my problem and possible solution. I think I will try it when I get home from work.
One thing I need to ask it, if my phone is stuck in BootLoader, will it be able to sync with the PC, and then got flashed?
Sorry if the question is stupid
Thanks a lot!
Update
And my TPro is safe and sound now! Here is how I did it:
1. Enter the bootloader mode
ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Raphael_For_Beginners
2. Connect the phone with PC using USB
3. Flash the phone with the HTC ROM named RUU_Raphael_hTC_Asia_WWE_5.07.707.2_Radio_Signed_Raphael_52.58.25.30_1.11.25.01_Ship.exe. Based on suggestions of dwyn.
4. After flashing the phone was fully functional.
I flashed the phone again with Energy ROM-Titanium 07-Sept, and it works flawlessly. Cheers!
Thanks for the great knowledge-base of XDA community!

Please Help!! Phone Completely Bricked

I think I may be completely screwed but hopefully someone here can help me.
I tried running the shelltool program to flash to faria's wm6 rom and now my phone is completley bricked. It is stuck on the first screen when you power the device on, the screen that says T-Mobile and tells you what rom and radio version are installed on the phone.
I have tried running the RUU provided by T-Mobile and that didnt work and I have also tried re-flashing the rom using the shelltool program using the original rom. Nothing is working and I am desperate for help.
If anyone has any ideas, please help me as this is my only cell phone and I do not have the money to replace it.
Please, please help if you can.

Did you put the phone into bootloader mode? Turn it off (pull the battery if you have to). Then hold the camera button while you turn the phone on. You'll get the bootloader screen. From there you should be able to flash a rom. (I assume Shell Tools works here, but I don't know). Is your phone a G4 or a G3?. Safest thing is to flash the Wizard Love rom I'd assume. See the stickie at the top of the forum about how to flash as it has links and all...
Thank you so much man... You seriously save my A$$.
If you are not doing it already, I recommend to back-flash first to the latest vendor provided ROM, flash your radio ROM of choice if you want (optional), then finally flash the latest ROM. This ensures that you have a solid base to start out with.
ok I have completely rebooted the phone to the base rom provided by t-mobile but I am having trouble finding shelltool so that i can still flash the rom i really want.
right now it is the standard tmobile rom.
If you know where I can download shelltool so I can flash the custom rom i want then that would be great.
A little searching or looking at the topics would have gave you your answer.

thank you thank you thank you.
PPCKitchen's BuildOS bricked my phone, and I had to do this to save it. I certainly won't muck with that app again.
Ok, please read the stickies before reflashing. Or you'll kill your device again.

Noob question about flashing (sorry, I DID read the stickies!)

Ok here goes. Be nice, I'm new...
I have a Stellar in front of me (or Kaiser, TyTynII etc) which has managed to get itself into Boot Loader. I'm usually pretty good at getting these out of it but this one has me stumped, and I'm hoping someone may be able to give me some suggestions, or confirm my suspicions that it is kaput.
It's in Serial mode at the moment, showing
KAIS130
SPL-1.82.0000
CPLD-8
on the top of the screen.
So I plugged it into the computer and it nicely popped into USB mode which then let me flash it, using the file: RUU_Kaiser_O2_UK_1.82.206.1_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.32_Ship
This appeared to take, started the process, splash screen loaded, windows mobile loaded OK and for all intents and purposes was back at the factory reset (which is what I wanted). HOWEVER.....when I performed a soft reset it went back into Boot Loader and I'm now back at square one.
Any ideas? I can't install any homebrew ROMs on this, it HAS to be the standard ROM for reasons I'm not at liberty to post here (don't worry nothing illegal is going on, suffice to say, I shouldn't really be here!)
I have at least 2 others that are doing similar as well and would like to get these fixed also. All help/comments gratefully received and I apologise again if this is covered somewhere else.
It seems you have not done any SPL hard flashing yet.
Did you really read the Flashing for Noob sticky ? It's there .. first you need to do hard SPL, SIM/CID Unlock, then only you can change your ROM to anything.
Please go back and re-read.
Sorry. Will this do anything bad to the device, only I've never done anything like that before, I've just run the ROM flash file. I've never had to do anything like you suggested before. It needs to be put back to factory as it is going to get allocated to someone - which means I then have to install a clone over the top of this.....sorry if I'm being thick. I did read the document you suggested but that resulted in me getting more confused.
If this is not the right place for me to be, please feel free to close this thread and I'll keep looking elsewhere. Cheers.
Hi,
First of all: what do you want to do? Read this to clarify your intention
Take your time, read through the WIKI first.
After that, if you still want to flash, go to the Noob sticky.
If you don't have the passion, I'd suggest just use the phone as from factory. Reading the Wiki still will give you insight and many good tips/tricks without flashing.
Edit to addI apologize.
After re-reading again, it seems that what you're trying to do is reviving the dead Kaiser. From the SPL version, it's not yet 6.1. You can check out here to see any other official ROM matches, which what you currently use seemed to be correct.
Mod, please merge this with Kaiser stuck at Bootloader thread ..
Good luck.
Edit 2
It seems that when you did a soft reset (by pushing at the small hole using stylus?), the other two buttons (camera + power) are still pressed (or due to hardware, kept being pressed), thus resulting in boot loader displayed again?
Well that's why I couldn't work out why I couldn't get the ROM to stay.....this has never happened before! So yes, I am trying to revive a seemingly busted Kaiser. The customer handed it to me in Boot Loader mode. Usually running the RUU fixes this and we can then go about rebuilding it. However in this case it really doesn't want the factory ROM but I need it to! I can quite easily get it into USB mode and flash it by running the .exe file on my desktop - but then that's about all I can do. I can't give it back to the customer as the next time he performs a soft reset or switches it off, it'll be back in Boot Loader...ARGH!
Oh, and apology accepted!
And another thing, I just tried running the exe file again and got as far as the screen alignment and the poxy thing just locked....cue soft reset and back to Boot Loader. Me not happy.
Edit: A quick check of the Hardware and all the buttons appear to be OK - nothing looks like it's stuck down
If you want to take the looooong road, perhaps you can do flashing Hard SPL, unlock SIM/CID and then flashing any other ROM/Radio. Once you get a stable working device, you can flash back the OEM using this method
I'm not sure if this custom RUU can help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334890
I haven't tried that, so it's just an idea for now.
Thread closed.
If you are still having problems with the bootloader check out my sticky.
If you need help with the flashing process check out mskip's sticky.
Only create a new thread for new issues that have not been discussed before.
Good luck
Thanks

Hard-SPL and Warranty service

Hi,
I'm going to send my Cruise for warranty service, I did install back the official ROM but should I reinstall the factory SPL too? Where can I find the link to download the original file?
Thank you very much!
Actually the flash was not sucessful, it always fail at 32%, can the hard-spl or radio rom can be the source of this failure?
But maybe that's just the radio part of the phone which died. It ran perfectly except when I typed my PIN code to activate the phone function, then it restart automatically.
I don't know if HTC will accept my phone for warranty service with an custom SPL and no ROM...
Any guess about that?
Cheers
try the second post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381600&highlight=originalspl
amazing what a search for originalspl will find
XDA is surprising me again and again. I thought it would be such a pain to find that kind of program.
I'll check with the search function next time, sorry for my laziness.
So, after try to flash the SPL, he didn't work but I could boot my custom ROM and try to flash again, still didn't work.
I guess I'm stuck with a void warranty now. My only chance is that they just don't find out when they'll check the device.
Have a look at at your spl screen what version does it say ??
When it fails at 32% does it ask you to replug your device if so unpug it then plug back in.
The SPL screen still says SPL-2.20.Olinex.
No, it doesn't ask for unplug and replug, it just starts and then it finished to 100% and tell me the flash was sucessful, then it makes the device to boot on my custom ROM.
When it the flash to the original ROM fails at 32%, the flash utility tell me my phone fail to respond and that I have to launch the recovery. But it does exactly the same thing over again (fail at 32%).
Thank you for your help!
I tried to flash SPL with another version available on the link upside and it made my phone work again. I'll check if this last, and if it does I'll keep my good ol' Cruise!
Thank you for your help meknb!

[Q] Bricked touch pro

Hi, i've got bricked touch pro. I tried to hard reset and flash (tael rom), but it did nothing. Phone turns on, displays 'touch pro' and software version, and then deads. What should i do?
Have you ever flashed your touchpro? If so, can you tell what (ROM) you flashed it with? If not, can you tell if this is in fact a GSM or CDMA version touchpro?
No, phone isn't mine, my friend gave me it to repair. Before flashing it had original software. Rom that i flashed with is TAEL ROM v6.28244. It's GSM version. Thank you for answer
Sorry, somehow I missed that. What about flashing HardSPL? Most custom ROMs require this before you flash the ROM. I'm not 100% about if Teal ROM does but I suspect it wouldn't hurt...
Yes, i flashed hardspl before and after flashing, and nothing. I got no idea. Phone got new software and its after hard reset, and still don't want to turn the OS on. Maybe its hardware fault?
It possible but it's also possible that you may have missed a step and your phone has nothing to really display. Need you to do this for me to check to see if the bootloader is still intact. Remove the battery, press and hold the volume down key while you hook up your device to your computer and see if it goes directly to the bootloader/multi-color screen.
Yeah, of course bootloader is working, otherwise how could I flash it
So wait, you flashed hardspl before AND after you flashed the ROM? I don't know why I am just catching these little details after the fact. You shouldn't flash hardspl after you flash a ROM. Have you tried to just flash a ROM lately; without flashing hardspl?
Yes, i did, but there were no result, so i flashed hardspl and still nothing
Okay but you need only to flash hardspl once. Unless you missed a step, you don't need to flash hardspl after you flash a ROM. It is possible that you have missed something in flashing hardspl and are now left with an unflashable device. Can you confirm that you have successfully flashed hardspl to your device and that it took?

9. To confirm you installed it correctly, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 1.90.OliNex

pleas i need your help
i,m sorry because my English is not very good
thanx
I'm not familiar with XTC clips or the effects they may have on the phone, but there are some things you could try.
Can you hard-reset the phone? This requires holding a few different buttons at power-on (look it up) but it's possible.
Can you boot the phone to Update/Recovery mode, and try restoring a Zune backup that you made previously? Press and hold the Camera button while starting the phone, then connect it to the PC and start Zune.
Do *not* attempt a custom ROM; SPL 4.6 will break if you try to use RSPL/HSPL. However, you could try using the CAB sender (if you can get to update mode) to downgrade the phone, and then flash a custom ROM instead (since you can obviously get to bootloader mode).

Try re-flashing a stock ROM. There are links to many ROMs on the XDA-Developers Wiki; just go to the page for your device and there should be a link for ROMs.
Other than that, the only other advice I can offer is to replace your phone under warranty, as it's obviously not working...
have you tried a stock rom?>
HTC has some limitations on flashing custom rom
If it still doesn't work,i;m afraid u need to use some special tools (Y-line?goden card?I really don;t know how to translate these thing,my English is much poor than you)
thank you very much
i tried a lot of stocks ROM i,ll try again
pleas if you have another way tell me these way
The only other thing I can think of to try is downgrade your bootloader, install HSPL, and flash a custom ROM. However, if flashing a stock ROM didn't fix it, I doubt this will.
At a guess, you have a hardware defect - possibly bad RAM, for example - that is causing the phone to crash at a certain point during bootup. I suggest that you just get it replaced, if at all possible.
